Blast 825 Brewery
Everything was great other than the music is too loud. Unable to hear each other talk
We had a great time ,food and music was great. We will come again soon.
Very disappointing for New Year’s eve dinner. Had reservation but were seated in extra room with recreation center type tables and chairs.
Appetizers came out with meals instead of ahead of meals, food delivered inconsistently by multiple people instead of waitress. Once food delivered no follow up for drinks or dessert, then just handed bill with 20% tip automatically applied. Really not acceptable to add 20% tip For a small party when service was poor.
When we arrived a hostess did not want to honor our reservation. She indicated that too many people have been waiting that didn’t have reservations. She said we would have to wait at least 30 minutes. My friend and I asked what’s the point of taking reservations If they are not honored? She apologized and said we had to wait—we asked to speak to a manager. She shared they were having a problem with OpenTable not notifying them reservations have been made. She quickly cleared a table in the bar area and we were helped right away. It was pretty loud and there were a lot of people there. Live music, and conversation and your typical bar scene. The drinks were good, and the food was okay. My friend was served a burnt sandwich and a server dropped my food. But they replaced both in a timely fashion. The menu was extensive and I would be willing to try it again.
Some of the meals were very good, but two had to be sent back for being extreamly salty. The service is slow and the price is high for pub food.
We made a reservation for eight people and when we arrived it took them 10 minutes to set up the table. All they did was add pre-wrapped silverware and stack the menus on the end of the table. The restaraunt was only about 25% full.
Found this place recently and it's already our favorite place on Orcutt. They do a kid-friendly brunch every other Sunday and our 2 girls loved it. Excited to see what the transition to the pizza oven will bring.
Service was mediocre and the server got our order wrong even after the longer that expected wait for our food.
First visit and we will go back again. Table area was clean and inviting but lighting was minimal. Service was excellent and the waitress was very knowledgeable. Our orders arrived in a very timely fashion and our food was enjoyable.
I can confirm they are open for business. Good food and service, would visit again when in the area.
We missed the old humorous Irish menu! Now it is just like many other chain restaurant menus. The noise level had increased 5-fold. We couldn't hear each other around a table for 5. The appetizers came so slowly that by the time they came the entrees were practically there too. It was a birthday, and had been told upon arrival and in the reservation, but no mention was made of it. Not even a wish for a happy birthday, let alone a birthday candle on the dessert. We used to look forward to coming to Rooney's and bringing guests. I don't think we will go back again.
We made a reservation through Opentable only to find the restaurant was closed. No points for either the restaurant or Opentable
You took a Mother's Day reservation for a restaurant that IS NOT open. We got there on Mother's Day with my 93 year old Mom and Rooney's (which I loved) was sold to a brewery! They were closed for renovations. Try getting a Mother's Day reservation for 7 people on Mother's Day. Didn't happen. VERY DISAPPOINTED at Open Table
We made reservations , drove for 90 minutes and they were closed for construction. Either Rooney's or Open Table screwed up by not posting they were closed for construction. (There was a piece of paper posted on the front door, nice!) What good is technology if you do not use it. Spent our $200 else where.
Been here a lot. This time for lunch. Super quiet during the day. Great service!
Reservation was not honored on time ... ended up sitting at the bar with my 82 year old mother. Easter buffet had great selections. Live music was enjoyable. Sarah the bartender made up for the hostess' inadequacy.
We've always liked Rooneys until we experienced the new menu. It was very limited and the things we liked (sandwiches, chili, etc.) were not available. The brunch menu looked good but is only for Sunday. Too much money and no options for lesser selections.
Rooney's has always been a go to restaurant for a great dinner or lunch, but for whatever reason, the last two visits have been unpleasant. I am not sure if the chef has changed, or possibly the kitchen staff, but both of my fiance's entrees came out cold and the food didn't at all taste the same (in a negative way). There was also a birthday party happening, which is totally understandable, but there were kids running around near our table the entire time. If there was a birthday party happening in the small area that we were seated in, you'd think they would mark that area off and seat us somewhere that was considerably quieter (the restaurant was nearly empty, so there were plenty of seats).
