Our Chef’s take inspiration from Billy Madison who drew a blue duck because he had never seen one before, and he wanted to see a blue duck! Well, since our chefs love classic Adam Sandler humor and innovative cooking, we thought that Bleu Duck was the perfect name to showcase our fun environment and staff as well as our unique and creative menu. Just like Billy, we like to try things that you’ve never seen before!

Bleu Duck Kitchen and Oyster Bar is a full service restaurant that provides a fun and welcoming atmosphere where white linens meet a casual feel to create the new concept of “fun-dining”. Co-Owners Erik Kleven and Jennifer Lester regard each customer as a welcomed friend, and aim to provide them with an experience that is both personal and unique every time they visit.

Food was amazing, and the service was thoughtful and considerate. It was a great experience for us, that could have been bad, when my husband became ill. Everyone just quietly and efficiently helped cover his distress, and turned a difficult time into one where we felt cared for and acknowledged with empathy. Wonderful food and kindness, when he was feeling embarrassed is a great skill. It says so much about them. Go for the food. Enjoy the ambience and know there is empathy.

Wonderful dinner with our main dishes being Cornish Hen and Steelhead. Crowd was lively and service was attentive but not overbearing. Will definitely visit again.

Unfortunately, we have tried this restaurant a handle of times, hoping for a different experience. The steak was supposed to medium rare and it definitely more medium well. And for the price, it was rather tough. The lobster fried rice was really good, but hardly any pieces of lobster and a lot of egg. My husband had the oysters which he enjoyed and he also had the calamari which unfortunately had little to no flavor. For how much everything was, the food was just not what we had hoped. The server was great, very friendly and personable! I think her name was Hayden.

The wagyu steak was ridiculously overpriced and tough and the server did not disclose the $30 up charge. $70 for a tough few ounces.

Every year we come to Mayo Clinic for Annual Physical exams! ALWAYS on our list of restaurants is the Bleu Duck. Last nights dinner did NOT disappoint - Our evening started out with our amazing server Nikki - Every year we look forward to Nikki waiting on us - she is fun, knowledgeable and always makes recommendations that are spot on! We had the Shrimp appetizer- amazing, next I had the mushroom dish- great, my husband had the Fish special- fantastic. We finished our dinner with a blueberry tres leche cake- AMAZING! Thank you Bleu Duck and Nikki for a great night! We will be back in August and already we are looking forward to our next dinner at Bleu Duck!
