A really great steak!
Fantastic dinner consisting of oysters, steak, shrimp, jalapeño mashed potatoes, and sprouts. Finished with the peanut butter chocolate mousse which was one of the most fantastic things I’ve ever eaten. I highly recommend it.
Awesome food and even better service! Doug and Donna made sure everything was perfect and our drinks were always full. Will be returning on Saturday!
We went for Sunday brunch. Arrive around 1245. Parking was an issue because there is no parking lot that they validate have to be 20 bucks in parking but once we got into the restaurant were seated after a brief wait. Drinks took a while to come out. Waiter was hospitable and food was delicious good small portions and great value.
Went this past weekend to celebrate husband’s birthday. We decided to try this place out as our usual spot Capital Grill was all booked up for reservations. The food was good but for the price I would have expected more. Our biggest complaint was the tables were placed very close together as if they were trying to fit as much tables as possible into a small space. So you could technically almost touch the table next to you and could hear everyone’s entire conversation which is one of the reasons we wouldn’t go back there for a sit down dinner.
Service was terrible. It took almost 2 hours to eat. Sides were lukewarm and the steak was over cooked.
Steak was marginal. Cooked not how ordered. Sides we’re very small for $ (compared to Ruth Chris). Overall food did not match price.
Love this place been here a handful of times. Something happened though. One of the guests dining was choking on food and none of the servers or managers on the floor even moved to help. If it wasent for the guys friend he would have died . I’m still gonna eat here but I would like to see someone act on it at the restaurant. Could happen to anyone at anytime. The managers probably need to go through the course.
For the price and the flavor — do yourself a favor and walk a little further down and go to Roosters. There they really know how to treat their diners — and their meats and sides are incredible. At this place everything was over seasoned — think gilding the lily. And the service was fine — but did not make it feel like a fine dining experience. Literally our server told us — “I will not tell you anything about the menu, because it will only make it harder to make a decision.” Is it not the server’s job to find out what her diners want and then to steer them in the right direction. We done at a fine restaurant at least once a week when we are in Charlotte. We will not be returning here.
We have eaten at BLT Steak several times for both intimate anniversary dinners and for larger family events. We always had an enjoyable time with good service and great food. This last visit on 27-October 2018 was very disappointing. The restaurant was chaotic, very loud, the service was rushed and a little rude at times and the food was disappointing. The steaks my wife and I ordered were ok but no where near the quality and taste we have experienced in the past at this restaurant. Also the baked potatoe was bland and lacked the flavors we are used to.
Probably the most disappointing part of the experience was the service. Our main waitress was good. We had her for another family event celebration in the recent past. She was engaging and tried to tend to our needs. But she was very rushed. The other people that brought food to the table were downright rude. The plates for us to use for the popovers were litterally dropped in front of us and we were told in a rushed and rude tone “here you go!”. The whole experience was frustrating and very disappointing. This was a dinner for my wife and me to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary. It was a disappointment. Also, I made a note on my reservation that it was our anniversary. No mention of it was made by anyone and no recognition of what we were there to celebrate. In the past we at least received a flute of champagne!
We ended up spending around $300 for this dinner. I expected more from BLT Steak and ended up leaving disappointed.
Hamilton (The Broadway Show) brought us into the city for an over night of fun. We stayed at the Ritz and decide on BLT Steak downstairs.
Excellent food and service! My husband and I went before a theater performance and for our anniversary. They were conscientious of the time for us and all the food was amazing!
As always, the food was excellent (especially the pop overs) but for some reason they stuck all of the early reservations in a back corner, right on top of each other. The rest of the restaurant was empty. The waiter had very little room between tables and we ended up having his rear end in our faces on several occasions. I don't understand why they sat everyone so close. We were one of the first tables sat. If we had arrived later I would have requested a different section.
Everything was superb! The wait staff was excellent and the food was delicious. Will definitely be returning!
The filet was out of this world, and the service was outstanding!
