BLT Prime - Trump Doral
No - the filet was barely warm (butter served on top wouldn't even melt) and tasted more like skirt steak. Truffle mashed potatoes and mac and cheese was good. Service was extremely slow.
Amazing experience. Cant wait to go again. The customer service and experience was exquisite.
I dine here so often, it's hard to write anything new. This is the best steakhouse in the Miami area.
Best experience ever. The server was incredible and we received a free dessert with beautiful decoration for our anniversary. We can repeat this experience ever and ever. Thanks BLT.
Love BLT Prime in Washington, DC. Doral was good but not great.
New Years Lunch, we had a nice time
Limited menu for New Years
Was not listed on website.
Ended up leaving and eating dinner elsewhere.
Our server Natalie was fantastic. We were thrilled
Food was amazing, service excellent
BLT never disappoints. Thank you Nacho and Rafa for excellent service !
Our meal was exquisite and the service exceptional. The manager came over to our table to make sure that we were pleased. The hotel is beautiful, as well as the grounds. We will be back many more times!
We had dinner the other night at BLT at Trump Doral - it was as disappointing! I've eaten at BLT in other places and always had a great experience (the BLT in White Plains NY is terrific and consistent). Our experience at BLT Doral was not! The food was adequate at best - the shrimp cocktail was 4 mushy shrimp (as if they had thawed some store bought shrimp and charged us $26 for them). The Steak (a NY Strip) was tasty but chewy, with grizzle, not marbling. For the outrageous price of $223 for 2 person (I'll admit a glass of nice wine was $26 - which is close to the actual retail cost of a bottle of the same Sonoma Cutrer Pinot Noir), I expected a much better meal.
I had to hold my nose to go to Trump Doral but have always enjoyed BLT enough to want to go there. Clearly it feel as short as the name sake of the restuarant's location. If it wasn't for the popovers, I would have called the meal "poor!" Very disappointed!
Popovers and soup were not as warm/hot as I would have liked.
Our second visit and the food and service was again exceptional. Looking forward to returning !
Beautiful views of the golf course. Food was very good. This was our 4th time eating here and still the service isn’t up to par with the price and brand of the restaurant. Wait staff is not properly trained for the clientele. Lunch took 40 minutes to get our food from the kitchen (no apology) and they were not busy. Ordered a bottle of wine and I had to keep calling them over to refill our glasses. Same thing at dinner and after dinner in the bar area. All three times we were given a bottle and the first pour and no one came back to refill our glasses until we waved someone down. Blt is not indicative of the quality of the Trump brand and should be replaced with a better restaurant.
If it wasn't a Trump organization everything would have been rated 5 stars.
I rated some 4 stars because my expectations were elevated since it was a Trump property.
Beautiful setting. Top notch service and attention to detail. Miami Spice menu a great option and excellent value.
First the positives: Ambiance, service and location are great. Views of the Blue Monster golf course add to the mood as that would be our first course to play the next day. My wife ordered the filet mignon and she said it was perfect. Tender, flavorful and cooked to just the right temperature.
So why the low rating: I ordered the rib eye which was cooked to the right temperature. Unfortunately, it was a tough steak, most unusual for a rib eye. Second, be prepared to spend big, dinner for two with a modest priced bottle of wine was over $400. Third, Happy Hour had such a limited number of drinks, as to make it not worthy of calling it a Happy Hour. Finally, I hate when the tip is added to the bill (18.5%) with only an option to increase the tip! BTW, every food place, includes a tip. Imagine an 18.5% tip on a can of coke!
Great food, awesome lychee martini and superb service! Love the popovers!
Meal was outstanding only concern was that the Miami Spice menu was not provided.
We had an amazing time with great friends. Would go back often.
This restaurant is absolutely perfect!
Porter house steak was perfection
They had run out of the steak we ordered. Also, we were there for two hours extended wait time.
The service was good but the food was awful. First the steak that we wanted had run out on a Saturday night!! Both of the steaks we ate were cold and didn’t have much of a taste and the mash potatoes didn’t have any texture it was very liquify. The restaurant is rundown and not a good place for a special occasion. People were loud and after asking to be seated at a good location because of the occasion we were in a very small table in the middle of loud people.
Great service, food was amazing. Love this place.
