The service was not there for this price tag and for the few customers that were there on the Sunday night. The steak was delicious.
A Friday night here is so noisy that you cannot hear the person next to you. Overall
we had a disappointing dinner after one guest received overcooked lamb chops.
After sending it back, while everyone else had their food, we waited 30 minutes
for the lamb to cut back. poor managing of the cooks as this should have been prioritized.
Service was poor and not at all attentive. While I have been here many times, this was
the worst and I am not sure that I will return. The food was okay but nothing special.
Convenient if at the hotel, but there is no longer any reason to dine here.
The meat came in cold. The liver pate was old. The best part was the fish/seafood entrees in a steak place. Second time it wasn’t so great and I’m not going back.
Service was very slow and restaurant was not crowded. Many tables around us arrived much later than us, were served appetizers and entrees before we were served our entree. Food was bland; creamed spinach has funny taste. While BLT is certainly not a value meal, prices were not commensurate with quality of offering.
Birthday.. greatt food and great service!
Absolutely picturesque along with a pleasant, warm and friendly environment 🥰
Where do you go for your 70th birthday? We went to BLT and loved it. The wait staff are friendly, attentive and the food was cooked to perfection.
The food was delicious. The service was fantastic. Unlike a number of other venues, this restaurant has been fortunate enough to be able to retain talent at all levels, from front of house to service to kitchen. So glad we dined here tonight!
We were celebrating Father's day and while the staff/service was great, the food was just ok. Of coure the signature popovers were amazing. However, for the prices, the meat was not as good as we remembered it. One steak that was requested to be medium rare, came out medium and was very tough. The filet's were not as juicy as they should have been. We did enjoy but it in the end it was a very expensive meal for just so-so quality
Best of the suburbs. Svce was a little slow though.
Seems they are short of staff, both in the kitchen and wait staff. Our waiter was very helpful. While both my wife and myself did not want the popovers made with cheese, our waiter did find some popovers made without the cheese, But, the popovers were still mostly frozen. Main meal was served at about 8:30pm we arrived at 7:15, so long wait between appetizers and main meal. The timing between course was very off. Had to flag waiter for a drink refill and for the check.
The steak was wonderful, we both had the cowboy ribeye, the side dishes also quite good.
Excellent food service
the service was poor and the restaurant was understaffed. some of the food arrived cold. My chicken was overcooked. i had to ask for a refill of ice tea 3 times. our waiter left us after taking our drink order (undelivered) to take care of a table of about 16 to 18. didn't return until i got the manager involved, Completely different from my frequent and excellent experiences in your Lexington Avenue location in Manhattan.
The interior is sparse and the tables are close together reminiscent of a time before Covid. The prices are fine if the food were exceptional, unfortunately, it was not. The staff tries however it comes down to the food. Just not worth the trip.
Restaurant was empty and waiters everywhere but needed to call for waiters. Food was mediocre to poor. Family said meat was tasteless and not great quality. Used to love this restaurant but won’t be back.
Great food, service and atmosphere!
Very disappointing. Have eaten there previously last year (and it was terrific), as well as BLT in Puerto Rico more than 50 times in past years. Food was very uneven. Popovers were great as ever; sides were also excellent. The steaks were not cooked as ordered and the chicken was reheated and dry. Desserts were excellent. The Vermentino wine was mediocre and the server poured the Pinot Noir into my son's glass first, even though I had ordered the wine. (Tres sexist). I have authored two books on nutrition with recipes from major chefs. The last one sold more than 600,000 copies.
Love and frequently use your cookbook. So sorry that dinner did not live up to expectations in what was one of my favorites.
The food and service were outstanding. The thick cut bacon was great and it might have been the best wedge salad I've had. The waiter was exceptional and we would definitely go back again for a special ocassion.
I have to say the staff was great. Manager, waiters, busboy, etc. Great service and really attentive. I give them credit for how they handled our dinner.
Food, yeah not good. Specifically the steak. My friend and I almost had to send our ribeye steaks back twice. Actually, they overcooked it more the 2nd time. We didn’t have the heart to send it back again. We just ate it.
