Magnificent as usual. Great food and great service.
My wife and I went here for our anniversary. She is a vegetarian, so we went based on the high ratings and vegetarian options. While there was only one vegetarian option, everything we ordered was fantastic. The charcuterie was delicious, the snapper was scrumptious, and the butter cake was also 5/5. I have already recommended this restaurant to a friend. Enjoy!
This was an amazing restaurant with a fabulous atmosphere. My husband and i would visit San Antonio just to eat at Bliss again!
Fabulous food and service! The patio is lovely for quiet conversation. Inside tends to be a bit noisy.
The reception was warm, parking lot a plus, good appetizers waiter very helpful.
We shared a room with a company function very noisy and got louder as the evening progressed.
Disappointed that I was not made aware of that. I recommend that in future parties of 5 which mine was are made aware of this situation.
Will return to have the Branzino, Sea Bass, since you had sold out for our 7:30 seating.
How we managed to miss this restaurant for so many years we do not know, but we look forward to going back over and over again! The food was delicious and incredibly creative.
Ambience and food quite good
Service only 3 stars - waiter did not ask about allergies, salad brought out with dressing (ordered without), had to ask for coffee refill. Lastly check brought over before asking.
Overall would recommend for upscale traveler, we would try again.
We have gone to Bliss several times over the years and they are consistently incredible. I have yet to have anything to complain about (after at least 10 visits over 5 years). Fantastic food, great ambiance, and exceptional service.
Dined at Bliss on a vacation to San Antonio. One of several excellent meals but this was the best! And superb service. There were 4 of us and we shared many of the dishes; all terrific! Don’t miss Bliss!
excellent service, great wine selection and amazing food,,, loved it!!
There is a fine line between efficient service and rushed service, and unfortunately this service was rushed to the hilt. On a busy Saturday night, it was very obvious that the servers were trying to flip our table as quickly as possible. Literally within 1 minute of being seated, our water was poured and we were told the specials. We barely had time to catch our breath! Our requests and orders were delivered with breathtaking speed - and not in a good way. If we had wanted to get a quick bite before a movie, we would have gone to Red Robin. The food itself was overall very good. Our arugula salad was graced by a delicious sherry honey garlic vinaigrette, but it was dressed so heavily that the potent vinaigrette flavor all but drowned out the peppery arugula. The sea scallops and duck/foie gras entrees were very enjoyable, and we were very thankful for our server's wine recommendations and the samples she brought to our table before we made our choice. Sadly, what could have been an outstanding evening was marred by the rushed service. When you spend close to $150 for dinner for 2, you expect better than that....
We were seated at our favorite table and really enjoyed the evening. Bliss never disappoints. Look forward to our next visit.
We were visiting from out of town and so happy to have found this restaurant. Excellent food, beautiful presentation and wonderful service with attention to every detail and frequently refreshed and replaced silverware. Only wine and beer available but enjoyed a delicious meal.
The food and service were outstanding, starting from the unbelievable charcuterie with humboldt cheese. Can’t wait to go back when the budget allows!!
All around amazing.
Server is great
Food was awesome. First time having grits. Fabulous
For us, Bliss is the best restaurant in San Antonio. We go there for special occasions. The food, service and atmosphere never disappoint.
The oyster sliders were very tasty, and my husband loved his fish dish. I was not a fan of my duck fish. It was quite tough and the kale salad that accompanied it was bitter.
Bliss was amazing. Everything we ordered was so delicious. Many compliments to the chef!
Server up sold us on appetizer without mentioning the price, and food is fairly expensive. But the food was all very good and good quality, just very small portions. More of a one time experience type of place
Again and again ... best fine dining. Experience
After a few years of hearing about Bliss, my wife and I finally took the opportunity to try it out,
and oh what a delight Bliss is! We did our best to sample as much as we could from the menu.
