A first class meal served by attentive staff in a classy ambiance. Absolutely worth the price.
And the “triple chocolate” cake is to die for
Beautiful quiet restaurant with attention to details. Great food and relaxing atmosphere for business discussions and enjoyable conversations. Food and staff were both wonderful!
Ordered the seafood cocktail to start and was told the crab portion of it was not available. For main course we ordered the porter house for two with the leek hash browns and brusselsprouts. The steak was a nice cut but lacked the dry aged taste of a steak that was suppose to be dry aged for 28 days. The hashbrowns lacked flavor. Tasted like boiled potatoes. Brusselsprouts were ok. Dessert we shared the triple chocolate cake. This was almost inedible. Very little cake and a whole lot of some kind of fudge layer. Wasn’t worth the money for what we got.
Disappointing this time around. Food only okay. Wedge salad was prepared with bitter yellow leaves. Black bass portion was quite small; not enough for an adult portion. Staff very friendly.
Waiter took a long time to come back to take our order. Steak was gritty and the lettuce on the wedge salad was brown.
Best steaks & of course their famous popovers! Service & dinner was superb!
We had great service. Our waiter was very attentive. The food was wonderful too. Love those popovers!
Food was decent for a steakhouse, but not great. Service was very inattentive. Drinks never refilled etc.. the popovers for bread were the highlight of the meal. The ocean seafood tower was decent but tiny compared to its price. The steak was very solid. The chocolate cake for desert was significantly better than it looked and a nice sized piece.
The popovers are delicious. The food is well prepared. It is a bit pricy.
The food was delicious. Large portions The wait staff amazing. Not rushed out- very welcoming. The popovers were terrific as was the liver pate
Service was perfunctory to poor. Steak was overdone. $400 w/ tip and no wine is a crazy price to pay for such an incredibly mundane dinner.
Having been to BLT Gramercy I was very excited about the meal. We all ordered steak. Bone in filet, regular filet, and two strip steaks. I had the bone in filet rare, and it was awful. Completely flavorless, tough and sinewy. The others in my party complained about the steaks as well. Appetizers were average and below. After a 750$ bill for 5 I was thoroughly disappointed. Does not come close to my experience at BLT Gramercy.
The service was quite good.
Excellent service and food. Staff is very attentive.
This is the second time we have been there. It is worth the half hour drive for us. Great for steak and seafood. Not cheap, but worth it. Excellent service. Had to ask for the bread-cheese poppers this time. They are amazing, but don't eat whole piece or you will be too full for dinner!
This was one of the best meals I have ever had. I would just tell anyone to give this restaurant a try and they won't be disappointed.
Excellent service! Absolutely delicious!
As always the service at BLT was exemplary. Knowledgeable staff and a solid wine list help to make the experience always memorable. Regrettably, the steak selections have contracted somewhat from prior years however the quality remains superb. BLT remains a favorite, particularly on Sundays with 50% off on all wines in their library! A family favorite.
The restaurant is really nice! Service is top notch. My steak was the worst I ever had in a steak house and this experience goes back to the 1970’s. I ordered the cowboy medium rare, it came blue, I did ask for it to be cooked some more. What returned was a fat and grizzled piece of meet. I was entertaining a client so I didn’t want to make a fuss. Maybe it was a off night but a $59 steak should be perfect every time!
Went for a Graduation celebration.
Barry Brennan, the General Manager, and the entire staff did everything possible to make sure our experience was enjoyable. I apologize for forgetting our waiter's name but he was exceptional as well. The bill was what you should expect from a steak house but well worth it. Food was delicious! Again, great service, beautiful decor, cleanest and fanciest bathrooms in America. Seriously, the entire experience was 5 out of 5 stars, or a 10 on a scale of 1-10 (10 being totally awesome). Please, please, please, don't leave without eating the freshly baked popovers.
Birthday celebration - food was good, service was great, but for a special event it was not a very “special” kind of meal. Wine list very expensive with few reasonable options, steak was cooked to temperature but slightly undercooked and the hash browns were oily and unremarkable.
