Blanco Tacos + Tequila - Tucson Ratings and Reviews
We were seated promptly. A few minutes later our beverage order was taken. All 3 if us ordered salads plus shrimp. The shrimp are no longer grilled but boiled or steamed, lessening their flavor. The chopped salad were consistent to previous occasions. We were not asked if we would like guacamole. Our glasses of wine were equally measured.
We’ve dined here twice for happy hour within the last week and have had the same male server both times. While food was spectacular and came out fast, our drinks sat at the bar for quite a while before they were ran to us by someone else. Our server seemed to had forgotten about us a couple times during both experiences and hadn’t checked on us to see how our either food or drinks were tasting. We also watched him spill a couple of chips on the table for the guests sitting next to us and proceed to pick them up with his hands and put them back in the bowl in front of the guests which grossed me out a bit. Super nice server, but perhaps needs a little bit more training and prioritization skills. Both their happy hour and full menu are quite a steal for the quality of food and I’m sure we’ll be back soon!
Made our reservation and as soon as we walked in we were greeted, then sat instantly. Our waitress was very friendly and not over attentive. I feel like drink refills were perfect and her ti.ingredients for checking in was great. We were left alone to talk but knew she'd be there if we needed her. I wish I could remember her name to recommend her, next time I go I'll be sure to get it. As for the food, I was craving plain Ole cheese enchiladas and I was blown away with how original their sauce was. Best tasting enchilada I've had in years. The setting was very modern, lighting was perfect (not to bright, not too dim), only issue I had was actually finding a good parking spot at LA Encantada. Not their fault but parking was crazy. Definetly going back soon!
We've eaten many times at Blanco's. I find it to be pleasant and food fresh. Simple menu. Great place for lunch or an easy simple dinner. I always order fish taco's which are my favorite with extra chipotle sauce on side. Rice is very good. Salsa is very nice. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. I lost count as to how many times I have dined there. Always go back!
We were in Tucson for Christmas week and finished up at Sabino Canyon by lunch and I looked up Open Table restaurants in the general vicinity "on the fly" on our way back to the Ritz Dove Mountain. The restaurant is located in a shopping center but the décor is modern and fun, and the Sonoran Mexican food was delicious. I got a great Mexican salad and my husband got a spicy three taco plate with rice and beans - and both were great. We highly recommend if you happen to be in the area.
We found this restaurant on Trip Advisory and open table. We wanted Mexican food for dinner and we decided to give it a try because it got good reviews. It was so good!!! The server was excellent and very attentive. The food was amazing and we really enjoyed the restaurant. It is definitely a place where we would visit again if we came to Tucson.
We had a good time. We were only disappointed when we received the bill and thought we were getting Happy Hour wine and were charged $22 for two glasses. When we asked the waitress for the happy hour wine she suggested a very expensive wine which we did not know wasn't part of the happy hour prices.
This is my second time at Blanco Tacos & Tequila. The food is good, and I like sitting on the patios. However I made reservations both times, and it seems we still had to wait up to 15 mins for a table. But that won't stop me from returning and referring it to my friends and family.
First, their computer was having problems and rejected my Open Table (just kept spinning)
We got there and had to wait for everything, first for the table, then watch as other tables seated after us got water and chips before we ever saw anyone. actually had to go inside and get the server after a long wait for water and chips and menus. Had to wait and finally flag down another server for water and more chips. service was terrible and almost wants to make me avoid the place - which I used to love.
