QUIET and QUAINT ROOF TOP ON SATURDAY FOR CHITCHATTING BY FIREPLACE.
Terrible coffees, nice servers, decent food.
Was in town for the day. Came across it on OpenTable. Tried it and definitely would go back again when I go back up that way!
The ad is misleading, this is nothing more than a decent motel café. The service was very slow despite very few patrons for Sunday lunch. Appetizers were brought to the table immediately followed by our main dishes ... all after waiting about 25 minutes after ordering.
Restaurant and service were great. Risotto and chicken sandwich were mediocre.
Read other reviews about poor service and mixed feelings on food. Decided to try my luck for breakfast. Unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. First off, I will say our server did a great job and was attentive to our needs. That is where the experience declined. Our party ordered several orders of French toast with fruit topping. The fruit topping was laughable. Basically one strawberry and a couple blueberries. French toast tasted alright but was pretty pricey considering it was super basic and something even the most amateur home cook could’ve thrown together with a couple slices of sandwich bread. My wife ordered the lobster eggs Benedict. It was awful. The lobster came
In small pieces. They were drenched in oil and were SO TOUGH - like rubber. A few of the pieces had shell parts still attached. The English muffin was soaked with whatever grease they cooked the lobster in, and the poached eggs were the only edible thing on the plate, aside from some bland potatoes. My son got the waffles which he ate but also said they weren’t very good. Our party also ordered a side of sausage which tasted ok but shouldn’t have been served for breakfast as it was more suited to a pasta. The restraint did comp the lobster Benedict, but I was still pretty disappointed in the whole experience. Will not be returning.
Service and food excellent. They do not validate customers. Poor.
Salad was good
The food was overall ok, but service was lacking. They were very nice but extremely slow!
I got charged $14 for 2 eggs, bacon and hash browns. It was meh. The service was ridiculously slow.
I will add that my wife had the crab cake eggs benedict which was very good. But for how slow the service was (easily 15 minutes before anyone came to our table - and it wasn't busy), I'd find better places for breakfast.
This was an unexpected surprise in that our server was really over the top in all categories, and the food was great, and we will probably start having breakfasts and lunches there as well.
It was a great experience
Food and service were very good; however the decor and ambiance were poor, resembling Denny's. Tablecloths and decent tables and chairs would make a huge difference, and make the high prices more tolerable.
I totally enjoyed the food and experience. Will definitely come back for dinner. The live entertainment was exceptional!
Took forever for someone to seat us even though we had reservations. Food was excellent.
Charming staff and son very comforting! This was a great stop for a lovely brunch on our journey. They went out of their way to make us Hollandaise sauced even after brunch was over, we arrived late and they were happy to seta us and went above and beyond. The crab cake was phenomenal...very happy we found this great boutique spot.
We went there for brunch. We arrived for our reservation at 11:00 am on a Sunday there was 2 tables seated and no one else there. We were given breaksfast menus. I asked if I could see the lunch menu and was told they weren’t serving lunch yet. There website specifically mentioned Sunday brunch. Waitress expressed she was busy. I would not go back.
We had Thanksgiving dinner there and the food was outstanding. It was served family style. There was enough to feed four for the two of us. All of dishes were prepared perfectly. The staff was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. I would recommend giving Blonde's a try.
Good Food but pricey. Pictures on Yelp were deceiving, not as great of a setting as hoped. Restuarant right off the hotel lobby.
Needs more staff to bus tables and should not spray table cleaner while guest are eating.
We ate here as a family. Nice tomato heirloom salad Korean beef too.
Excellent Service, our server Matty was excellent. Food was okay.
Took my family for the 1st
for dinner and we were greeted by a very friendly host and the service was fantastic. They were very attentive and the food was absolutely amazing! We had the kale salad the tacos, octopus and Tomahawk Ribeye steak we will definitely be going back soon.
We had two brunch reservations. One for a party of 10-12 and another for a party of 17. Maybe Blonde shouldn't accept reservations for large parties, because this was more like a coffee shop setting. Even though Blonde knew in advance, and the dining room had ZERO customers that morning, the staff was not prepared for our brunch reservation(s) for two large parties. It was all sorted out eventually, but one would think that IF there was a restaurant manager, there would have been a game plan in place to have an adequate staff, have the tables arranged, set, and ready for seating. It worked out after awhile. I feel that the kitchen staff was not alerted / prepared as well for our two large parties. Not surprisingly, our food took about 30 minutes to be served. The wait staff was cordial in trying to do their job and accommodate us. The food was good for a morning brunch (except the fries were so overly salted that we couldn't eat them).
All we had were starter salads, very good (especially the beet salad, but was supposed to have goat cheese as featured ingredient, but only had about 1/2 tsp of cheese sprinkled on top, very skimpy). Portions are very small, especially the fruit cobbler dessert. Was about 4 bites of fruit with virtually no topping (where was the cobbler part), so it was fruit and a tiny scoop of ice cream dessert. At $10 this was not a good buy.
Restaurant had 3 tables of people, very slow for Sat night in Pismo Beach. Restaurant is very new.
Good potential though !
Enjoyed the food very much. Great menu items, including a kale Caesar salad. Service was outstanding, but then we were the only table for about half of our meal.
Our first visit was late lunch - no one in the dining room and the attendant said there was someone to serve at the patio on top. We wanted to check out the view (which had been recommended). The pool / bar patio up top does have a nice view of the city parking lot, the pier and the beach. Good place to sun if you don't mind constant rap background - and a half dozen tables (none with any shade). Had to order at the bar, and the attendant there was up for drinks but seemed disinterested in diners. He did deliver the order to the table (no napkins or condiments) but never checked to see if we needed anything else. I went to the bar to pay when ready to leave. The sandwiches and fries were good, but lacking service and shade, I wouldn't recommend it as an eating option to anyone.
Pork chops with smoked apple habanero sauce was to die for. Service was warm and friendly.
The service was good but the food fell fa
Not kid friendly. Prices were too high for the experience.
