Block Bar Brighton is a friendly yet cutting edge bar based in the vibrant Kemptown are of Brighton. We pride ourselves in exquisite food, extensive drinks menu and a welcoming and happy team.
Our kitchen is equipped with a Spanish style wood and charcoal burning Bertha Oven giving all our food that rustic tasty vibe and our wine list is thoughtfully selected to support our chefs outstanding culinary achievements. We have a passion for new wineries and vineyards who like ourselves enjoy pushing the boundaries to reach the optimum experience. Our wine menu is complimented by a great range of craft draft beers with regular guest appearances.
All our food is sourced locally with only the finest produce from local farms, fishermen and suppliers ensuring premium meat, fish and vegetables allowing for our basque influenced menu.
We are renowned for our sun-trapped garden again with a Mediterranean feel with the accolade of being voted Brighton’s best garden for the last two years.

I really do love Block and I always recommend it to friends. I’ve been coming there for years now for drinks and dinners, but I really wouldn’t recommend going there for “bottomless” brunch. There is no service whatsoever, as there is one member of staff serving quite a lot of people (about 15-20 customers I think). You have to go to the bar and wait quite a while for your mediocre refills (our mimosas were about 4/5 juice and 1/5 prosecco, they weren’t very fizzy). I also didn’t like my food, was very disappointed (no one ever came to ask if everything was okay either). As much as I love block, really this time I was very disappointed. Almost forgot to mention the undrinkable coffee. Tastes like re-used coffee grounds, do not order coffee there!

Block was recommended by the owners of the apartment we were staying at. Absolutely loved the design of the place! Modern industrial but very welcoming and cosy and the staff were really friendly. Great menu and the food was fantastic, at a very reasonable price too! Would highly recommend.
