BLT Steak Charlotte’s private dining room mimics the aesthetics of the main dining room with rich colors and warm subtlety on a more intimate level, accommodating 24 guests for a seated meal or up to 30 people for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.View Private Dining Details
1/2 steaks was overcooked, and the server didn't check as to whether or not they were cooked to our liking. Overall, meal was uninspiring, and the selection was extremely underwhelming relative to the price. The "cheese bread things" they serve after the patte are borderline burnt and flavorless. The "poached" green beans were anything but. The highlight of the evening was the sticky toffee pudding cake with orange ice cream. That was truly delightful. BLT would work better as a dessert room with a smaller footprint. Seating was obnoxiously close to other guests (think Cheesecake Factory). For the price, you can do much better in any midsize city.
I have to be honest, my steak at Outback was better than my ribeye at BLT Steak. I've eaten here many times and I was so disappointed this time. There was nothing special about my food, especially considering the price. The popovers were a letdown, the pate was poorly presented, my sides were lukewarm.
I can't say enough about our experience at BLT Steak. My fiance and I had just gotten engaged earlier that day, and yeah, I would expect a little bit better service given that information, but what they offered was above and beyond. It felt as if we were the only people dining there. I hesitate to say this because i don't want them to be taken advantage of in the future, but at the end of a meal that probably cost $3-400 with all the free champagne they gave us, they literally only charged me for a diet pepsi. I was fully happy paying full-price considering the quality of the food and service but this was nuts. I'll never forget that, especially during such a busy weekend, we were treated so well.
Typically never return food but steak was cooked incorrectly twice. The manager apologized and didn't charge for the steak which ruined the entire dining experience. The lobster cobb salad was mediocre with very little lobster. Popovers were great - second time going and probably the last.
Ordered steak medium, arrived medium well to well. Guy at table next to us complained about his food, said he would eat it anyway. Manager told him he would take it off his bill and also if he and his date came back for breakfast, he could eat for free. Nice that he was trying to make it right, but irritating that I spent at least double what he did on food and wine and did not complain and just got a "thanks for dining with us". This guy gets a free steak and free breakfast for being difficult. Service was great. May or may not be back.
Fabulous meal! It was four of us and service was fast and even made a special request dish for one of us. Will definitely return!!
This was some of the best food we have had in a while. They first brought out a chicken spread with bread, then fresh pop overs (complimentary). The cocktail I had, the Peppered Rose, was refreshing and good—I’d say the cocktails are a bit overpriced though ($17). Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. I had the rosemary chicken which was probably the best chicken I’ve ever had—it had some type of rosemary stuffing underneath the skin and it was all tender and juicy, super flavorful. My fiancé had the bone-in ribeye (I had to get a bite and it was also amazing.) We had some of the best bacon brussel sprouts I’ve ever had too, and I get these a lot. They were cooked perfectly and the sauce was great. We also had jalapeño mashed potatoes which were good but nothing amazing. Overall, great experience! Be sure to go through the Ritz valet and get your ticket validated for free at the restaurant!
We decided to have dinner here before the opera.
Our server was amazing and the food was beyond delicious. The steaks were perfect and the sides were awesome
Can’t wait to go back
I was in Charlotte on a business trip, came by myself and had a delicious dinner and superb service
Good food. Decent wine list. Small bar with unhappy bartenders. No ambience, tables too close together, loud.
Fantastic experience. Told them I was getting engaged that evening after dinner and they made our meal very special. Complimentary desserts and waved the corking fee for a bottle of wine I ordered from Napa. We will be back often!
Staff was not friendly at all. The food is extremely salty and we mentioned it to the staff they refused to do anything about it. Ordered toast it was not brought any. Not a good experience. Will not be returning.
BLT clearly overbooked on an evening of a popular concert. We made reservations 2.5 months in advance, and failed to be seated until 40 mins after our reservation. Despite that, we still had enough time (70 mins) to eat a full meal. We ordered our entire service, yet the restaurant failed to bring our entrees out. We had to walk out after being seated for 70 mins and we still missed the beginning of the concert. The restaurant manager has insisted that he will make right by us, and I will update this review that occurs.
We arrived at 5:30 and ordered our main course at 6:15. The food did not arrive until 7:43. We missed a significant part of out concert. The entire experience was ruined We frequently go to events downtown but had never eaten here before and will never again
I was in town for a business trip and ended up walking in to a treat at BLT! I had the rack of lamb with a side of asparagus and the cheesecake paired with the orange ice-cream for dessert. Highly recommend this spot for a business meal or a date night.
the gentleman that was taking care of our table was very attentive . the hostess that took us to our table didnt seem to be in the mood or welcoming. Food was good. fries were hard
Always consistent! Love BLT and their staff. It was my daugther's first time and she loved it too.
We always have amazing service at BLT! The food is fabulous and the staff actually remembers us...even if it's been a year.
