Local lore suggests Broad Street was home to many houses of “ill repute” throughout the years. In 1992, ninety-nine years after the first “Blind Tigers” appeared, the “Blind Tiger Pub” opened in its current location, paying homage to a historic tradition.
Despite changing hands several times throughout the years, the Blind Tiger Pub has always remained a fixture of Charleston society. In 2016, after painstaking restoration, the “Blind Tiger Pub” was reborn. Striving to continue to honor the legacy of its previous caretakers, we invite you to join us in celebrating this Charleston institution.
Cute spot, good food and not too loud!
Recommended to us by a tour guide, the Blind Tiger serves good pub food - excellent burger! We ate in the courtyard and our waiter, Owen, was very helpful and looked after us well. Good beers and cocktails too.
We sat outside and had a great experience. Our server was awesome and the food was great. The weather forced us to move inside and it was very damp smelling - only complaint.
Conveniently located on Broad St. The Blind Tiger is a great spot to grab a meal and a cold beverage. We went for lunch and loved the simplified menu options and more so, impressed by how good the food tasted. Highly recommend eating outside, great atmosphere and friendly staff.
The CUTEST outdoor space and great for a large group. We got a bunch of apps to share and everything was super good!
Food was great, but the service was terrible. We had someone with a food allergy but couldn't find our server so we went to the hostess who was a huge help. I have a feeling it was just this server and the other staff members are more attentive.
Amazing staff! Pricier than I thought for a pub, but overall a great time and great food.
We were thinking when we made the reservation that it was for outside dining but we were seated by the kitchen. Not the ambiance we were looking for. If you want outside seating you need to request it on the notes.
Family Easter meal
Had a great time. Weather was great. Patio awesome and food good. Especially bourbon pudding
This was our second time there as a family and we love it. Food is fantastic and service is excellent. They do not rush you out the door. Would recommend highly
Party of 8
Meals were not served together
3 avocado toasts cane as almost everyone else was halfway finished with their meal
We sat outside. It was very laid back and relaxing. Had lunch with some beer and bloody Mary. Our service was super nice and helpful. Outside seating was so charming with old brick structure.
I would have to visit again to see if I could recommend Blind Tiger. On Sunday we had brunch reservations for a large group, and the beginning was pretty rocky. Our waitress seemed unhappy, and we waited about 25 minutes for coffee and a few carafes of mimosas. We normally don't complain about a wait unless it's excessive, since we realize it's hard to handle a large group (13 people). But one of us had to leave for the airport in an hour, and we started to worry that we were going to wait 45 minutes for the food. My husband and I spoke to the manager (separately) and the second conversation definitely turned things around. We placed our orders, the waitress turned on the overhead heaters (it was pouring and some of us had gotten wet walking through the restaurant to the covered back patio), and the food came incredibly fast, with multiple servers. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and all ended well. As our friend said, the horse stumbled out of the gate, but ended up with a decent finish!
Great food, great service. Definitely would have dinner again! Maddie did a great job with 11 of us! Try the Nashville chicken sandwich,
The food was great, and our service was great too.
Great brunch carafe and place to catch up with a group of friends! Food is southern and sweet.
Asked for an outside table but had to sit inside by an air vent that never stopped.
Great food fun drinks!
Great food, great outdoor seating, and our server Hayleigh was awesome. We will definitely return on our next trip to Charleston.
Our server was great and the food was delicious! We came at a bad time because it was the end of the day and people were feeling themselves. But all in all we liked how laid back the place was. A bit pricey for what your get but it is downtown so...
The ONLY reason I did not give Bling Tiger 5 stars is barbecue I ordered Steak and Eggs from the brunch menu and for $17 I didn't even receive 4oz of steak. If that had been noted on the menu- I would have ordered something else. Other than that, the service and atmosphere is WONDERFUL!
Blind Tiger is our go to for out of town guests. The outdoor courtyard is crazy charming and food delicious, not to mention affordable. We always have a blast and visitors are charmed. The area is nice to walk around after a fun night. Highly recommend!
Had a great time! Thank you!
While the restaurant was a fun experience it was quite expensive. We ended up spending over $100 for dinner for two and two drinks each. However, the food was excellent! My wife said it was the best duck sandwich she had ever had, and quite possible the best sandwich overall she had ever had. The service was OK. Our waitress forgot to bring us silverware for about 5 minutes are we got our food, but otherwise a good experience.
Absolutely perfect for our birthday celebration. Shrimp & grits, burgers and mimosas! Thank you Blind Tiger! Can’t wait to return
We enjoyed brunch at the blind tiger. Benets and mimosa were all delicious. The food was also very enjoyable. This is really a good bar and they put out some great food. Service was a little slow but we were in no hurry. Overall very good place to dine.
If you aren’t in the courtyard, it’s just a loud bar w good food and bad service
Delicious chicken sandwich and cauliflower!!
Great value and tasty quick pub menu. Good prices for downtown. Nice pub atmosphere, but you definitely need to put outdoor patio on special requests in open table, or else you’ll be in the dive-ish inside pub area. Service was not too attentive, despite not being too busy.
Very nice Good food and value
We went for lunch. Average food. Good salad. Steak sandwich needed more steak in it. There wasn't enough steak to even call it a steak sandwich.
Waitress was AWFUL. Slow, disrespectful, rude. Forgot someone’s order. Worst service I’ve had in a long time
Great atmosphere and off the beaten patch. Once seated, the service was excellent. The table beside us kept getting larger and larger but wasn't an issue just a bit distracting as the table eventually turned into about 20 people just standing around.
Drinks were unique and delivered quickly. The patio fires are a nice touch to an evening that otherwise would have been too cold to sit outside.
Will visit again when in the area.
We sat outside — a real treat in Feb as we came down from snowy NJ! The meal and ambiance were perfect.
First time - great service, great meal. Relaxed, Pub feel. We will be back.
WOW. Just WOW. My fiancée and I went here and we cannot say enough good things. We had to try a bit of everything because we heard great reviews on a bunch of things. Well the wings were probably the best we have ever had. And we have eaten a lot of wings in our time. Perfect crisp on the outside, plenty of yummy meat on the inside. The Nashville hot chicken was really good too! It’s no Hatty B’s, but it was the best I’ve had outside of Nashville. I always order hot chicken when I see it and am disappointed. But this one was really good!! Worth a try for hot chicken lovers! As for the truffle fries.... HEAVEN. Pure heaven. Definitely the best meal I’ve had in Charleston. This place is an absolute MUST.
We had a party of 12 for a birthday celebration on a Saturday night! They were very accommodating and the food was awesome! We had a great time!!! Would highly recommend.
Enjoyed sitting in the courtyard.
Blind Tiger is a great lunch spot in Charleston! We tried it for dinner and it was good but not great — particularly in regard to the so so service.
Very delicious and pleasant. Our server was great. Would highly recommend.
