Lovely setting on Block Island with garden views. Very quiet. Excellent service. Delicious food, beautifully presented. I ordered Japanese oysters, shared a watermelon, arugula and feta salad with my husband and enjoyed the seared scallop entree with lemon risotto. Yum!

Lovely restaurant. Oysters were overpriced and dry. Our meals came out cold. Food at that price should be so much tastier. Had to get my own wine glass. Bus staff tried to take our plates twice while eating.

Spouse and I visited on a Friday evening, and despite passing several empty tables, we were seated near the far end of the rear patio….where we could see, hear, and occasionally smell the activity, noise / conversations, and scents coming from the nearby kitchen door and window. Thus, for us, poor ambience. Cocktails were tasty and glasses full to the brim. Shared grilled watermelon and goat cheese salad, and Ahi tuna appetizer were very nice, with salad of ample size. Spouse’s salmon nicely done, and again of ample size. My cioppino found the lobster dry and tough, and the broth limited in flavor. Server pleasant, helpful ,and friendly, but at times he was absent for extended stretches….never asking if the entrees were enjoyable, until we were nearly completed with them. He took so long returning with the dessert listings (which were disappointing), we quickly scanned them, told him that we changed our minds, and asked for the bill.

This restaurant, while in a beautiful setting both indoors an out has A LOT of room for improvement. We expected premium pricing for gourmet food but what we were served was not a culinary delight. The $50 rib steak was tough and over done. The lobster mashed potatoes were under cooked and under mashed leaving forkfuls of raw-ish potato chunks on my plate. The swordfish was just ok. The hosts (greeters at the front of the house)were downright rude and unwelcoming, which should have been a portent of the experience ahead. The service was poor and ill mannered. Some proper training would go a long way here. As an annual guest in the Island, we were excited to see this restaurant begin anew but can safely say we will not be back. We miss the fabulous meals and impeccable service of the former Manisses.

BIOB is a phenomenal spot with the gardens. The staff and service are on point. Food was delicious. The cod is a standout! Only thing that really was disappointing was the the steamed clams app….5 clams and to which our server explained was done by weight (nothing contained in the printed description gave any indication nor did our server prepare us as I’ve encountered elsewhere with non traditional portions)

Scallops were awesome & the watermelon salad too. The Portbello was good but the balsamic was to sweet . Our waiter G- from Turkey started out really good and then we lost him for the rest of dinner . We were never asked if we wanted dessert or tea & coffee. I actually got up after 15-20 mins of waiting to give my credit card so we could get the check and leave.

We had a lovely dinner outside - excellent food and cocktails. Very friendly age attentive wait staff. Outdoor garden where we sat had an French feel with running fountain, overhanging lighted trees and flowers. Highly recommend

Seated in main dining room, sunlight directly in our eyes and a noise level that prevented us from conversing easily. Wait staff very attentive. Food very good and served at a reasonable pace. Have eaten here several times in the outdoor patio and it was special.

Dining outdoors near the fountain or between the trees was lovely. The backdrop of cows and kids feeding them was entertaining. Loved the scenery behind the restaurant for great pictures and relaxation. Food was excellent. Swordfish with lobster mashed was good. There was too much Bernaise - ask for this on the side. My 11 yr old daughter enjoyed the blackened chicken w/mac, the Sautéed oysters with lobster and mushrooms., and the charcuterie board was also a hit. Will definitely be back.

We have vacationed on Blaock Island for 40 years and have never eaten here. What a gem! Since it was a rainy evening we were moved inside. Beautiful restaurant and elegant bar. Our waitress, from South Africa, was knowledgeable about the menu and very personable. House salad is huge and fresh. Oysters were shucked with perfection, scallop and swordfish entrees were divine. We will definitely eat here again.

The food is excellent. I had the portbella appetizer & watermelon salad for dinner & it was outstanding. My husband had the swordfish with lobster mashed potatoes & it was absolutely delicious. I had the mojito, but didn’t really taste any alcohol in it. Enjoy a glass wine instead.

This BJ’s the first we have eaten here since changing the name. Good menu selection, melas were very good. A couple of minor mistakes by the service but the kitchen rectified. All in all a very good dinner with a beautiful dining room

Food and outdoor seating were great - even in not so great weather. Service was lacking. Host was abrupt and server was not attentive —had to cut $50 ribeye with butter knife because couldn’t get his attention until meal was half eaten. When he did come over, he forgot things, like coffee which he brought (lukewarm) after we’d finished dessert. We go every year and have never had such bad service, so maybe adjust an off-night, but still disappointing and not worth the price.

This special restaurant near the Manassis Hotel is very special. Their outdoor garden is elegant with unusual trees and flowers centered around a tiered fountain. The food includes local seafood and produce. They were also able to provide a vegan entree. We will soon return!

Possibly one of the most romantic and delicious dinner experiences we have ever had. The outdoor seating was a beautiful park like setting. The oysters are a MUST! Our dinners were exquisite! The ingredients were vibrant and fresh and bursting with flavors. Service was gracious.
