Good, not great, steak cooked close to ordered. This is a very expensive restaurant although the Sunday half off their wine list special is a great reason to return.
It was well worth the price. We were treated like welcome guest to their home.
It was fabulous from start to finish! Great food and excellent service
Had a great time, food was wonderful and good service.
While very good, we had to send both steaks back as they were overdone. On the second try they were cooked perfectly although some grizzle was noted in both of our strips.
Service was great as they did not make an issue as to the steak problem. It should
also be noted that the wine had to be sent back as it was not quite right.
Very pricey but good.
Took my steak loving 20 something nephew here. I may have ordered the wrong thing, bronzino, but it was basically flavorless. My nephew ordered the hanger steak special. He took a very long time eating it, I actually don't think he wanted to finish it but he didn't want to be rude.
Probably wont go back
Great food, friendly staff members. Overall great service!
great restaurant food was excellent. loved the jalapeno mashed potatoes.
I really enjoyed the food. The waiter was great & service as well. Will definitely be back !
I was disappointed - I have good memories of dinners at BLT when we lived in White Plains. Had not been there in a couple of years. The popovers were okay (a bit overdone - and I had so looked forward to them!), the onion rings (which I also thoroughly loved during previous visits) were mushy and tasteless). The steak was excellent as always.
Totally overpriced on almost every item on the bar, wine and dinner menu. It's a nice place, but not worth the money when there are much better steakhouses in the area and NYC for less. The Porterhouse for 2 was somewhat bland and boring. Don't waste your time and money.
Bacon appetizer way too salty. French fries with distracting starchy coating, like so many do nowadays. Fresh cut fries or perfectly cooked steak fry style potatoes are so much better. Onion rings too puffy and not crunchy. Profiteroles were mealy. Steak was tasty. Waiter was knowledgeable and personable.
No need to go back.
Service was fairly poor my last visit to BLT (usually it's exceptional). The waiter would disappear nowhere to be found a few times when we wanted to order more drinks. I had to flag down a different person twice to take our drink orders, this isn't typical for BLT. When spending 500 dollars for two people I demand a bit better service, the last visit was a major let down. The people sitting next to us got comped a free drink for complaining about it, my gf and I did not complain so nothing offered. Don't care about the free drink as we're not one to complain or need any handouts but use caution if you want prompt service. Food was excellent as usual at least!
It was ok. For being in the Ritz, you would have thought the ambiance would have been nicer. The steak was good not great.
I continue to go back to BLT WP because of its convenient location. However, recently, every time I do, I regret it.
The service is friendly-ish. However, it is slow and choppy (I am not sure the Saturday night crew knows table assignments).
The food, usually reliable, is now a question. I had my usual, hanger steak ($37), but now "Hunter" style, topped with braised mushrooms. In a word: Gross. First of all, the dark brown mushrooms on the brown steak...you get the picture. Second, they taste terrible, way too sweet. I pushed the mushroom concoction off to the side but no one on the staff inquired.
Also, valet parking is an additional $10 and BLT does not validate. It takes way too long to retrieve the car too, but it is better than parking up the street for a reduced rate.
So, over $110 per person (including tip) for inconsistent service, mediocre food, loud dining room and nickel-and-dimed parking? It is time to find the time to find a White Plains replacement.
Great service very attentive staff.
The staff did a great job accommodating us for my wife's birthday. I would highly recommend them in the future for a special occasion.
Excellent as always!
Popovers are incredible...
Ordered the Porterhouse for two and it was so underwhelming. Flavorless and sad. The truffle mashed potatoes were great and so were the Popovers. Unfortunately will likely not return.
Food was excellent. Steak knives were disappointing and couldn’t cut anything!
I have been to BLT before and this was a most disappointing experience. We ordered filet mignon and a cowboy/ribeye steak. The filet was overcooked for a medium request, but I wanted to make the most of my wife's birthday celebration and not create a fuss. However , my wife's cowboy/ribeye was so tough that my wife could not eat it. A ribeye is her favorite and she always orders it at other steakhouses but what she experienced at BLT was poor. The waiter did not even come over to our table to see how the steaks were cooked. We had to flag down someone else who ended up taking back the ribeye and bringing my wife a new one. The second one was not much better than the first and she ended up taking it home for the babysitter. A most disappointing evening at BLT.