We showed up to a table with less settings than the reservation called for. Service was slow. 2 out of 3 vegetarians ordered the veggie burger which we thought was tainted with meat. The staff denied this, but one of the vegetarians that ordered the burger is such for medical reasons (can't digest meat proteins) and was sick by the time he got halfway home. My husband was the first of honor (his retirement) and his meal was finally received in a to go box as we were paying. Other people were missing sides and we realized after the fact that my daughter kids meal was incomplete as well. We have been here multiple times and each time, the food and service has gotten worse. We won't be back.
Waitress was kind of rude and hardly came to check up on us
WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME. WE WERE PROMPTLY SEATED WHEN WE arrived and best of all got my booth that i requested! SERVERS WERE VERY ATTENTIVE AND THE SPECIALS WERE FANTASTIC.
We were taking a large family group out and needed a good meal quickly. They were available, very friendly, food was great.
Fantastic food and service...noisy tho.
Bangers and mash were awesome.
This was our 2nd experience and this restaurant has quickly become one of our favorites on the Central Coast. We can't wait to return for the wonderful food and beer!
I have been to Rooney's Irish Pub numerous times, but this time was too long in the waiting. We had friends join us for dinner and the 2.5 hours we were there was truly delightful: the cocktails, appetizers, dinner and ambiance can't be beat. Great job!
Very loud! Came to reception desk and waited 8 minutes as she was serving food.
Food was unseasoned and warm at best. Very disappointed.
Had put in my reservation that we were coming for an Anniversary dinner and would like a quiet table. Were seated at a nice table by the fireplace and treated as royalty.. Every person who came to our table wished us a happy anniversary. Food was good, my husband had the corned beef dinner and I had the Tom Dooley (steak with house Mac and Cheese) this was the first restaurant mac and cheese I've had that was worth ordering. Would come here again just for that. Service was great and yet only saw someone when we needed them. The Blond Ale was to die for, smooth and yet very tasty.
Service outstanding by our server. However, food was marginal.
Food was great, service was superb...but the live music volume at 7p was ridiculous and filled every inch of the place making conversation difficult (decor was great, BTW). Save the show for 9p.
Great beers and decent classic pub fare. Service was insanely slow and sporadic, although I suspect there was a staffing problem the night we were there.
Fun and easy going place with great food . The short rib shepherds pie was delicious. The bangers and mash was spot on. We also ordered the house beer which paired perfectly with our dinners. Don't forget to try the over the top yummy Guinness ice cream sundae.
Service was great, food was good. My overall experience was a good one.
Since it's an Irish Pub, you expect a good beer selection. Rooney's had an extraordinary beer selection, including several beers that are their own. Their selection of spirits was likewise excellent. The wine list had some good local selections, but in this wine country, there are other places with better lists. The food was great. Their Rooney burger was the best burger I ever had. Tasty, huge, and with very good quality beef. Didn't have dessert. A great place for dinner, for beer, for drinks and for meeting friends. The place is very large, so you shouldn't have any trouble being seated even without a reservation, though that's always advisable.
Everyone at roonies always goes out of there way to take care of you and the food is fresh and the beer is cold
Super fun 80s dance party with the band the molly ringwald project......
Love this place. Great food and service.
Really enjoyed my first evening at Rooney's with friends and was especially impressed by the Friday inclusion of Clam Chowder as a prelude to the salmon dinner--one of the best since my experience in New England. A sure place to which I'll return when in that area!
The corned beef & cabbage is the best!
Also the chips & dip while you wait are incredible!
The food was great! Service was good, maybe the server was new...but we all got what we ordered. No wait on being seated with a large group of 5 adults and 8 kids! Bottomless mimosas were good and worth the price. Will definately go back. Beats Kay's Kountey Kitchen and their 2 hour wait!
