Local lore suggests Broad Street was home to many houses of “ill repute” throughout the years. In 1992, ninety-nine years after the first “Blind Tigers” appeared, the “Blind Tiger Pub” opened in its current location, paying homage to a historic tradition.
Despite changing hands several times throughout the years, the Blind Tiger Pub has always remained a fixture of Charleston society. In 2016, after painstaking restoration, the “Blind Tiger Pub” was reborn. Striving to continue to honor the legacy of its previous caretakers, we invite you to join us in celebrating this Charleston institution.
I am keto and could not find anything with low carbs that sounded appealing. We ended up leaving. Was too loud and they offered to turn down music.
The service and the food were very good. Basically a great bar that serves food. We were there on a Sunday night...the slowest night of the week! It was on the noisy side but probably if we were 20 years younger...we would have liked it a lot. Big beer selection and small meal selection. If you are going for a quiet dinner, this isn’t the place but if you are going for more nightlife this is your place.
Great pub...it's a pub, not an extensive menu but what they make they make really well, get the truffle fries. Lots of beer and cocktail choices and our server Christian was fantastic. Nice and casual.
Other than being loud, it was great!
Loved it. Food great. Nice waitress.
First off I’d like to thank Danielle the amazing hostess, she had it together and was so patient.
Maddie our waitress was so dang friendly, I loved her. She took pride in her job, service and was there promptly to take all of our orders.
And she delivered the check when we asked her, we didn’t have wait twenty minutes.
BLT was great, a great spin, two separate piles, served on a 1/2 inch of a sliced tomato on a bed of arugula. A poached egg on top of a crispy piece of pork belly with Hollandaise sauce. It was fantastic.
The burger was cooked well and was tasty, The Parmesan truffle fries were huge hit at the table. The duck confit hash was also delicious with the little new potatoes.
They have a full bar, restaurant, we sat in the back courtyard and it was beautiful. I love this place, I love Charleston, and I WOULD recommend going here.
Dirty, poor service. First Ones to arrive and seated outside the kitchen. Asked for the fan to be turned down. Ignored. Something wasn’t great with the food as I dealt with an upset stomach the rest of the day. Won’t return.
Great experience, service was awesome. Moscow Mule a must.
Delicious food, gorgeous courtyard and the $10 Mimosa carafes were the perfect brunch partner 👌 Service was fab, attentive, quick and full of recommendations! Would 100% recommend
Excellent service and very good good, especially the truffle frites and argula salad.
We enjoyed the food. I wish I realized I should have booked a table outside instead of inside. The outside patio was super cool. The inside was nothing special. The one complaint I have about the experience was the fan above us was on high and blowing our hair in our faces while we eat. I asked the server if she could turn it down a bit and she said she couldn’t because she had no idea how it worked?? A little frustrated that she didn’t get someone that did know how the fan worked to turn it down a bit. Other than that the food was excellent and I would love to go back and sit outside.
Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Definitely recommend
Friends were in town and wanted something casual and low key. The Blind Tiger was perfect! They have plenty of menu options and are budget friendly.
The menu is limited, but the food is delicious. I could eat the brussels sprouts and nothing else, they were so good! I had the chicken avocado club, my daughter had the hamburger and my granddaughter had the steak sandwich. We all agreed that our meals were delicious. Our server was so sweet, I wanted to adopt her! Great dining experience.
Very innovative and delicious sandwich options. A very good selection of appetizers as well, I recommend the bleu chips.
I would come back here over and over again. The outdoor area looks like a dream, it is so beautiful. It was one of the best brunches i've been to since moving here. Loved it!
Vacation great space friendly service...excellent burger and drinks
Our Waiter was so nice. Food was good, especially the oysters! Way too noisy. Not comfortable chais so
not encouraged to linger.
Brought the family (kids 8 and 13) for a last minute dinner. Really good oysters and the spicy chicken sandwich is excellent. Really good local brews on tap too. High seating only which might make families with younger children think twice.
The food was outstanding for brunch. A great find in the city
This is the greatest brunch place in Charleston. Not even close.
The food was great for pub fare and service was solid. We were sat in the bar area and it was very loud, even though it was not late or overly crowded. The outdoor patio looks amazing, but unfortunately we were there when it was raining and could not dine outside. I definitely recommend checking out the back patio on a nice day!
Great place for casual dinner and drinks! Definitely recommend.
Awesome food and atmosphere. Went for brunch and everything we had was delicious
Our waitress didn’t bring us a new water jug for the table until halfway through our meal when we had only gotten one in the beginning, and had obviously drank it all.
Blind Tiger was a hidden gem. We had the duck sandwich and the chicken sandwich both were good. The sangria was also very good. The only downfall was the iced tea. We ate outside on a shaded table with a fan about e is it was very cute and quaint environment.
This checked all of our boxes - Nashville hot chicken, excellent music playing, truly medium rare steak, named after my favorite childhood animal, and the best sweet tea I have ever had.
The seats were uncomfortable and wobbly (high tops). It was extremely hot in the restaurant. The service was just ok, had to get up and request more water for the table. The food was decent and not overly expensive. Saw several people come in and leave without eating or getting a drink. All the other inside tables where we were sitting were empty. There were only a couple people sitting at the bar.
Food was tasty
Service was good
Seating was uncomfortable
Food was ok, not great. Service not great.
We loved our brunch at Blind Tiger. Our food was delicious. Mimosa’s were tasty. Despite our server seeming disinterested and inattentive, we had an enjoyable experience. I am sad not to give a full 5 stars in the review.
Reservations was for 4pm. Arrived at 3:55, and was leaving at 4:45 after taking our time enjoying appetizers, a flight of local craft beers, and entrees. The service was lightning fast, the food excellent, and our waiter attentive without hovering.
We had a party of three, we were seated inside at a very small tall table, made it very difficult to manage the meals and appetizers, food was very good, the server although nice and kind was somewhat forgetful on a few items.
This place is fantastic! The food is outrageously delicious. My husband had the duck sandwich and he absolutely loved it! We had three different appetizers and all of them were amazing! The macaroni and cheese is out of this world. I highly recommend this place. Great fun staff as well.
It’s ok. Service was good. Food arrived quickly. Didn’t care for the coating on the fries. Steak was cooked as specified. Nothing stood out - good or bad. I wouldn’t protest if friends wanted to eat there.
It was the perfect brunch- had perfect shareables, meals and drinks! Always love this place.
It was quaint, the food & service were awesome, can’t wait to return !!
Got to sit outside in the courtyard which was fabulous. So relaxing. Food was excellent. We wanted to linger all afternoon.
Great service friendly staff. Fish and chips awesome
