BLT Steak Charlotte Ratings and Reviews
It was great the restaurant was a little busy when we got there but we didn’t have to wait they had or table ready for us when we got there, the food was great although the steak I had ordered was a little on the over cooked side it tasted great so I’m not complaining, the waiter was amazing and attentive was also very friendly. I would definitely come back to BLT Steak for another great experience.
Disappointed that BLT seems to be on the decline the last two times there. The service this time, unlike the last time we were there was not very good. It took over an hour for our lunch to come out and the dining room was a quarter full. I guess part of the issue might that, like a lot of hotels, they share their kitchen with room service. That said, I would expect good service on the floor from BLT, and that wasn't there either. I could probably let some of this go if the food quality were better. I ordered Eggs Benedict and the eggs were cook hard. The popovers are one of the reasons people go to BLT and ours did not come out warm. Definitely holding this place to a high standard, but BLT should be judged by that. For less money and in a different environment, I would not hold it to as high a standard.
Food was great, our servers were great (shout-out to the two Jonathans), and we were given complementary champagne for our anniversary ... so good intent, but for Ritz prices I was expecting an occasion-worthy experience... table cloths and less of a casual, bring the family atmosphere. I felt out of place in a sport coat and without 2.3 children. I used to frequent both Ritz in Atlanta; This Ritz sinning is much less formal. I did not do my due diligence for an occasion, but know for next time to wear blue jeans and come with a casual attitude.
The food was quite delectable. I enjoyed the lively atmosphere and waitress Leigh Ann was very polite. She wasn't overbearing and did well managing her customers. I ordered the bone in ribeye steak and my significant other ordered the short ribs. Both selections were very tender and flavorful and will definitely be patronizing BLT Steak again soon.
Disappointing, not at the level of Capital Grill or Mortons. Ordered Filet Mignon, which shouldn't have any fat pieces on it, but it did. Also ordered a medium well filet that was served rare. The Asparagus was overdone. I don't know if they were rushing, even though there were empty tables in the restaurant on a Saturday night, but this is not what you would expect from a fine steak restaurant. They are not paying attention to details like they do at Capital Grill and Mortons.
I recently moved to Charlotte from Chicago. BLT was suggested to me as a great place to have a high-quality steak and good wine. The wine list was lengthy and well put together. The steaks were Moderately priced. I requested that my steak be cooked rare. This server insisted that it should be cooked medium in order for the true flavors to come out. I decided to listen to what he said and completely regretted his suggestion. The sides were subpar and not what you would expect for the caliber of a restaurant like BLT. I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.
We had travelled all day and had made a reservation at BLT as it was convenient located in the Ritz Carlton Hotel. But already at the bar where we had a drink before dinner, we noticed how very cold it was in this place. We asked if they could turn down the AC as it was a very cold day outside anyway. Not much happened. It was even worse at our table where we were seated for dinner. We spoke with the manager and he kindly explained that maintenance has been notified. But this was a Sunday evening. While the salad and Dover sole were delicious, we couldn’t enjoy it because we were freezing. Other people also sat there in Winter coats❄️.
Hadn’t we been so tired, we would have gone elsewhere.
As a former chef/currently hospitality consultant, I am not unreasonable nor am I a food snob, but I do expect an operation to fulfill the mission it presents to the market.
BLT Steak accomplishes this task handsomely, gracefully and with exceptional attention to detail. We will visit often.
The room decor is understated and provides a sense of serenity and relaxation. You’ll feel just as welcome for a burger at the bar as you will for a two hour multi-course dinner.
We do not eat steak as often as we did in the past, but I do expect steak in a prime steakhouse to live up to the hype and the price. I enjoyed one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten in Charlotte.
With heartfelt appreciation for the staff, hope to enjoy many memorable meals with friends and family at BLT Steak.
The food and service were great. The only negative I can say about my experience was that I called ahead of time to make sure they had a specific type of liquor which they did have when we arrived, however they only had enough for about 3 glasses with no backups. Wasn't the end of the world by any means, and the food and service more than made up for it, but that's the only thing from me giving it a perfect rating.
This is the 4th time I ate at BLT and the 3rd time I had the Dover Sole...one of the most expensive items on the menu. The first two times the Dover Sole was excellent but this time the meal had a distinct fishy smell and taste. I told the waiter half way through my meal but he offered nothing but a sorry. I will not return.
I am a fan of fine dining and was really excited to try a new place, however I was disappointed with the food a little, espcially for the price. I had ordered a steak and it was over cooked and not as tender as other steak restaurants like Flemings or Ruth Chris although it was the same pricing. The sides were just ok. If I had time, we were trying to make a show, I would have def sent my steak back. I am sure management woudl have fixed it if I would have given them the opportunity.
Not overly impressed with BLT in Charlotte. Sides apps and sauces were a hit but the steak was ordinary. Cooked to proper temp but didn't reach the level of some of the other quality steakhouses in the area. Server was attentive and timing was fine but a bit too "quirky" is the only way to describe it. I like the "gang service" concept (all food down at once, all plates removed at once) but it shouldn't extra time to gather 3 servers to clear plates for two guests. Overall good meal but for the premium price, you should expect better.
It was not busy at 8pm. Our waiter brought out the wrong salad we ordered. Forgot a side dish as well.
Menu is limited. Flavor of steak was good but not the best I have had. It had a good char on it. The lamb was tastey but very small, again I have had better in regards to flavor . I was underwhelmed with the food. Even the pop overs were just ok.
The ambiance was low key not too dark but not a lot of privacy either. Dinning room was smaller than anticipated.
Over all I enjoyed my husbands company in a relaxed environment for date night but we both agree the other steak houses in the area offer a larger menu with better quality.
