View Private Dining DetailsOur first time to this restaurant. The complimentary popovers and crostini served with house made pate were great.Shared a Cowboy steak prepared medium and it was presented in a cast iron skillet. Was an excellent piece of meat and cooked perfectly! Enjoyed a side of kale and spinach and the sautéed mushrooms. Great wine list priced typically for a NYC upscale restaurant. We had a bottle of the Shea Vineyard Willamette Valley Pinot Noir which was delicious. A great meal and will keep it on the list when in MYC.
Outstanding! We were visiting NYC and this restaurant was suggested after we could not get reservation for Peter Luger. The service was fantastic, the food—SUPERB!
Fantastic meal in a comfortable setting! And the popovers!! I have no words other than , “ Heaven!”
I thought the food was OK. We had a strip steak which was OK but nothing special. I would have thought for the price it should have been more tender with more flavor. With so many choices in New York I would not go back. Tuna Tatar was good as was the Brussel Sprouts. We asked for no added salt but the french fries were very salty. They credited them on the bill without us asking . Service and ambiance were very nice.
It was fair not great, steaks were a bit dry. We wouldn’t go back.
Great food and service. Good business lunch.
Service inattentive and slow. Food was very good. If you go for dinner plan to stay for breakfast.
We went to BLT Steak for our ain’t 25th birthday. It was outstanding!!!
My friends and I enjoyed food. BUT a couple next table let their child to watch cartoons with iPhone and we could hear its sound during our dinner. We didn't like it. We are paying more than $100 dinner. We deserve better than that.
Looking to bring my parents to a NY steakhouse and couldn't get a reservation at the classic joints except BLT, but this was good fortune. Service was impeccable, decor proper, ambience quiet.
We ordered the 22oz cowboy steak, 14oz filet mignon, hangar steak, branzino, and tuna tartare. The cowboy steak was one of the best I've had, the filet mignon was a generous portion, the hangar steak was good, the branzino was tender, and the tuna tartare was flavorful though a bit heavy on soy sauce. They also gave us duck pate which was smooth though a bit salty, giant popovers which might be the best bread I've had in NY, and delicious chocolate madeleines.
The whole experience is worth its value. Will definitely recommend and have no reservations about returning!
Initially seated near the bar in noisy area. Asked to be relocated and was without any hesitation. The food was excellent but the service was as good as it could be. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will return when next in the city. Thank you to the BLT team.
They had a special, Kobe burger. Was great. They didn’t mention nor did they write down that it had bacon on it. That’s a pretty big deal these days. A lot of people, religious or not, do not eat pork. It’s a key thing to highlight for all customers, even at a steakhouse, where the focus is beef. They didn’t refund us, or offer us anything in return for this negative experience. We simply didn’t make a fuss and removed the bacon and told them they should have mentioned it or written it on the specials menu. Poor form. This was a religious issue for me. Left a bad taste.
I was extremely disappointed with the quality of food. For something as simple as a 10 ounce filet mignon, prepared “medium”, only to get it well done and then sent back for a new piece that was purple in the middle is highly disappointing. The new piece was extremely tough and hard on the outside. A filet shouldn’t feel rubbery but in this case it did. I have eaten here before with much better results but today I was extremely disappointed.
I took my son here for dinner on Sunday night for an authentic New York steak dinner before we headed back out of town. Our server was very attentive and most embarrassed when not only our first but second choice cuts of meat were not available. This was very disappointing. The food we ended up with was tasty but definitely unimpressed that a steakhouse of this caliber and reputation could be so short stocked on a Sunday night.
Our daughters birthday.
It was just ok
Excellent steak! My friend and I split the NY Strip - it was delicious!! We had the creamed spinach and mashed potatoes for sides. The pop overs they bring out before the meal are amazing. You really don't need a starter with those coming out.
So expensive smd so worth every pennie. So much in Nyc is over priced and if meh quality. This place is wonderful. Food service and hospitality. Bacon , fries, strip and cocktails are best in city. The popovers are of legend
Skip wine. Nothing under$70. Do a beer or cocktail
I come here for many years and as always good food.
This place seems to have gone downhill recently.
Great place to dine. Portions were really impressive. I will visit BLT on my next trip back to the Big Apple!
Outstanding dining experience. Not too noisy, very attentive staff, food is consistently delicious.
Excellent restaurant. Great service. Our 5th time here. Never a disappointment
Simply the best!!
I enjoyed the food and the service. Their free popovers are enormous and delicious. I had the petite filet mignon which was cooked perfectly. It came with a lobster role, which was tasty but skimpy. There should have been more lobster, considering the dish costs $42.00. I also think it's petty to charge $3.00 for sauces! That's ridiculous, even for a steak house!
Exceptional food, service and ambiance! This is an amazing lunch experience and a must stop during our yearly trips to NYC.
Not as good as it use to be! The steaks were cold!
Always fabulous. Terrific lobster Cobb salad. Caring professional staff!
My fiancé and I chose to dine at BLT Steak for our 4 year anniversary. Upon being seated, we were promptly brought complimentary glasses of champagne. The food was delicious and the service was top-notch. We would definitely return.
The worst Dover sole ever! I suspect it was frozen; this delicate fish was way overcooked, and served with a gloppy, insipid sauce. For $61, it should be perfect. Tuna tartare in a pool of soy sauce was — not surprisingly — much too salty.
Everything about it excellent except for the price. I found it higher than comparable steak houses
Other than the price the experience was excellent food prepared as ordered and waiters/staff very responsive and knowledgable
We’ve eaten here a number of times, primarily based on location vs. our hotel. It’s a decent steakhouse with very good service, but the quality of the steaks and sides is better at some other NY steakhouses.
Delicious dover sole!
The experience was not as good as our previous visits. For such high prices, service was not prompt as it used to be, and didn't seem coordinated with the kitchen (our Dover sole was overcooked). The dessert (just plain fresh berries) took a long time to be brought to the table, and we had to ask for it several times. The food was good but overpriced for a bistro
Service from start to finish was impeccable
雰囲気もサーブのスピードも良いです。
Always have a great time here! The pop overs are amazing and their cocktails and steaks are amazing!
This place is always great. The service is on point, the food is always fantastic and the wine list is superior. I go to BLT Steak every chance I get.
I get much better service with my husband who always orders an expensive bottle of wine. I get it! But it would be nice to be tested well with my children too...
2/16, we enjoyed the service who was very attentive.