Our second time at this location. We generally dine downtown either before the symphony or Broadway Lights events. This location is perfect due to parking, etc. Although a bit pricey, the food is excellent and the wait staff is very attentive. A lot less noisy than other choices, such as Aria, Capital Grille or Flemings.
Service was solid, except when the steak for my wife was poorly cooked, service did not do anything about it.
Our waitress was great and the food was wonderful. Thank you for a great time! Restaurant week menu was great.
Service was amazing. One of the few restaurants left were you do t have to pour your own wine.
Good food. Nice ambiance. Good service until the end. After dessert, the waiter brought 4 little mocha cookies. We ate 2 and asked him to wrap the the other 2. When the check came, the waiter charged $10 for the to-go box!!!
Anniversary dinner but we got sat next to the kitchen which wasn’t the best. Everything was really good but the chicken was just ok. Carmel tart was super sweet but delicious.
For the price paid, wagyu steak wasn't anything spectacular. The wagyu at the Greenbriar was much better. A la carte sides were fine, not bad, but not outstanding either.
Started out with the 1/2 dozen oysters and couldn't get over the small size of them. I wish I had ordered a salad instead like my partner as the Caesar was large and very good.
Dessert was the best part of the meal. I had a toffee bread pudding with orange flavored ice cream that was excellent.
Waitress couldn’t stop at our table long enough to ask for anything. Brought us a dirty cup for my daughters tea. Waitress acted all snooty patatooty!
I went here with a girlfriend during restaurant week for my birthday. I was underwhelmed with their selection of choices for restaurant week. I went with the sirloin and it was chewy and super salty. They paired it with potato fingerlings and what tasted like A1 sauce to dip them in. The caramel tart for dessert was hard and possibly overcooked. Overall not impressed and will not return for restaurant week.
Incredible Popovers! The desserts were just fair, but steak was perfect. Steak sauce fantastic.
Had been before and food was good so decided to go again with friends for restaurant week. Unfortunately they appear to have really cut corners on the food to meet the lower promotional pricing as steaks were tough and all the accompaniments were marginal at best. Not a great experience for my friends first visit when salad was the best part of dinner.
Always great food at BLT; this breakfast was really good. Service was lacking...water glasses and coffee weren’t filled. I expect great service at BLT and the Ritz they fell short today
Food and Service was great overall!
We enjoyed our friends night out dining at BLT
Great place to celebrate my Dad’s birthday. We hung out afterwards in the lounge and listened to jazz while sipping after dinner drinks. It was a wonderful way to finish the evening!
Great service, food was delicious. Fun atmosphere. Popovers are amazing!
Everything was great. The food was delicious. Server was top notch. Make sure you try the Brussel sprouts.
We had a great date night for Queens Feast. The popovers were fantastic and lives they were services with the recipe. Hope I can replicate them. Drink prices were outrageous but can’t complain with the Queens Feast prices for dinner. The peanut butter chocolate desert was to die for.
We could only secure a 5.30pm table, but that did not deter. This is a great restaurant and especially great value for Restaurant Week. The place filled really quickly with couples and larger groups. The service is fantastic, and right at the top in Charlotte. Very professional, personable, and of course the food is delicious.
Very much enjoyed the Queen’s Feast selections. A wonderful meal with friends before heading to the Hornets game. Will be back.
I’ve been taking my daughter out for her birthday during restaurant week in Charlotte for the past eight years. BLT Steakhouse is definitely a disappointment. I called in advance and told the hostess we were gluten-free, and it was her birthday. A waiter, although nice, made it seem like we were more of a bother than anything else. As he was describing the Restaurant Week menu, he did know that it was her birthday, but he said both desserts available are not gluten-free and they couldn’t make any substitutions. He also said he could not make substitutions for the potatoes. I just wanted vegetables. I finally persuaded him to bring out ice cream so she could have dessert to celebrate her birthday. We ordered the bacon chimichurri appetizer and when it arrived I was amazed at the three 1” slices of bacon on the plate. Really? Then of course the popover came out (we’re gluten-free and couldn’t have it) and we had to stare at it for 10 minutes before it was removed. The steak that came out was medium (not medium-rare that we ordered) and wasn’t really exceptional as I’ve heard the steaks at BLT are. At the end, he brought out the two small scoops of ice cream for my daughter and of course nothing for me. Most restaurants would’ve offered a discount of some kind since I couldn’t have the dessert, they knew in advance I was gluten-free and made no substitution. Needless to say, I would not recommend BLT Steakhouse, especially during Restaurant Week. Ruth’s Chris, Chima’s and even The Melting Pot treat you as a valued customer, which I expected at a restaurant in the lobby of the Ritz-Carlton.
Came here for restaurant week. Service was amazing as usual. The sirloin was only okay unfortunately. But it was cooked as ordered and the potatoes and green beans were great.