Food, service and atmosphere all very good but on a Wednesday evening at 9:00pm noise level was too elevated for our tastes.
Food and waitstaff service were great but we were seated right under a very powerful A/C vent blowing freezing cold air. We asked a few times for the vent to be shut off because we were literally sitting there shivering, but we were told the restaurant had no control over heat and AC and they would have to call the building manager whom they were never able to contact. They nicely provided us with some scarves and offered to move us when our main course was about to arrive, but at that point we just wanted to eat and get outside and warm up and didn’t want to move.
food was great service was great and the overall experience was amazing
Steak was fatty and chewy.
Spinach was all garlic.
Noise level was way up.
Too many little kids for such a pricy spot.
Wait staff was very good.
A disappointing evening. The porterhouse steak was cold when served, as was the baked potato. The NY Strip was a major disappointment; not thick or anywhere near the quality of Frankie and Johnnie's or Benjamin's or Gabriel's.
Never a dull moment. Service and food are phenomenal every time !
This is our go-to place in downtown White Plains. My wife and I have been dining at BLT WP for several years and it 's continually getting better. Whether as a couple, group or family of all ages the food is great and suitable for all tastes. Everyone is extremely accommodating and is happy to customize dishes to suit individual needs. Sommelier, Kevin and Floor Manager, Rachel, who work the room like champs, offer best in class services and customer service.
My family and I dined at BLT for my graduation dinner. It was a lovely evening to say the least. The wine, the food, and the service were all remarkable! We all had a great time and will be returning for our next special occasion!
Outstanding meal all around. Love the pate and Yorkshire Pudding Porterhouse for 2 was tender and tasty if not slightly more overdone then we asked for.
Very much enjoyed celebrating our anniversary here. Food & waitstaff were both very good. Excellent lighting & nice modern decor. Just wish the view were a bit nicer. Too bad the Ritz doesn't validate for parking, either. Still, a great place for a nice meal out.
We are never disappointed with the food or the service! This is one of our fav spots! Classy and delicious!
We dined twice at this restaurant and both experiences were a disappointment. On each occasion we ordered filets. I am sure that were not served tenderloin. The meat was stringy and somewhat tough. The visible grain of the meat guarantees that this was NOT a filet. The meals were expensive and the quality was cheap. I cannot recommend the filet.
The meal was very enjoyable. The steak was tender and cooked to perfection. The servers were very attentive. Great selection of wine . It all made for a very lovely evening.
I have gone to this restaurant every year to celebrate my birthday. This year was a disappointment. I ordered steak cooked medium, and it was delivered very rare. Others in my party had the same undercooked experience. Also, my husband ordered the filet mignon, cooked medium, which was served rare, with the butchers twine still in place. I have Never seen this before in a 5 star establishment. The final disappointment was that they changed the dessert menu and no longer offer the favored peanut butter dessert, that everyone was looking forward to. I guess next year its back to the Palm in NYC.
It was fabulous.... food was very good.. service was excellent..
My family dined at BLT for Mother’s Day. The restaurant’s decor and lighting- both natural lighting and hanging chandeliers- makes the atmosphere very enjoyable. The food was delicious. The scallops were perfectly seared and tender, paired with a small salad that had a nice vinegary zing. We wanted skirt steak or hanger steak for the kids but they were out of stock as they were busy that night. They were also out of the larger size filet so we were a bit disappointed given it is a steakhouse. Despite that, we had a smaller filet mignon and strip steak which were cooked just right and well flavored. The service was terrific- professional, attentive. Also, the manager gave us the filet on the House to make up for the fact they were out of what we wanted. At the end, the waiter took a great family picture for us. Although pricey, I would go back for a nice dinner out.
Went for Mothers Day brunch. As Restaurant is not usually open for lunch, they added a few items to their regular menu (like French Toast) but the adults were very happy with selection of appetizers and salads and the World's Best Popovers.
Have eaten at BLT in Manhattan, and the White Plains outpost seems very comparable.
The food and service were first rate. Very attentive staff.
Although pricey it well worth the price.
Gluten free choices were good
