Blanco Tacos + Tequila - Tucson
We ate outside on the veranda; busy but nice The mahi on my chopped salad was unexpectedly blackened, but still ok+.
Our meal was delicious as usual. We love going to Blancos for our date night.
Another dependable Fox restaurant. Great menu, service and beverages. Fun laid back place
We had made a last minute reservation and were seated immediately. Our server was very attentive and helpful. My food was pretty good. I ordered a variety of tacos and I really enjoyed the short rib taco, but the Grilled Mahi was bland and I didn't finish it. We also ordered the guacamole that was pretty good, not my favorite but tasty enough. But overall yummy good food and great view on the patio.
Great food, great service... Find that it is consistently a great experience!
The seafood was fresh and the service was great!! The Short Rib Nachos are so Good!!!
Doors opened to a beautiful sunset.
Great food and service
Long wait even with reservations. Seated at terrible table way in back next to gate. Cold, no heaters and slow service
Love the margaritas here! Great place for happy hour with friends!
Have eaten at Blanco, Taco and tequila multiple times. Food is always good and we love the skillet enchiladas. The Grapefruit, Pomegranate margaritas are good too as is the salsa. The views of the mountains around Phoenix are great.
I have been here plenty of times but this one was a flop but not because of the service but the food. I had a seafood bowl special that was way too fishy and overpriced. The baked fish seemed like a bad piece. We also order guacamole and salsa and there was a whole chunk of avocado left in there that we had to smoosh up because it was not ripe. There was also lack of flavor to the guacamole. The salsa there usually has a kick to it but it had nothing but watery tomatoe taste.
Great Margaritas! Great Food, Beautiful patio with city lights.*
I usually love Blanco! However on this visit service was a bit off. Change of shift and change of servers. Seemed stressful for original server but when all smoothed out everything was great. Then one server clearing table next to ours had silverware and salsa bowl falling and sprayed my daughter’s legs and shoes. The waiter apologized...that’s it. When I got home salsa had landed in multiple places on my pants. No manager came by to check on us. It really matters who your servers are in direct relation to your experience. This was the worst experience we have ever had at Blancos.
The food is usually top notch. Today the avocado tacos had used over ripe avocados and burnt them. Yes I returned them and the new order was much better.
Went back two days later and everything ran smoothly and food was great. Maybe there was a substitute cook in the kitchen.
One last item...the table had not been cleaned well...dried tomato skin on table and tortilla crumbs. I watched a waiter/bus person( not sure of his role) wipe a table with a few swipes and never did the entire table.
Our waiter was patient with our food needs (my husband & I eat Low Carb/High Fat Keto). He and the chef were very accommodating.
We were celebrating our daughter’s 25th Birthday & she chose Blanco Taco. She is Vegan & was able to enjoy tacos that fit her dietary needs.
My only disappointment was Blanco Taco does not offer a Vegan/dairy/egg free dessert to celebrate her birthday. Otherwise, 5*s would have been given for Food.
Try the braised short ribs burrito - it was delicious!
It was too noisy for us to chat. The food was just so so. Pretty pricey for 3 mini tacos. Chips and salsa was good. Server was great.
Blanco's Taco is one of my favorite go to restaurants to meet up with friends for Happy hour or just get a dinner without spending a fortune. Food is tasty and plentiful. Love the chipolte fish taco's with black beans and the rice is great.Great Happy hour and service is very good. This time I ordered RED CHILE CHICKEN & POBLANO Quesadilla. No need for sides since it is huge. Very good!
Wow! Food is excellent. Staff and management made our lunch enjoyable. Outside patio with mister was amazing. Very comfortable. Must go!!
Great city views. Excellent service and food. Cocktails excellent.
Active bustling atmosphere without too much noise. Great food with lots of veggie friendly options.
Server screwed up drink order. Pretty simple. Food carriers had no idea where orders went. Food is usually good. But service has gotten worse. Not quite Dennys level but close. Shame. Poor Management. Lost sight why they are in managemen. To manage the room!
We've been to Blanco many times and will definitely be back.