Our table wasn't ready at our reserved time which was fine so 5 of us found our way to the cozy and welcoming bar "The K Lounge" which was wonderful! Great drinks, extensive wine selection and attentive service. Perfect low lighting and comfortable sofas with a fire wall in the distance made for a very relaxing start to the evening with friends. After a text message that our table was ready, we settled our bar bill and returned to "BLT Steak" and our table wasn't actually ready yet. After a brief wait we were seated by the very friendly staff. With a group of well traveled friends celebrating one's birthday, we had hoped for a little more in the way of ambiance and menu selection. The lighting was too bright and seeing guests in jeans and T-Shirts when business casual was the standard was disappointing. A screaming child at a nearby table added to the disappointment. People really should hire a sitter unless children have been well trained to behave properly in public, after all, this is the Ritz-Carlton! The puffy cheddar rolls were amazing but the rest of the meal was just OK. It was not quite what we were all expecting after having enjoyed many great meals at The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island's "Salt" but hope that constructive input might add for a better visit the next time. All in all it was good.
Disappointed in service for breakfast
Very unorganized and not professional
Will not be back for breakfast
We had a very memorable evening
We will be back for next occasion
Food was very good. Service was over zealous.... several times we were not completely done and a server would swoop in and take remaining food. They never asked if done.... almost as they were too busy with other tables and wanted to make sure they were doing something with our table. Service seemed insincere not as though they wanted to serve us.
Service was fair to poor. Not a fan of the eggie oversized bread muffin as it doesn’t have any flavor and the texture is kinda wet. The steak was perfect. Sides were good.
They didn’t care a lick that we were celebrating a very special occasion. Nothing. Not even bit of whipped cream on a plate.
We enjoy BLT and dine here often in Charlotte. I had the Tuna Tartare and 8 oz fillet with the local mushrooms on top and the Hen of the Woods mushrooms sides. Yep, I love mushrooms. My wife had the Crab Cake appetizer and Dover Sole entree. Everything was excellent as usual. The only thing we noticed this time was that the little cast iron crocks they serve the sides in were not hot this time, so the mushrooms cooled very quickly, which was disappointing. Donna took care of us very well again with impeccable service.
No one attended to us for about 20 minutes and we were working and on lunch. We specifically said gluten free and they brought us lunch with gluten. We had to wait for new food and eat really fast. No compensation off bill and to top it off I never got my credit card back and was in such a frenzy to get back to work I didn't realize. It was made via open table so they could have called me and didn't ! The food itself was good but not worth the aggravation!
Amazing food... way too loud ... but, it was a concert night
Great meal & just a short walk away from the Spectrum Center.
I ordered a 54$ steak and it was severed cold. A baked potato that in no way in the description said it was stuffed with sour cream. Had to reorder took 20 more minuets. Will not be returning!!!!!
Was offered only a apology. Not god business.
Loved the meal, our server Mike was amazing and he got us a complimentary dessert that was delicious for the birthday of my boyfriend.
We had a delicious dinner and the staff celebrated my mother's birthday.
Went after Panthers game on Sunday evening. Superb attentive service from our server and Maitre’d. Cocktail nicely made, nice but not exceptional shrimp cocktail split between us two. My Bone-in Ribeye ordered Medium Rare went back as it was presented Medium. Swiftly replaced but this time arrived rare which was fine as the meat was wonderful and I enjoyed it. Creamed spinach was quite nice - I got two portions as server wanted me to have fresh and hot veg with second steak. Wine drinkers note: Sunday’s feature half-price wine from the full list so we splurged and you can too. My companion had the Hanger Steak and loved it. I’ll go back.
The food was absolutely delicious and very expensive. The service was nice but too slow for us and the ambience was not relaxing. It was too bright inside... really best for business dinners I would say.
Awesome, the porterhouse was T H E B E S T ! ! !
One of best steak places in charlotte.
Food was excellent.
Great food, good service, only complaint would be they placed us in between 2 occupied tables with 80 % of the restaurant open. Made conversation, much less intimate conversation difficult.
Awesome! Great service and food
Play at Belk
One of my favorite restaurants in Charlotte. Great for after jazz or theater, always outssetvice.
We stopped in early for dinner before a Broadway Lights performance. Excellent service and great food. It is a great location for pre-symphony and pre-Broadway Lights performances. Not cheap, but food is always exceptional.
First time here before a show at the Belk. Donna was an amazing server. Looking forward to coming back and trying other items on your menu!
Need a better by the glass wine list.
Steak was garlicky and salty
Side not worth the money