We enjoyed Oyster Sliders, Tomato-Ancho Soup, Duck, Red Snapper, a FABULOUS Bordeaux blend, Cappuccino, and Goat Cheese Cake. ALL WERE SUPERB, as was EVERYONE on the Bliss Team!! We get around, and Bliss now fits easily in our top 10 list of Best Restaurants Worldwide! Thank you, Bliss! We cannot wait to be there again.
Excellent meal and Edward was very knowledgeable with the menu/wine list and made excellent recommendations. Spent a week in San Antonio and tried many recommended restaurants and this one by far exceeded the others and expectations.
As people who cook and love to experiment with great food, a superlative restaurant experience is defined by service (above and beyond authentic and personable), atmosphere (truly lovely, real and in line with the whole experience) and food that we would not typically achieve ourselves (absolutely creative and inspiring!). A great night on all accounts!
Entrees were fabulous. Service was attentive, informative, and friendly. The duck was fabulous and the sea scallops were prepared and cooked perfectly (not easy to do). Wine list was well chosen and not overly extensive. Good variety in the wine list (grapes, countries, regions). Can't wait to celebrate our anniversary here in June.
While at a conference well outside of town, I was looking for a restaurant for myself and a great client. I found Bliss online and reserved a table. Bliss did not disappoint! From an appetizer of oyster sliders and a fantastic soup to the Snapper and Short Ribs entrees the food was absolutely fantastic.
Loved Our entire experience at Bliss, but what made it even more outstanding was exceptional service by a very thoughtful and proactively accommodating server Lico.
Lovely food. Very nice space.
Meal was delicious. Flavors were so unique.
Great food, service and ambiance. Menu changes daily.
I was disappointed with the atmosphere because it was a very special occasion and we basically could not have a conversation without interruptions from the waiter or the people seated on either side of us. The food was good and the restaurant was enjoyable but the ambiance was not romantic.
Incredible experience! Everything we ate was stellar but the standouts were the fried oyster sliders, their take on a wedge salad, and the Cajun spiced quail stuffed with dirty rice. Would return in a heartbeat if we didn’t live in Kansas City!
Fantastic food & service for our group of 10 celebrating a birthday
A fantastic restaurant! We will definitely be eating there again.
I was attending a conference and dined at several restaurants along the River Walk over those four days. The food, service and value varied dramatically, with two spots making it on my "never again" list. Thankfully just a few miles down the road we found Bliss! The food was exceptional. (The best scallops I've had in years.) The ambiance and service also spot-on. And plenty of free parking building-adjacent?! Too good to be true. Ive got another conference in SA in May. We'll be back to Bliss... probably twice!
Excellent service, great food.
Great food and decent wine selection. 1st at Bloss. Will go back. Easy parking for downtown.
It was an amazing experience me and my wife had for a very overdue date night. The staff was very friendly and professional. And the food....OH MY GOD SOOOO GOOD!!! Bliss will definitely be our date night spot.
Good restaurant. Safe and ample parking. Very nice hostesses. I was there for Valentine's day so the place was packed and thus noisy. The kitchen is very close to the sitting area and this adds to the commotion, as waiting staff goes back and forth to the kitchen and back , navigating through very narrow spaces between the tables. Our server was middle aged woman, tired of her work, barely trying to hide her exasperation behind a forced smile. Although she did a solid job, personally, I'd prefer someone more enthusiastic. The food was very tasty. It was a special holiday four course meal. The weird thing is that an appetizer was a small arrangement on a big plate, however the rest of the courses were large and overfilling. Also, I felt a bit rushed.I think the pauses between the courses weren't long enough to fully enjoy the meal. I felt the message was: Eat up, we got more people coming. The thing I disliked the most though is not adherence to the dress code advertised. Most people were dressed really nice but few wore jeans and shirts. I mean, is this a nice expensive place or what? Well, all and all, I'd give them seven out of ten. I don't think I would go back there, but I'd recommend to check it out.