Food and service was good. We went for dinner on Labor Day and it was packed so bear that in mind for any upcoming holiday weekdays.
Service is hit or miss at the bar, and the noise can be deafening. Do not expect to have good conversation here. The happy hour deals, however, are great!
Have enjoyed this restaurant a number of times. The staff is to be commended for their energetic attention to detail. We suspected the kitchen was running behind a bit as our order was taking longer than usual. Our waiter knew this as well, as he dropped a second basket of chips on us without requesting. It was appreciated. The food is always consistently good. The only minor complaint is that the noise level inhibits conversation.
We just came there for happy hour but I have been there many times. It’s a great place and the sunset view is wonderful. Our waitress Mary was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed some of the handcrafted cocktails and some chips with guacamole beans and cheese sauce and a couple chicken tacos. Everything was great I highly recommend this place
Blanco is a nice place to get consistently good food and drinks (I'm a fan of the passion fruit tea). The outside seating provides nice views of the city after doing some shopping.
We dined on 8-29 during happy hour.
Wife claims one of the better classic margaritas in town. I have no opinion since I do not drink alcohol. We both like their chips. Salsa? Pedestrian.
We always get the tacos. Quality of the avocado and pork ones is consistently very good. The quality of Mahi tacos is usually good, but it varies depending on doneness and freshness. Fish was overcooked (common error at many restaurants) on 8-29 and tasted "fishy" (a cardinal sin) too; hence, the two-star rating for the visit.
We will return, but caveat emptor on the Mahi tacos.
Blanco’s was fun, as always!!! Excellent service. Food was good and consistent. Beautiful sunset view on the patio!!!
We made reservations and our table wasn’t ready when we arrived. We had to wait an additional fifteen minutes, so why did I make reservations? When the restaurant called to confirm, I requested a table by the railings and they said no problem. Sadly, they didn’t have a table reserved for us but had tables reserved for two big parties that were an hour ahead of us so they didn’t want to sit us by the railings because of the two big parties. The manager of the hostesses came out to tell us more excuses and only wanted to shake my husbands hand (big mistake being she was a female as well) after apologizing for the confusion. This restaurant really needs to rethink their process. The stupid hostess stand is in the middle of the restaurant and one side of the patio has a consistent line of people. Not a great ambiance for a restaurant at la encantada. Or I would have to say, the lines are due to poor management, probably because the hostess manager doesn’t know what she’s doing. The food is ok....step up from chipotle I would say. After being treated badly and the restaurant not committed to our reservation time, I don’t think we will be back. Tucson has too many good restaurants to settle on this expensive chipotle with rude managers.
We made reservations for indoor seating and were seated outside. When we asked for indoor seating they said we would have to wait a 1/2 hour. Server wore a fake smile and was not friendly at all. The outdoor deck had a huge party with tons of kids running around. Will never go back. Food was ok but not worth the price we paid to have such a poor experience.
The restaurant itself was great; very busy, energetic, and efficient. Had great outdoor and indoor seating options. Happy hour prices were great but wish they offered more food options. Happy hour house margaritas were strong and delicious. Tacos were pretty small and had very little meat; the carne asada tacos really didn’t have any flavor. They were very accommodating with dietary needs.
Food is absolutely delicious, but the kitchen is slow. Service is good during the day but bad at night. Good view of the city. Kind of hip, kind of business-y. Great for lunch with friends or co-workers.
Blanco Tacos is a favorite of mine. Food is always delicious and the service is very attentive.
We always go to Blanco's when in Tucson. Food and service are always outstanding!
Service was great and staff was friendly. The tacos were outstanding.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! The food was excellent, and great value for the excellent quality of ingredients. We sat on the patio during a thunderstorm, and so we were very impressed with the adaptability of the outside walls to protect from the elements while still allowing the view. Tasty cocktails too. We so appreciate the ability to make reservations. We will be back!
My husband and I love Blanco for the food, the drinks and for the great atmosphere.
Excellent food, very nice server. Just a bit loud, still would recommend and eat there again
We really enjoy eating at Blancos, friendly staff and great food. Very noisy, and tables are too close for private conversation.
