Solid visit to Block for Brunch. Service was amazing and food was very good. My only complaint was the chicken fried steak was overly salty. Everything else was great!!

I ordered the wedge salad. I had to cut the very end off myself. Why would you serve lettuce with the end core piece still on? The dressing had hot sauce in it. I hate spice. Why would you add hot sauce to a wedge salad dressing? We also ordered the ox tail. It was pretty good, but super salty. We did enjoy the side dishes that were in the ox tail order. We were sitting right under the speaker and had to ask to turn it down; the music was too loud. Also not the kind of music that goes with the atmosphere of the restaurant. Overall, too pricey, too salty, and too spicy.

Asked for a side of not crispy bacon. What was served was not editable. If someone would have touched it, it would have crumbled. Waited for 20 min to order, waited 49 mins to get food. Food came out in weird phases, not everyone had their food at the same time.

Highly reviewed, so I was eager to try Block but it was a very disappointing experience. The ambiance is 1960's country from the shiny wood paneling to the hard backed chairs. The food is downscale Denny's-esque and the service is eager but inexperienced. They have espresso cocktails but no espresso drinks because "oh, that's from the bar". My breakfast was eggs on a hamburger with bacon on a bun with french fries. That's from the brunch menu. Never again.

Only complaint is we waiting quite awhile for our food, mentioned it to our waitress after other tables we’re getting their food around us, not sure where the mix up was but it was to long after we got our food and it was delish!

My husband and I have never tried The Block. We are pretty picky eaters, but The Block did not disappoint! The pairing of ingredients exceeded our expectations! It was impressive to watch how well coordinated the hostess, our waiter, and the kitchen staff was. They made it so our appetizers, main meal, and desert was timed perfectly

Delicious brunch experience, be sure to order a pancake for the table to share. Eggs Benedict were absolutely perfect and the Block hash bowl was fresh, delicious and unique. Highly recommend if you’re in the Provo area.

My husband and I went for brunch. The food was outstanding. We shared the Mansado and the French toast. There is a lot of room for improvement with their coffee, but that won’t stop us from returning for their wonderful brunch.

Great menu, quality and tastes top notch. The only drawback to the evening was the temperature which was VERY warm inside. There was a giant fan operating in the waiting area so I’m assuming they were having some HVAC issues. It was so good though that I would not hesitate to return, even if the A/C was still out.

Service was okay. Sometimes we needed our server, but didn’t even see him for 10 minutes at a time. Ambience was smoky and loud at first. That improved the longer we we were there. Food was good. Some dishes were a bit too spicy, or even bland.

Very disappointed. The Eggs Benedict had stale hard rolls so hard you had to use a steak knife. The staff knew it as well. The fries are horrible over cooked to a point of being burnt. Maybe they think this is cook but its not. Fries out all the taste. Service was good and they did offer a refund but the problem is they knew it was bad.

Cute place. Smells like a fast food restaurant tho. Left there w our clothes smelling like grease. Poor ventilation from their kitchen. Zucchini fritters were greasy and over cooked. The arugula and yoghurt with it were good tho. Gnocchi w short ribs came out at room temperature. Obviously it had been sitting a while. Would’ve told the waitress, but she just dropped off the food and disappeared until it was time for the check. Probably would’ve ordered a second glass of Malbec, but pretty hard when they don’t check on you. Overall, looks like a place that was a good idea, but really is just mediocre and not well run. Too bad.

The duck was beautifully served and perfectly cooked at medium rare. Only problem was not enough it was that good. Dessert was the recommended chocolate s’mores pie. Again, excellent. Layout of restaurant is all wood tables, well spaced from each other. Kitchen prep is open but shielded by a wall. A little bit pricey but overall worth the tab

This was my first visit and probably my last. Very limited menu. Waitress was very knowledgeable about menu items because they were all a little strange. I had the braised ribs and gnocchi. It was basically like eating a lot of pot roast and gnocchi on bottom. There were a few skinny, tough mushrooms and onions. That was it. Hubby had corn pasta and liked it, but not loved it. For the price, it should have been better. I would rather of had fast food than this. Over priced and over rated.

Love love loved our meal (Eggs Benedict) and especially loved our server Nathan! So kind, attentive, knowledgeable and there when you need him but not-in-the-way or needlessly interrupting. He was Perfect. And the panna cotta was soooo good my sister and I took 2 orders to go!! The only constructive criticism we could offer is to level the table (leg), maybe a few stokes of fresh paint, and a little sound insulation blown into ceiling. Food and people were great and worth a visit!!! 🌷💕👍
