Blend on the Water Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I took our friends from Los Angeles for a nice night out and this restaurant I've picked was THE perfect spot. The atmosphere of the restaurant, ambiance, lighting, the view AND the food was incredible. Not one single dish wasn't good and the complimentary dessert for my dear friend who was celebrating her 30th birthday was very appreciated. If you check in on Yelp, they give you a free Sangria. We ended up getting another round of Sangria with Tequila shots. Not only I loved it, my friends from Los Angeles LOVED it. It will be my new favorite spot in Brooklyn for sure!
Overall we had a wonderful night at blend.. Although we were seated in the middle of two other couples while the restaurant was quite empty. We got over the space issue and enjoyed our meal. Food was well prepared and the drinks (mojitos) were on point. Toward the end of our night a couple were seated next to us who'd obviously been partying heavily (drunk). Because of the close quarters a few of their antics intruded on our meal but the manager was quick to observe that and offered us a round on the house. I always appreciate not having to complain about things because the attentive staff already addresses the issues. We will definitely be returning as we did not get a chance to sample their extensive tequila selection on this trip.
I had dinner with my girlfriends at Blend on the Water for my birthday. We had a great time, the food was delicious, the ambiance was great and the views were spectacular. The two situations that took away from the experience was the 45 minute wait for a table when we had a 630p reservation, and I really feel there should be more vegetarian options.
Other than that, I would like to give the place one more chance and try the brunch.
I was disappointed in the food. It was dry and lacked seasoning. I made reservations for my fiance's 40th birthday. Upon my arrival, I spoke with the hostess who assured me that she would arrange for the birthday desert and sparkler. That never happened. I ended up excusing myself from the table to ask my waiter directly. Visually, this is a beautiful place to dine as the view is spectacular and the ambiance is romantic. Other than that, I was under wowed.
Food was great & service was just as good. I'm a foodie so portions could have been bigger but we were planning on ordering enough food anyways. Coconut flan was to die for! The only thing that I would have changed was the music. It was super low, could hardly hear it . Considering it was a Saturday brunch for us, we were kind of looking to hear some music - but we got there right when they opened so I would assume it gets a little louder as the day goes on. Overall a great experience. Would definitely recommend!
I went here for my 30 birthday two years ago. I decided to take my friend here, we all order and one of the food was wrong. When I told the waiter, he said well if I get you a new one, it will take a while. I said never mind I will keep it. As I eat my food there was a piece of plastic in in the food; it was a broken glove piece I called the waiter over without one word he just took the food. Did not come back and apologized for the food or anything. I called him over, and he Said: "oh its onion."
No, I am sorry or anything or can I get you a different meal nothing.
We paid the bill and left, and it was a very hefty bill for 45 mins and did not even have dinner. I am discussed never again.
Had higher expectations for Blend on the Water. The food was ok, servings were smaller compared to other places I’ve been. I also specifically requested to be seated by the window and was told over the phone to get there earlier than my scheduled reservation time to be able to be seated next to a window. I arrived 40mins earlier than my reservation, waited all the way until my reservation time to then be told I would have to wait an additional 45mins if I wanted to be seated next to a window. I wasn’t happy about that but the manager came over and gave me two shots of Patron for the trouble. I must say, the service is excellent! Our waittress was VERY attentive! And the staff are beyond nice, but unsure if I would go out my way to eat here again. Does seem like a nice spot for some drinks at the bar though
First we were running a little behind. Called ahead and the lady said she would hold our reservation a half hr longer. We expect it’s busy and when we get there the restaurant is a ghost town. We really didn’t even need the reservation. I don’t recommend the arroz con mariscos, it had no taste or seasoning.
However the happy hour is a steal and would definitely recommend that.
This Thanksgiving nobody wanted to cook so we all decided to go to Blend on the Water where we had great dining! With a nice server, great appetizers and meal ending the night with an awesome warm brownie with vanilla ice cream accompanied by a delicious Sangrita. Giving thanks was natural!
The atmosphere is great! That staff was great. The food is very good. The music is a little loud. So it has an atmosphere for more of a group setting than an intimate couple night. But overall I would recommend this place. I had a good time. The one thing I wish they had more of was more options on the menu to pick from. But I would definitely go back again!
I had an amazing time here with my boyfriend. They seated us super quick and were great about bringing the food out in way that wasn't to slow but we were also able to enjoy our time and not rush. I highly recommend this place and I would suggest valeting the car because parking is hard over there.
