Amazing food. Everything was cooked perfectly. We like our steak barely cooked and it was done as we asked. Our waiter, Benedict, was truly outstanding. He was a joy to be around and is everything good about a young person who is a student while trying to earn an honest living. All the other staff were great as well, everyone smiling and taking pride in their work. Well done. Highly recommend.
Another GREAT meal at BLT! The filet is always amazing...as with the waygu strip! Highly recommend the garlic kale and truffle mashed potatoes.
This night our waiter was a bit “intense” but management was able to make the meal enjoyable!
The tuna tartar was delicious, but the ribeye was just good. Tables were too close together, but the ambience was nice.
Great steak house located downtown, perfect for a business meeting. The service is first class and their steaks are to die for.
Always very good!! Service and quality of steak are tops. Will be back again soon.
Great food. Great service, wine list was a little thin. But that have been At BLT about 10 times and have not been disappointed.
I experienced an exceptional meal at an exceptional restaurant. Next level fine dining and I would recommend to anyone who was looking for a special occasion steak. Will be back.
Kevin our server was Awesome! His attention, recommendations, and overall service made dinner absolutely fabulous!
The food and atmosphere was fantastic for my husbands 40th birthday dinner. The attention to detail is unparalleled. I would highly recommend.
Delicious food and outstanding service. Their popovers are SO good!
Good food, great service, needs a bit more lighting for us old folks.
Food was mediocre. This place used to be great...not sure what happened.
Steak not that impressive, side dishes very small, very loud but it was NYE, service good for that night.
Popovers the best part! Prices very high
My husband and son weren't feeling well on New Year's Eve, so my 2 daughters and I ended up enjoying a girls' evening while they rested at the hotel. We were visiting the area from WV and looking forward to our evening after a less than enjoyable meal at a different steakhouse the night before. I felt a little guilty taking up new year's real estate with 2/3 of our party being kids, but our server was so kind and sweet and generally seemed happy to wait on us. My steak was cooked to perfection, everything was delicious, and at one point my glass of prosecco took a little longer than he thought it should so he took it off the bill, even though I told him it absolutely wasn't necessary. At another point he was tied up with a large party and had his manager check on us. The entire experience was wonderful and we will certainly be back when we're in the area again. Fantastic experience.
Have eaten at BLT many times in the past and this visit was no different. Exceptional as always...
Great food. Great service. We enjoyed warm popovers with butter to start followed by perfectly cooked Lemon Rosemary Chicken served in a cast iron dutch oven. Order the mashed potatoes! If you are sharing side dishes for the table, the portions are smaller than a typical steak house only serving 1-2 max.
First class in every way - highest quality food with excellent service. Our group had a mix of steak, chicken and fish dishes and each exceeded expectations. Thanks BLT DC team!
We went to BLT Steak for Christmas Eve dinner. The restaurant was very busy, yet we were not rushed. The food was amazing and the service was OUTSTANDING!. Highly recommend BLT Steak for a special occasion dinner.
Great service, quality everything 5-star!!!
We ordered steak rare-medium rare and it was cooked medium well with heavy charred outside. The brussel-sprout side dish was good, the mushrooms were ok. Surprised that practically every side dish was potatoes, not helpful to people who prefer less starch. Also no side salads or soups. The waiter was too attentive to the point to being a pest, telling us more about what he likes than we cared to discuss. The wine we had was very good for only a $45 bottle, though they did have much more expensive wine for more expensive tastes. If we got out of there for $150 it would have been ok, but $350 for a burnt piece of meat and a couple so-so-sides was hard to swallow.
First time visiting BLT. Bartender was my first experience - poured a great drink and was very knowledgeable. Business dinner. The rolls/popovers are awesome. Seafood tower had a nice variety and was almost a meal. But the steaks . . . simply terrific. Good time had by all. Highly recommended.
Great food and location. Worth the price.
They have delicious steaks and seafood. Service is excellent, you are never in need of a thing. Very professional and attentive staff. Their desserts are not to be overlooked either, if you still have room!
The best steak I have had in a long time! Their service is flawless and it is a beautiful restaurant. Definitely recommend.
This place was great for a romantic dinner date. The service is unreal and the food is amazing. Will be back.
Always have a great time here. Delicious food and wonderful staff.
It was great!
Service was exceptional. We travelled to DC for a quick weekend away and this was a find. From cocktails and appetizers through to coffee and dessert, the food/drinks were wonderful. I highly recommend.
Very efficient service, such a nice experience, steaks are outstanding!!
As for premium steak houses, this one will rank last among the list. What started off fairly well seemed to go downhill once the food started coming.
I have a wife who doesn't eat a lot so it's not uncommon for us to split a salad and then she'll end up taking home half her entree. When we asked specifically about splitting the roasted beet salad we were told it was much too small to split. The beets were cubed and there were only 5 or 6, and I'm quoting that number so based on that input we ordered a second. Big mistake as the salad would have been perfect, especially since we'd then opted to split the 22oz Cowboy Ribeye. Splitting 22oz should be more than enough...but you need to begin with 22oz and the restaurant came up very short. When asking for ours to be a med-rare, what we got was a severely thinly sliced rib eye that was raw in the middle.
One of the others with us ordered the 12oz Filet cooked to a medium temperature. Medium on a thick piece of meat like that should look to be a warm pink-to-brown center. Again, not even close. The outside charred and the inside a blood red.
Cooking meat isn't particularly hard as most chefs already know. Take a raw piece of meat and press your thumb into the center and note there is no rebound. The thumbprint stays in place; but as the meat cooks that print rebounds more rapidly the longer the meat is cooked. This appears to be a lesson never learned by the chef that evening.
For what this house charges for their cuts of beef you're better off trying any of the others nearby; The Palm, Mortons, Capital Grille, or take the drive over to a Flemings. Much better choice by far.
Lest we forget the ever-famous popovers?? Course not, but not cooked quite far enough so doughy centers in 3 of the 4 served.
Great ambience for any lunch meeting.
Good filet. I wasn’t blown away by the food or the service, it was just....good. Very loud so would not recommend for an anniversary or any event where you want a real conversation. Portion size on the steaks were more than enough, mashed potatoes I thought in the small side. Nice that they provided free little nibbles before and after.
Dinner here was exceptional. From the extras they send (hello popovers!) to the knowledgeable and attentive service, to our perfectly prepared steaks. Everything was perfect. Will be back soon.
Had a great holiday lunch here. Service was prompt and attentive during our stay. Their popovers are amazing and they have some nice lighter options to choose from in addition to their steaks.
One of my favorite restaurants in the city. Luxurious service and their steaks are the best!
Energetic does not describe the noise level. I had guests from out of town for dinner and found it impossible to talk at the table with anyone on the other side of the table.
We had a very nice dinner on Wednesday night, but the noise level at our table was excruciating. I went early (6:00 PM) expecting it to be lighter, but found it even more noisy with so many people in the bar and large tables with numerous guests.
I often eat lunch at the bar at BLT Steak and will continue to do so. But, I will not be eating dinner there again -- or at least taking guests there for dinner.
They have a wide variety of options for lunch, with several non-meat options which I appreciate. Their staff is fantastic. It gets loud during lunch but that's to be expected. Go, you won't be disappointed.
We had a wonderful time! Our steaks were to die for. The restaurant was completely packed and service was nonetheless superb. Look forward to returning and having more of those delicious popovers!
As always, BLT provides a great spot for any occasion. The food is always superior, service is superb and the ambiance very welcoming. We love it!