The took one of our wine bottles off the check and that was a nice gesture. Kudos to BLT staff! But for a not cheap piece of steak, in a high end restaurant, the inability to get medium rare right is disappointing. Not sure I’ll be going back anytime soon.
However like I said, the staff, ambiance, those things are great.
Family dinner and staycation in White Plains. Service was excellent and patient with our two kids (7 and 4 years old). Filet and shrimp scampi were prepared to perfection. The popovers were incredible. We’ll be dreaming of them until our next visit!
Great food. Attentive service. Terrible piped in music.
Loved the steak and Malbec wine. Wish the Mediterranean salad was back on the menu- but overall great dinner and night!
Last time we’re we’re at BLT was a few years ago
Steak was far superior at our most recent visit
Sides and salads were very good
Only complaint is that steaks were not as hot as compared to other steak houses
We had a fabulous dinner with excellent service
Cold pop overs, chewy steak, small portions
From cocktails to after dinner specialty coffees and drinks, everything was wonderful. A really classy yet comfortable atmosphere lends itself to comfort as we dined in wonderful foods. The complimentary popovers, served prior to the meal, were a real treat and served perfectly with accompanying butter and sea salt shaker. The appetizers were unique and tasty, well presented on the plate. And the steak AND Bronzino fish dish were perfectly prepared and tasty, Quality is foremost here and I would highly recommend it for anything from a first date to a major celebration.
First time back since covid. Some changes to the menu but not enough to affect our experience. Food was fair but overall it was so noisy and the air conditioning was blasting so much that it truly ruined the experience. It was so cold that we had to send someone home for sweatshirts and I was still shivering an hour after getting home. It was so noisy that we were a table of 5 and couldn’t hear each other across the table. Sadly won’t be going back in the near future. There are too many other comparable steak restaurants to choose over blt.
Booked table for 4 for my birthday. Service lacked its usual pedigree and felt detached as many different wait staff waited on us but none ever introduced themselves formally at the start of our meal. Service was slower than normal as we were seated at 7:30 and did not get our main course until just after 9. As far as food goes, main courses were especially disappointing. Ordered porterhouse steak rare, but it was very cold in the center, not simply cool as advertised on the menu. While it had a nice exterior char, it seemed to lack the strong savoriness and topping of melted butter it usually is finished with. The sides, usually a shoe-in for the clean plate club, were bland and flavorless. The Mac and Cheese tasted as if it had just been bathed in heavy cream, with no cheese whatsoever in its watery-thin sauce, same thing for the creamed spinach. Truffle mashed potatoes had good texture but again lacked seasoning. What happened to the hash browns?? Disappointed to see this already small menu get rid of an excellent side like that. The asparagus and Brussels sprouts were probably the best thing this steakhouse kitchen put out the entire night. Skipped dessert. With so many steakhouses out there to choose from, I hope BLT can return to its pre-covid form. It’s a great location with a nice dining room.
Great Steak and service.....first class, all the way !
Fantastic job of social distancing indoors. Good was excellent as always!
The biggest issue was the steak. I ordered it medium and it came rare. No one came to the table after the food was delivered until about 30 mins in. At that point the rest of the table was 1/2 way done with their meal. The restaurant is very loud and some of the kids didn't help with that. Overall I'm not impressed with a steakhouse messing up the one thing they shouldn't.
Everything was great. Except we ordered our steak Medium Well
and we received a well done steak. No pink inside.
But we enjoyed the dining experience overall.
Feels like food quality has gone down
Outstanding food. Best place in White Plains. Love the home made bread. To die for.
A pandemic review: It's still a great pleasure to visit this restaurant - Every care is taken to make the diner feel safe. What is also still amazing is the level of quality - the meal is every bit as delicious - considering the many accommodations needed to stay safe.
The popovers, the steaks, the lamb - the salads - are all standout dishes. Chocolate cake is the most dense and satisfying as any I can remember, and even simple coffee after dinner is a pleasure. Congratulations to the entire staff, the chef, the servers for a wonderful experience during difficult times. This is always a 'go-to' place for celebrations and for relaxing after an event. We look forward to better times and a healthier future.