The service and atmosphere at BLT were amazing. We felt pampered and well taken care of. The food however made me think of the old nursery rhyme about the little girl with the little curl in the middle of her forehead. When the food was good, it was exceptionally good and when it was bad, it was awful! We ordered the bacon appetizer as well as the beet salad. Both were outstanding, especially the bacon which was the best we had ever eaten. We also loved the popovers.
For our entree we ordered the porterhouse for two. It was beautifully cooked, although under seasoned. We ordered mashed potatoes as our side, which more closely resembled potato soup. They were also bland. We sent them back and ordered the potatoes au gratin instead. I didn't think it was possible, but they were even soupier than the mashed potatoes and were similarly devoid of seasoning. It was strange to think they could make such amazing, complex food and get something as basic as potatoes wrong..more than once!
Reluctant to try more sides, we were offered complimentary dessert instead. My boyfriend had the apple crisp and ice cream and I ordered the lemon cheesecake with huckleberry sorbet. The apple crisp was tasty, but the amount of crisp in comparison to ice cream was disproportionate, leaving lots of crisp left without ice cream. The lemon cheesecake was exquisite and had a lovely brûlée on the top which gave it a delightful crunch in contrast to the creaminess. The glop that was supposed to be sorbet was one of the worst textural and flavor experiences I have ever encountered. The consistency was that of grainy, masticated, juiceless berries that had been frozen together without sugar for some unknown reason. I took one bite and shoved the rest of it to the side to be avoided at all costs. While we enjoyed our time at BLT, we were very disappointed that a restaurant of this caliber would make such huge food mistakes, especially given the prices!
Since we entered the restaurant, we were greeted, seated and attended extremely well, at such point even the waiter started entertaining my 6 month baby. The food and drinks were incredible, of course the price was up there but it was worth it. I recommend this place eyes shut.
Una cena muy agradable. Excelente atención. Y con una vista encantadora. La comida de primera!!!
Diferente a otros lugares.
My husband and I did a staycation at the Trump National Hotel in Doral which is amazing! BLT Prime is inside of the hotel. We love fine dining so it was natural that we would go here during our stay. I wanted to love this place like I loved the hotel. I read the reviews and they were great. I was SO disappointed!!! We started the meal with a crab cake which was mushy and lacking any real flavor. My husband ordered the Kansas Ribeye which he enjoyed. I ordered the Dover Sole and it was absolutely horrible. It comes with what tastes like salty canned gravy. The fish was tough and hard. I’ve never in my life sent food back; I sent this back...I waited to get my new order of short ribs which were OK at best. I was still pretty hungry so I thought we would order dessert because how do you mess that up? Well, you can! They brought me the wrong dessert and the one they did bring was horrible!!!!
Desserts could have been better. Otherwise, everything else was excellent.
Location ambience and service was great. The bacon appetizer was the highlight of the dinner. The “Wagyu” Ribeye taste texture and terminus were all off. It was a very disappointing Father’s Day Dinner.
Very nice view and perfect environment for conversations.
The meal was very sized and interesting.
But two at the table had steak and they were over cooked.
Food and service were both very good
Excellent! What more can I say.
Overpriced restaurant. Service quite casual . Pricing should be according of the quality they serve . Much better steakhouses to choose if you are paying a high check
What amazing place, even if your not into golf, you would be hard pushed not to enjoy this surrounding and the club house,
Lovely food great service, better than some 5 star Hotels I have been to.
Ok. We are all foodies in my house. We eat out often and appreciate a really good meal. We aren’t afraid to pay for it either - but this steak house had a lack of luster in food mostly but also a bit in service. The steaks were ok- the lobster wasn’t and the dessert really wasn’t. The wine was the best part but they had little to do with that. It’s a shame because the steaks were good but just not good enough especially at their prices. We eat at a lot of steakhouses and even the trump in DC - which is delightful!! Dc restaurant is much more thorough in service and food is elevated. As for the breakfast here. It’s good and worth the price - but still lacking ok the service department. Also besides service techniques - smiles and pleasant attitudes would be nice.
Currently the restaurant is relocated to the lobby bar area. Red beet salad was good. Filet lt was perfectly prepared. Jalapeño mashed potatoes was a perfect compliment to the steak as well as the mushrooms. Steak comes with a complimentary es wine sauce which is very good but there is no reason to cover the natural taste of the filet.
