BLT Steak DC Ratings and Reviews
The staff was very nice. A great place if you are trying to have a very fancy dinner. Everything is very expensive - probably the most expensive place I've eaten but the food was very delicious (& I don't mind spending money for great food!). I went for my Birthday with my boyfriend. We shared the filet (about 50$ / 12 oz) - the server seemed kind of annoyed we were sharing the steak but we normally don't eat any more than 8 oz filet when we go out anyway - so it was kind of weird - they didn't offer a smaller filet. We also ordered 2 sides (creamed spinach & truffle mashed), Caesar salads to start which where pretty large for a side salad (which was good because they were each 14$). We -also got the Strawberry sundae for dessert - with a candle of course!
We really had a great time and a great meal for my birthday! The manager and everyone wished me a happy birthday & checked on us multiple times.
I would recommend this place if you have the money to spend on a very fancy meal!! Very fancy and delicious.
I frequently eat dinner at BLT and the experience, food and staff are always topnotch! Special shoutouts to our wonderful server Marco. He is one of the best! Very nice, accommodating and checks in with with table just enough - not too much, not too little. Marco also is very knowledgeable on menu and wine selections.
A shoutout to General Manager Beau Monroe, too. He stopped by our table a couple times and is noticeably helpful with everything. He really has his pulse on dining room activity. And he's always kind and professional.
A nice touch, too, on this evening was the chef also stopping by our table to chef on the food preparation. Everything was great!
BLT Steak is one of my favorite places to dine in D.C.
Probably the best cooked Filet mignon I have ever seen or ate. The popovers were light crispy and tasty. Had one for dessert. The chopped salad was delicious. The oil cured olives cut the feta and sweet corn beautifully. The East and West oysters were wonderful. We liked the smaller but tastier West coast oyster the best. Excellent service and wines. The carrot cake was not the typical. It was more of a carrot based spice cake with a dark caramel and on site made ginger ice cream. Two thumbs up. Great night out!
I went for a birthday dinner. It was awful! The popovers, carrots, and Dover Sole were cold and rubbery. The fish and carrots were sent back and the fish was like eating hot rubber. My filet was tough and didn’t have a lot of flavor. I make a better streak myself. They didn’t have Bloody Mary mix or prime rib, and they ran out of syrup for coke. It was 7:15pm on a Friday night. The service wasn’t great. I spent over $200 for an awful meal and service that wasn’t worth a $30 tip. The noise was really loud. You couldn’t hear the person sitting next to you. Don’t go! You would get a better meal staying at home. It was the worst birthday dinner I ever had!
Das Essen können wir sehr empfehlen. Der Service ist ebenfalls sehr gut. Ob Fisch oder Fleich
absolut TOP!
Jederzeit wieder TOP
PS: 4-5 Sterne für das Essen
PS: 3-4 Sterne für das Ambiente, für Europäer gewöhnungsbedürftig, kleiner Tisch für 4 - Personen und etwas dunkel - like US
The filet mignon was outstanding as was the porterhouse. The dining experience begins with wonderful and warm popovers. The topcat cut of wagyu is good but our table preferred the taste /tenderness of the filet. Also, some of the meat comes with more of a crust (purposeful part of their cooking process) than some in our party desired. Sides of mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts were delicious. Overall, a great Christmas Eve dinner close to the White House and national tree.
The double cut rack of lamb is just amazing especially with the garlicky kale with pine nuts. My friend wanted to try the beef tongue and it was surprisingly good with the risotto. Their complimentary patte is so good. My friend goes there for their bread the giant turnovers but we may have found new reason to go back I had the best dessert velvet in my life - crepe soufflé. Just try it it’s just sooo yummy and light and the passion fruit sauce is just the right touch!!
Wow! First time here and our whole table was super impressed! There was not one miss during the entire meal. The little chicken pate amuse bouche was tasty and smooth. The appetizers were great -- we had the crab cake and the grilled, smoked bacon. Salads were tasty -- beet salad, chopped vegetable and the simple yet amazing Bibb lettuce salad (the mustard dressing was to die for!)
Kansas City strip steak was very good. The filet mignon at 12 oz. easily served two with a little left for the doggie bag. We had the Brussel sprouts, Mac and cheese, hen of the woods mushrooms and mashed potatoes for our sides. Loved them all, especially the mushrooms and the Mac and cheese. Our teenage daughter pronounced the mashed potatoes "the best she's ever had!" The enormous popovers were delicious -- delivered piping hot with butter and a shake of sea salt to sprinkle. The popover recipe tucked in the basked was a nice touch.
Dessert, port and coffees rounded out a fantastic meal. Service was friendly, efficient and professional, really a cut above.
Ambiance was really nice, a little bit noisy but not too bad.
You can just tell this is an extremely well run restaurant. Highly recommend.
This is an excellent steakhouse located close to the White House. Vastly better than some neighboring steak houses (Morton's/ Bobby Vans/Ruths Chris). The steak was cooked to perfection with a delicious char. Service is professional, knowledgable and attentive. The whole staff was a pleasure to interact with. Will return soon!
Went here Saturday night for the first time out table @7:45 was not ready so we had a great cocktail at the bar the bartender was really sweet and offered to put our drink on our dinner menu , we ordered the jumbo shrimp for a starter and they were amazing ! Four per order . We really enjoyed the warm popovers they serve when you are seated . I had the steak 12 oz and shared it with my husband we also got fries and asparagus for sides . The service was excellent very attentive and professional. We will definitely be Back ! Get the Apple cobbler for desert
We had a great night out at BLT. Everyone we interacted with was a pleasure, from the host to our server and the managers. We tried several things and none of them disappointed. Their pate and popovers are great treats they send you to begin. Excellent restaurant, highly recommend.
