Blanco Tacos + Tequila - Tucson
This is a great restaurant. Wonderful ambiance. Good food and drinks. Services is also great. But, it's not a $$ restaurant, more like a $$$-$$$$. And it's probably worth it, but it's a bit of a surprise
Not as good as usual. Waited almost one hour to get our food and it was cold. They also changed their black beans. They are no longer whole, they’re mashed?
The service was a little slow this time and the cheese enchilada plates were only Luke warm. We were a little disappointed this time compared to earlier visits. We had called ahead to indicate we were celebrating a birthday and mentioned it again as we arrived but there was no recognition of the event by the server. On a positive note, the bbq cheese crisp appetizer was excellent.
Great Food. Great Service. Our Go To place
for great Food. Great service. Beautiful View!!
worst dinner I have ever had, made a reservation for 8:30 and were not seated until much past 9:00, out food didnt come until 10:00. will not be eating here again.
Everyone in our party got sick after eating there
Changed table to inside due to heat. Despite early hour noise level was so bad we could not have a conversation. Tacos tiny. Very disappointing. Will not go back.
Excellent service, not rushed or phony.
food was delivered in a timely way and was delicious.
ambiance enjoyable outside.
Great patio for lunch on a sunny warm day.
Food is consistently good here. You can't go wrong with any of the taco plates. Tortilla soup is a little different, but good. Service is top notch.
Apparently blanco is no longer a fox restaurant and was bought out by Cheesecake Factory. They changed the menu and it’s noticeable! It used to be really good and we loved their guacamole and cheese crisps as well as the tacos, salads, and soups. My tortilla soup was completely inedible and way too salty! I hope that they go back to the original recipes and menu or we are not going back anytime soon 😢
The views from Blanco are absolutely amazing and the Happy Hour is one of the best around. We love all the food and the setting.
Our waiter Johnny was outstanding very attentive. Made our dining experience even more enjoyable. He represents your restaurant well.
We had decided to look into eating here after we noticed it while dining at another restaurant in the plaza. The menu looked great and the prices fair so tonight we finally went. It was not a bad choice at all! They place was packed so service was a little slow as should be expected as busy as they were. Our server was very friendly and amazingly attentive for as busy as the place was. The food was delicious! I had the Mahi tacos with their magical rice and black beans, hubby had the chicken burrito rice and beans. Both were great, I stole some of that delicious rice he was neglecting due to being so full. Can not wait to come again!
Great dining experience, thanks to Sonora Restaurant Week for nudging me in Blanco's direction. (That offer was awesome - do it again next year please!) The food choices were great, as was the server's recommendations - spot on. Hadn't been before but will now add this to my list of dining out "go to" spots.
On a very busy night due to it being a Friday and restaurant week, the food and service was some of the best I've had here. Our waitress was excellent.
A bit too much salt in the carne asada tacos for my taste
We picked Blanco's to enjoy their Sonoran Restaurant Week offerings. For their three course combination, we chose Guacamole - Green Chile Pork Enchiladas - Mexican Chocolate Cake. It was a winning choice and every course was delicious. Despite Blanco's humming with crowd-crushing activity, Emerson (our server) was absolutely superb. Her speedy, flawless attention to our every need made for a great dining experience. We recommend that she be immediately promoted to head server! Thanks Blanco's for a most enjoyable evening.
I want to say our server was absolutely awesome and the food delicious.
Although this restaurant has a great view and good margaritas- I can't recommend the food. The main flavor was salt. It was watered down Mexican- not flavorful at all.
Initially, it was quite nice. However, as the diners increased, the noise level of other diners significantly interfered with our experience. The server was very inattentive and didn't seem to know what was available on the menu.
not wheelchair accessible noisx
It was a great time. The carne asada tacos were fantastic as was the warm queso and Mexican Chocolate cake was to die for! This was our first visit however it will not be our last the only down side was it was loud in the dinning area. If it is cooler next time that patio would be great to set at.
The tacos were pretty salty (and I love salt)-so if it’s too much for me, it’s salty! The waiter ran my credit card for another persons table. In the end they fixed it, but I didn’t appreciate the inconvenience.
Blanco Taco is our FAVORITE Mexican restaurant in Tucson. Great menu, margaritas and service!!
Great restaurant!! Food and service was excellent!! I was moving my son back to UofA and will always make a visit to Blanco when in Tucson!!
This place has some of the best Mexican food. Tacos are amazing and so is the queso! Margaritas are made with good quality tequila and it’s one of my favorite places to go eat.
Unfortunately they are always super busy so it’s hard to get a table and sitting outside is not ideal in this heat during summer. The service was very slow during our last visit and with it being so hot out we were kind of miserable. Definitely would recommend coming during their non peak time and not with more than 2 people so you can get in quicker.
Excellent food and service. We eat here every time we are in Tucson!
1 time my family comes to see me in Tucson so I took them to Blanco so they could see the city. Live the outside seating and food.
My fiancé and I went to Blanco Tacos and Tequila on a weekend getaway. The food was amazing! Probably the best tacos I’ve had. The drinks were decent, but a little overpriced. The service was great, but it was a little loud. Overall, I think it’s a great place for a date night or a night out with friends.
We enjoyed our time with the staff, food, and view. Ashley, our server, was exceptional at describing the menu, food and drinks. Her suggestions were spot on and her warm personality made eating here fun. The cheese crisp is great, and chocolate cake Desert was delicious.
Staff were prompt and polite, allowed us to go window shopping until table ready and then called to let us know.
Love the food and service is excellent but so noisy and chaotic.
Great food and service
A little loud, but quick service and tasty food.
Food was much better before. It is still good, but not like it was. Elote is not good anymore. Ised to be very good.
When visiting La Encantada "mall" and wanting a touch of Mexican style food, Blanco's has a small selection of offerings. They also have beers and margaritas, which helps the experience. The place is loud, loud, loud and while the outside patio is brimming with shade screens and misters, in July and August it's too humid to escape there.
The food selections are not as varied as, say, a pure Mexican restaurant, or even Taco Bell. They don't offer refried beans. The portions are generous, which makes up for the lack of a variety. Service is hit and miss depending on which server you get and how overbooked they are. The busier the place, expect to wait for a table, wait for a server, wait for your drinks and appetizers, and wait for your meal.
There is a bar in the center of the place, and that's where the people who sit can order drinks, and the one working bartender will respond to them, delaying tableside drinks. This is also where you go to pick up orders, so if you wanted to skip a wait be prepared to wait at the bar for the one working bartender to serve the tipping bar customers long before getting you your now-not-so-hot bag of food.
Guacamole is fantastic. Fajitas are too. If you can avoid their beans do so. It's worth a try but set your expectations low. After all, it's not even Fox Restaurant Concepts anymore, it's owned by Cheesecake Factory. (The irony, of course, is that Cheesecake Factory has the most variety of any chain menu...)
Everything was Okay, except the service; it was awesome! Best part was being out with my wife, but dinner was a close second.
The place is great. Just be aware that if you make a reservation online, it does not have a spot to choose inside vs outside and they automatically seat you outside. You have to write in the “special requests” box that you want to sit inside. They still get 5 stars though because they agreed to move our party indoors once s table opened up. They need to change their online reservation website options.
Great food, great service great atmosphere. Bbq pulled pork tacos are amazing
Great tacos and burritos. Loved the chips and salsa. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