Food quality was really good but menu selection somewhat limited and not quite matching my taste
I have spent my entire life in the New York city area and have dined at almost every steak house and this was far and away the worst experience I have ever had at such an establishment. From the moment we sat down we were rushed to make decisions on everything from our water to our deserts. And what was most shocking was that that when our entrees arrived there were room temperature at best. I have never been to a steak house before where the best part of the meal were the side dishes!! Also while our server was rushing us through our meal she neglected to even attempt to pour wine for us as we had to pour our own wine twice (I know that sounds like a first world problem but when you pay in excess of $125 for a bottle of wine you would expect better service). The final straw came at the end of night when after 10 minutes of waiting (ironic because of how we were rushed through dinner) we had to go into the coat room ourselves to find our coats. In short not what I would expect from a "high end" establishment. Lastly they don't validate parking.
The best steak house in Westchester with the freshest popovers!
Awesome dinner at BLT! Came here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and we had a great dining experience. He had the lamb which he said was cooked perfectly and I had the branzino which was excellently seasoned. The service was impeccable and everyone was attentive to us, not just our waitress!
We will definitely be back again and would highly recommend BLT to others in the Westchester area.
We were there for an anniversary, and were treated amazingly...can't wait to go back!
The food was excellent and the experience was one of a kind. Highly recommended this restaurant to everyone.
Visitor came from out of the country and wanted to eat a very good steak
We had a great night with two negatives. My steak was under cooked when sent out to me and the Brussels sprouts were over cooked as well. The Truffle mash was great. My wife’s steak was perfect and our dessert was delicious. My wife also strictly drinks cosmos and she said that they were fantastic.
Our service was really the star of the night. The management staff was very engaged with the guests and our server was always there when we needed him but never hovering. A nice quiet dinner. I would go back again and definitely recommend this as a great choice if you don’t want to travel into the city for a good steak. Thanks to everyone at BLT especially the AGM Anthony V for making our anniversary dinner a great one.
Table of 5, but they put us in the back room which is used for private parties. Felt like I was not part of the restaurant. Very disappointing
Food and service was outstanding ! The best meal I have ever had!
Wonderful, classy and delicious food!
This was a lovely place for a special dinner - with excellent food, terrific, friendly service and nice ambiance. The cost is very high - so would be hard to recommend to most people. On a Monday night, it was quiet and comfortable - not sure how it would be if fully seated.
Our steaks were great and the wedge salad was amazing. The popovers are to die for. Could have done without the "special" stuffed mushroom (not much taste) and onion rings had good presentation but were a strong ok.
The drinks were good and we had a nice dinner. Definitely pricey so more of a special occasion place for us. Like I said, if you are going for steak, you will enjoy
Service was a bit slow but the food and ambiance were excellent!!
We really enjoy BLT and this was the first time we took our daughter who’s 5. She had Mac n cheese as an appetizer which she enjoyed very much and a filet mignon as the main dish. She ate a good portion of it.
I had the 14oz bone in filet ordered Med rare and it was super tender and delicious. I accompanied it with grilled asparagus. My meal was over loaded with salt that i couldn’t even finish the asparagus. The steak was a bit salty as well. I do cook with salt and understand it adds flavor but it was way too much last. Our past experiences have not been overly salty.
However the steak was really tender!!!
My husband had the lobster bisque to start. He thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a huge bowl...
As his main dish he ordered the 20oz Cowboy steak and enjoyed his very much!
The service is always very good and attentive. Jamal was friendly, smiling and eager to accommodate you. We really enjoy ourselves when we dine here and will return, but next Tme I’ll tell them easy on the salt.
The service was excellent but the food didn't meet my expectation. I ordered a wedge salad and steak. I expected greatness from this restaurant. for the price you pay It's not worth it. Average salad that didn't have enough cheese or dressing. My steak was overcooked. It was our first time there. I'm glad we tried but we won't be going back.
Neat place. Great service. Good food. Ribeye not as large as you. Would think
Delicious as always! Edwin and Rafael were so kind and wonderful servers! We love the pate that comes with the bread!!
