The food was excellent and the staff was super nice. We tried many menu items -- there is a good variety and selection. My cousin who is not a vegan loved the food.
received email that I was not there, I have my receipt from American express when I paid
Exquisite food, very tasty and the textures were sublime.
On the other hand, the service was not so smiley as you can expect, almost ragging us for arriving 20 minutes before our reservation.
Great but one-hit-wonder.
Excellent food & service third time here and only has gotten better!!!
We wanted to visit a vegetarian restaurant, this was our first and were very impressed. Started with the artichokes and celery root soup, both very tasty, the entrees, pasta with mushroom and truffle oil was also very good. Service was impeccable. Would recommend and look forward to returning.
Our second visit to this wonderful vegetarian/vegan (we are neither) restaurant with its cute, country house decor. We've brought a friend along who is gluten-free and has never visited the restaurant. The service again was pitch-perfect and there were plenty of delicious choices on the menu. We ordered the Black-Eyed Pea Cakes (not GF), and we ordered some French Fries (OK for my friend, but not OK for all GF folks!). Both were delicious and well-prepared. My husband had the Sietan Cordon Bleu, I ordered the 'Salmon' Tofu, and my friend ordered the Spaghetti Squash Cake and Mushroom Risotto. All beautifully plated and super yummy. We were rather quiet during our entrees as we were enjoying them so much and we cleaned our plates. :-) We all succumbed to the lure of dessert; my husband had the Cashewtopia Trio (can be made GF), my friend had just one scoop of ice cream, and I could not resist the Chocolate Garnache (not GF). It was so silky and rich. We all had wine that matched well with the food. It was very enjoyable, and we look forward to returning again and we plan to sample the entire menu bit by bit!
Very tasty creative Vegan fare in a cozy atmosphere with pleasant service.
The food was excellent and very creative; a beautiful combination of colors, flavors, and texture. That's exactly what I expect of a dining experience. The staff were friendly and efficient.
They were awful. I ordered the spaghetti squash entree, which I ordered because I just love spaghetti squash. The menu's description said it came with a mushroom risotto, ok fine, but it never said anything about truffles which I can't eat. When I said to the waitress that I couldn't eat this and am sorry, but there was no mention of truffles on the menu. When I asked if I could just get the squash and spinach she said that the kitchen would accommodate, and that would be why? Not going back anytime soon.
Amazing cuisine and excellent customer service! Daniel our server was awesome.
The food was amazing, easily some of the best vegan food out there. I would recommend to anyone.
What a great find: A cozy restaurant with a reasonable noise level and excellent, filling vegan fare. Plus, the service was great. Thank you!
Good vegan food.
We were underwhelmed by the food and presentation.
When first seated the waiter asked my daughter in my absence if we wanted water and my daughter said yes, noting that both herself and I would like water to which the waiter responded that he could give her water but he would prefer to wait until I returned to the table to fill my water glass. The restaurant was dim and dark even though it was noon. We both ordered the country breakfast which consisted of tofu scramble and sausage. The faux sausage was over cooked and dry and the tofu scramble had one maybe two flavors which were salt and onion. We both felt queasy about an hour later and very dehydrated from all the salt that was used in the meal. This was very disappointing since there are not that many places that serve vegan breakfast and brunch.
Excellent food and service!!!
Unanimous approval by 1 vegan 3 vegetarians 2 omnivores. Why wait for dessert, get the tiramisu as an appetizer. And don’t share.
The food and service were great. The tables are a little tight, so if you’re a bigger person, good luck. Also, the noise level was borderline intolerable.
Amazing food, if you are a meat eater, go and see what vegan food can really taste like
One of my favorite vegan restaurants in Manhattan. The cashew cream ravioli is phenomenal!! There are so many entrees that are amazing! And the chocolate ganache is a perfect way to end a meal here! Whenever I am in town, I B-line it to here!!
Blossom on Ninth was really good! With limited Vegan places around the city this place really serves delicious and outstanding quality of food. It was also nice and sweet of them to give us a complimentary dessert to celebrate my BF's birthday. I would definitely go back here and highly recommending this place to everyone.
The food is so creative and delicious!! The wait staff are very knowledgeable about the food and very friendly. They had nice wine choices.
Not a good place for late lunch, since staff seems to be burnt out by then and ready to wrap up to close; not attentive!
My first time, and I took a friend who is Vegan/Vegetarian. Food was excellent. Tasty and satisfying without any feeling of being "stuffed." We both loved it. My friend and I would come again, and I told another who plans to give it a try.
Normally I really enjoy the food. Today it was a little too oily especially the risotto special
We were a family of 5 visiting from Ottawa, Canada. I had made a reservation for my birthday dinner to coordinate with another event. When part of our evening schedule shifted due to thunder storms, the staff was understanding and accommodating to provide our family a table at a new time on a very busy evening. I am very grateful for that. The setting was cozy and the food creative and delicious. Our group especially enjoyed the Tasting Plate of appetizers. It is always a treat to discover a new vegetarian restaurant with a tasty menu. Thank you!
Love the food and that gluten, soy, nut allergies can be accommodated. The waiter never brought our side, but he didn’t put it on the bill and we were all full after our meal.
One of the best meals we’ve ever had!! I had the rigatoni and my fiancée had the seitan cordon bleu. We were blown away at the high quality of the food!
Waitress was warm and welcoming. She answered all our questions regarding the food preparation. The wait was just right for the food, not too long and not too rushed. The presentation of everything was lovely and the dishes were all excellent. Will definitely be returning soon.
The first time there for me and my girl. The food was good but the menu was limited. I had the seitan piccata, with sauted kale a large portion but minimal flavoring. My lady had a pea cake with risotto and and greens. The best part of the meal was crispy artichokes with some dipping sauce. The service was excellent. For what we ate the food was a little pricey, but that's Manhattan.
The food was delicious! I had three non vegans with me and everyone loved their meals! The waitress heard us talking about my daughters birthday and added a candle to her dessert choice without my asking- it was wonderful! It was the perfect choice our special dinner and I will definitely go back again!
Loved the food!
I was in town in business and ate there 3 nights in a row. 💜
I heard such great things about Blossom however it did not prove this tonight. For starters we did not have great service. Our server could not crack a smile and was the furthest from attentive.
Dinner was rushed and unfortunately the meals were not made to order and waiting around for the next costumer. Heavily plated in sauces masking what I thought would have been otherwise great. A few good flavors such as the scallop mushrooms and crispy artichoke hearts.
We overall only can give 3 stars and most likely will not be returning.
We are regulars at Blossom. Enough said! Always a treat and always superb!
It was a pleasant experience. This is the 3rd time we have gone and I will absolutely go back in the future. Thank you for the great experience and great food.
had an awful experience with smug waiter, and even more smug manager. It was like a spoof on 'holier-than-thou' vegan condescension.
My friend and I had a great catch up dinner at Blossom on 9th. Great atmosphere once you go through the curtain. They had an upstairs area that didn’t look as nice, but I think they might use for private events. The ground level was super charming and comfortable. We did the spaghetti squash with mushroom risotto (amazing) and the lasagna (also good!). Then we had three scoops of cashew ice cream - pistachio, peppermint (closer to butter mint, very good!) and chocolate hazelnut (yes). Service was great. We shall return!
Best vegan food I have ever tasted!!!!
My first time having vegan food. Was there with a vegan friend and I am a life long carnivore and I have to say it was unbelievably tasty. Blew my mind really.
