My fiancé and I dined at BLT on Saturday night to celebrate my 30th birthday. We did not catch our server’s name but she provided outstanding service and made me feel like I was her only customer that evening, even picking up one of our desserts. The food was prepared to perfection. Thank you for such a memorable birthday!
Amazing Service and Food Quality. I went with the local grass fed filet and truffled mash potatoes that my waiter recommended. Both were fantastic.
Great stake and excellent service
BLT Steak handled our international group of 8 with aplomb. Energetic restaurant but suitable for a business dinner. By all reports, great food, great service and a very good wine list. Recommend adding 1 veggie main, especially these days. Also a handful more affordable wine options would be nice. All in all, I recommend.
Of all the steak joints in town, we return to this one again and again. It's a consistently excellent experience. The wine selections are excellent and well-priced, the food is outstanding and the service makes us feel special. And oh, the passionfruit souffle crepe. Yowsa.
It is exactly what you would expect from a high end steak house. Not quite as high brow as Prime, but we had a great time. Tried Wagu beef and it was worth the experience. Short ribs were awesome and something different if you dont want steak. Was perfect for Mothers Day Dinner
Not a bad place. However, I had the same meal the night before at Ebbitts Grill and paid 1/3 price for a filet that was 3x more tender. The service and food prepared was excellent at BLT The quality of meat cut just not as nice for 3x the price. Just seek Breyer cuts of meat and lower prices; easy fix.
Incredibly disappointing... They had a filet trio on special that we ordered and were out of at 7pm on a Saturday. Hen of the wood mushrooms were burnt. The other filet we ended up getting was tough like a strip steak. Service was rushed. At this price point you want to sit down, enjoy dinner and not be rushed to finish.
Always the best steak in DC. Always great food. Always great service. I can make a pretty good steak at home, my these steaks are on a completely different level of excellence. Popovers, onion rings , desserts are all fabulous. Service and management are wonderful.
We went for our 6 year anniversary we had amazing service we had tuna tartar for an appetizer an it was beyond delicious the popover bread came out steaming an melted basically in your mouth the flight of filet was also perfect an perfectly cooked I will definitely be back!!
Great food and exceptional service. Would definitely recommend and return.
Fantastic food and good service. The steaks are outstanding. Great place for a special occasion.
Either way; everyday dining or special occasion- this Steakhose is phenomenal!
I have been to BLT Steak many times with clients and with my family and friends. I have never been disappointed. The steaks are always cooked to perfection; the sides are very good; and the service is outstanding. Prices are high, but you get what you pay for.
Excellent as always. BLT is my go-to for any business lunch. The food is delicious and well prepared and service is always top notch. They have great salad options for non-carnivores.
Loud, service ok, quality food and drink though
Way too loud!
Ordered a burger medium well and it came medium rare. This is the second time it has occurred at this restaurant.
The Dover Sole entree is to die for. Like the popovers too
The food at BLT was good like it’s always been when I go. But tonight 4/27/19 my friend and I decided to sit at the bar because it was empty. Kevin the bartender was the absolute best providing 5 star service. Unfortunately the time came when it was time for Kevin to clock out and end her shift so the other bartender was left to take care of me for the rest of the evening & she was the absolute worse. I didn’t get her name but she was a black young lady and I hate to pull the race card because I’m black myself but I sat at the bar for over 20-25min with a empty drink glass in front of me and not once did she ask if I wanted another drink which I did while she catered to everyone that came in and sat at the bar with us. That’s just unacceptable to me & we called her out on it. As much as I like the restaurant I left feeling a certain type way!!
High-end price, but the food and most of the service live up to the investment. Really wonderful meal and attentive staff. Only drawback - very noisy. One large place with seemingly no noise reduction in place, so I'd hesitate going back on a busy night.
The food was excellent and the service was wonderful. I ordered the ribeye steak, which came with bone marrow, and my friend ordered the short ribs. Both were really, really good. For sides, we had the mashed potatoes and cream spinach. In addition to the complimentary popover bread and bread with chicken pate, they also gave me a complimentary dessert because I was celebrating my birthday. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Terrific food and service. This is my favorite steak house in the city.
We always come here with our family when we are in DC and it's always great. Be sure to get a steak as the ovens were designed to run hot and thus get a great sear on the meat. yum.
Who doesn't love a good popover? One of my favorite places to have lunch. Service is excellent, BLT is always a treat.
The Popovers at BLT are so amazing! Everything was great!
We actually thought we booked BLT "Prime", which is in the Trump hotel. A little disappointed, we decided to make the best of it. We were pleasantly surprised starting from the wine menu. The selection was varied and the prices were fair. We enjoyed everything from the appetizers (wedge salad was AWESOME) to the dessert. The steaks were well made and presented. The staff was attentive without being overbearing. Overall an exceptional experience!
Our steaks were delicious and service was impeccable. The popovers are the best!
wife and I had a great time food and service was outstanding
BLT was featured on many DC food lists as the best steak restaurant in town so we booked it for my husband's birthday dinner. Interestingly, the only dishes we didn't like were meats - filet mignon, wagyu beef and lamb chops were all subpar. Bread, appetizers and desert were outstanding, as was the service. Disappointed
Overall, my experience at BLT Steak was a disappointment. We were subjected to a near constant barrage of people hovering to remove plates, which made the experience feel rushed and host staff repeatedly checking in to see if we needed anything which rather than a welcome check-in, felt annoying and insincere to the point of being almost comical. Dining at BLT is not inexpensive and I expected a more relaxed experience for the price point. After making my reservation, I noted in a subsequent call to the restaurant that the occasion was a special one (celebrating an engagement) and was told that it would be noted on my reservation to insure a great experience; however, not so much as a comment or any recognition was made to us.
BLT is the perfect place for a business lunch. It does get loud, but that is the only negative. Their Lobster Cobb salad is delicious! Service outstanding.
For my money they make the best steak in town. The staff is top notch, highly recommend.
Wines offered are way too expensive. Non sense
Their friendly attentive staff added several touches to make a special celebration even more memorable.
I’ve been to BLT at least a dozen times so it pains me to write this review. Made a reservation for my husband’s 40th several weeks in advance. There were 6 of us total. Place was packed and extremely loud. Service was super slow-took 10 mins to get wait staff over. Drink order took at least another 10-15 mins. This is picky but they served an old fashioned with cocktail ice which I was surprised to see considering they are a steakhouse. Server told us sides were individual portions and everyone order way too much. My branzino, though cooked fine, was cold. I should have sent it back. That’s my fault. Then we made the mistake of ordering dessert which took 20 mins! I couldn’t believe it. They apologized several times and brought us out an extra dessert and a glass of champagne but none of that really mattered at that point. I enjoyed the company but a 4 hour dinner is a bit absurd.
Jenna was our server and she was excellent .The Wedge salad was delicious and the 40 day aged steak was on point we also enjoyed some wine. We also were given plenty of time with our appatizers and our meal we were not rushed and were able to catch up with family.
We will definatly be going back when we ae in town again
Had a good steak still my favorite place is Ray’s the Steak in arlington
Just wasn't the experience I remembered and the reason I went back. Wasn't traumatic..just not memorable.
