   It was our wedding anniversary. Blockley Cafe never disappoints. The food and service were excellent.

   Lovely location in the centre of Blockley Village. Had fab menu that catered for all parties requirements. Great friendly staff and the food was very tasty xxx.

   Our group of 6 diners of varying ages from late teenager to OAPs included one vegetarian. We are frequent users of the Cafe during the day, and only occasionally diners. At the end of this dinner each of us remarked as to the very good all-round experience we had had.

   A truly exceptional meal in an unpretentious restaurant, but with a very pleasant natural ambience and an excellent view over part of this Cotswolds village. The menu was in the French tradition of only offering a few entrees and main courses. The meals themselves were of exceptional quality and beautifully presented. Portion size was restrained but perfectly adequate, especially as the fixed price menu included also an amuse bouche and a dessert. Service was by local young women, very cheery and naturally friendly. The menu changes every month so there is no point in writing about our particular choices. Other diners were happy to enter into conversation about the food and the village. In fact we decided that rather then having a series of tables for two persons, the venue could have had us share one long table and encourage us to chat even more! We found out about this restaurant by chance after a walk in the area. We decided to try it out even though we live in Birmingham, nearly an hour's drive away. We shall definitely be returning.

   Excellent and beautifully presented food - we have never been disappointed. The only negative for us is the room is cold , but knowing this we add more layers.

   Having booked the table well in advance using the app when we arrived on time for our reservation there was no provision made. They then found out booking and whilst apologetic sent us outside for almost 25 minutes whilst they reconfigured the restaurant to accomodate us and another couple who’d arrived immediately after us. We ordered drinks whilst we waited and sat outside until the table was ready for us. The service was rather underwhelming which was a shame as we’d heard amazing things about Blockley cafe. There was a large booking upstairs and it felt as though this had been the staff working front of house priority The food was excellent Beautifully presented, delicious and the deserts were heavenly. We were asked to hold onto our cutlery in between courses which was a little odd given the quality of the food being served and cutlery for the four of us was placed on the corner of our table rather than at our place settings for the desert. I could not fault the food But form a customer service and customer experience perspective it was very disappointing We were not even offered a complimentary drink by way of apology Shame

I instructed the front of house team to provide you with your first drinks on us as a way of apology and understood that you had not been charged for them. Please be assured that the issues were addressed immediately with the team on the evening itself.    We have been to Blockley twice before and have had excellent meals every time. We look forward to our next visit in the near future.

    Came across blockley cafe whilst staying in blockley and was blown away. It was suggested we went into Moreton to eat but I’m so glad we didn’t. Food was outstanding, service was perfect. A little gem! Little extras for a birthday finalised a perfect meal.
