   Avoid this place. Our meal was overpriced, under-seasoned, and weird. We expected high class “Montana Chop House” dining and received a meal you might find at Applebees. We booked this restaurant as a final dinner after a weekend of skiing based off of reviews and photos online. It *is* a cool looking restaurant with a nice bar. However, the food and service were both a major disappointment. Our server was unable to clearly or accurately answer questions relating to dietary preferences / allergies. Does this dish have pork? Yes? No? Maybe? Three waiters gave us three answers. The sides were described as “large”. They were not. They were tiny portions of entirely under-seasoned or over-salted veggies. The meat? Its fine. Was that actually bison? I’m skeptical! Just avoid this place. I don’t know if there is anything better in Big Sky for a steak, but just don’t go here. Go next door to Lotus Pad, it’s a much better meal for a quarter of the price.

   Lovely atmosphere and good music. Service very good. Food was very mediocre and instructions to eliminate bacon from the entree and then to bring clean no sauce vegetables not followed at all. We had a nice appetizer but didn’t like the rest of the meal. Management adjusted the bill which was nice and appropriate under the circumstances.

   Upon arrival in Big Sky, we booked dinner here because the menu looked upscale & interesting. Had trouble finding the place-it’s actually in the Wilson Lodge. Should say that on your website then people can find you! Enjoyed the steelhead trout which was crispy & served over cooked grains with a silky red pepper sauce. Loved the elk loin with side of Brussels sprouts. They were sautéed with lardons for a nice smoky flavor then topped with a hint of fresh horseradish. Fabulous! The wine list is, as usual, overpriced but we tried an Oregon Pinot noir that was very good. Wish we had room for dessert. Our waiter, Christopher, was exceptionally attentive through the meal and made excellent suggestions. Ask for him when you go! Highly recommend this restaurant!

    Great service and drinks. The tartare sampler wasn’t all that great. My bison ribeye was mediocre. My wife’s elk sirloin with Demi glacé was fantastic.

    The ambience, food, and service were all fantastic! We didn’t get anything from the bar but it looked nice and had a very impressive selection of bourbon. We split the cheese fondue, trio of game sampler, wild game sausage and roasted chicken entree between 2 adults and 2 kids and it was plenty of food. I highly recommend!

    Ambiance is really good but unfortunately we were by the kitchen door. Filet was good but not in my top 10 of steaks I’ve had. My daughter said the Wagyu beef burger was delicious. Her side of fries and my roasted vegetables were very good. Server was very friendly and attentive.

    Our server Danny was absolutely amazing! He made my birthday night really special and the manager even gave our table a dessert on the house! The fondue was an amazing touch as well.

    The service was ok, not spectacular. Waited & then asked again for salt & pepper shakers. No large plates were given to split our steaks which was odd. The creamed spinach was served cold. They took it off the bill & gave us a hot one which was nice. Overall it was just an ok meal, wouldn’t go back.

    Party of 4 each having meat off butcher block, filet, elk and bison. All were prepared perfectly. Mushroom side was wonderful as were our two appetizers, cauliflower soup and lobster hushpuppies. Our server was wonderful, wish I remembered her name.

    This place needs to work through some kinks in their service overall. Our entire table’s food was held up because we were waiting for the kitchen to finish a cauliflower steak. When I received the cauliflower steak, it was not completely cooked. My guess is there was a miscommunication somewhere. The wine list is a mess. I would blame it on the lack of supply but we went to other local restaurants with more variety and reasonably priced nice wines. It feels like they are trying to serve a hotel clientele rather than being a local restaurant. It’s a huge space and I do not think that model will serve them well for the long term.

    You can rebrand and double your prices but that won’t make people return. Food was ok, service was good, extremely expensive, even for big sky. Go to Olive Bs instead, much better food and appropriate prices.

    Had the sausage sampler to try the various meets. Arrived with nothing to tell us what was what so could improve there. Bartender was efficient but made no effort to add personality, no conversation-could improve there.
