Having my 28th Birthday on a thursday was phenomenal! The manger on duty made my dessert treat amazing and was a cheerful giver for the special surprise of dessert! The Server was a doll and educated the menu so simple and sweet and sold us all out on all the sections u had avail for food. Thank you for having employees like them!
One area of the restaurant was open for seating due to limited wait staff. All the patrons were crammed into one area. When we ask to be seated somewhere else we were told the only option was outside (104 degrees in Phoenix) . The tacos we ordered tasted like meat was old.....we were not impressed with service or food.....we will not return nor recommend to others.
The food was delicious! Our server, Cory, was helpful, attentive and recommended a perfect margarita for me! Also the guacamole was amazing! We will definitely be back and bring friends!
Fun menu. Loved their queso dip. I had a braised chicken bowl. Nothing really unique about it but it was good. My other half had the bbq pork tacos. They were really good with the pickled onions. Margaritas were very good as well. The atmosphere was colorful. Our server was very polite and attentive without being too attentive. Overall, we had a great experience here. I definitely recommend.
Food is always tasty. But the service was confused - our waitress was good, but the others helping out didn't seem to know what was going on. And there just weren't enough people to do a very good job. The noise level was not energetic. It was deafening.
Great waitress. Pork tacos were amazing. Queso good.
We always enjoy Blanco. We had a short rib cheese crisp, a Mexican chopped salad and a taco platter. The food seemed a little different than we've had before. The short ribs were bigger chunks and not spread out as much with large onion pieces, which is the one thing we didn't like as much but it was still good!
Food was great service was slow.
Excellent food and fantastic service Keep up the great job
Green chili pork bowl, meat was fatty and lacked flavor
Cheese enchiladas were good, red sauce was good and they layered in a small cast iron skillet, nice presentation
We have been here many times and the food is always good and consistant. This visit, however, ranks pretty low. The service was lacking and very slow. We arrived before the evening rush started so our server didn't have a full area. She had a very flippant attitude and communication from her was curt. Then we received the food and it looked like they just slapped it on the dish and sent it out of the kitchen. Two of us had salads and the lettuce was brown and very wilted. I hate spending a lot of $$ on wilted/ brown lettuce! We requested the dressing on the side and they both came out swimming. It also took forever to get water refills - which is a big no no when you are eating salsa! Very disappointed in this visit but will try again.
Came here for a bday dinner. Service was great the food and drinks were as well. Highly recommend the aces over eights margarita.
Everything was so fresh and tasty. Server was really friendly, super helpful in picking amazing choices and explaining the menu.
Can not go wrong with any item on the menu. The Mexican salad is one of my favorites.
Food was great, service was great. Our waitress was on top of refills and checking in. Food didn’t take very long to come out either. Definitely going to back
Food was great but this was the second time here in the last year where we have had subpar service. We had reservations for 4 and were seated while we waited for one other in our party to arrive. We didn't have silverware for all parties and the guest that arrived 5 minutes after we were seated had to wait another 5 minutes for water and never received a menu. We also had to wait another 5 minutes for the last person in our party to put in a drink order and we waited for someone to refill our chips (which didn't happen until after our meal was practically over and we were already full). Our waters were not filled throughout dinner but the food is very good which is why we still come here.
First time at Blanco Tacos and we'll definitely return. Arrived during happy hour so the $5 margarita and sangria were tasty and well worth the $. We ordered the dips for appetizers to accompany the complimentary chips. Tasty guacamole, bean dip and queso. Dinner for my partner was BBQ pork lightly spicy, fresh flavors, perfectly prepared shrimp. It was a cold & very satisfying small salad-type dish. We'd both order our choices again. Dining on the patio was comfortable and allowed us to escape the very loud music and chatter inside. Jordan was our very congenial and efficient server who made great tasting suggestions. She was a great asset to our dining experience.
My daughters 20th Birthday, our server bought her a banana split on the house, so sweet!!!! All of the food was outstanding, service great, beautiful night outside!!
Good food and great outdoor seating. Wonderful happy hour menu
We arrived promptly for our 7:15 PM reservation, we’re seated, and after a few minutes were greeted . Everything was fine, we were chatting while waiting for our drinks and looking over the menu, when we started to get longer, and longer. We looked around, the patio is not very full, and the restaurant was not either. We did not see our server for a while, and she came by walk to another table, Was taking other guest orders, and we were still waiting for our drinks. 15 minutes go bye, and we are looking around for her, trying to signal, and she just keeps going and doesn’t bother to come over to us, either to take our order, or to update us about our drinks. So at this point, it is getting closer to 20 to 30 minutes and we decide to go over to the bar ourselves, to switch seats and hopefully get our drinks. When we get to the bar, we informed the bartender that we were sitting on the patio for a very long time with no drinks, to which she promptly replies that the drinks have been sitting there for a while and she was wondering about them. So, we are clearly a bit upset and she ops to call the manager over and hands us our drinks. We inform them that we will sit at the bar in order there, hoping to get faster service. At this point we are really pretty hungry, but now the manager comes over and is talking to us, and we still have not yet ordered. We finally order, manager is a young guy, just keep talking to us, but not really offering any way to reconcile, other than buying us our drinks. The staff is pretty inexperienced it seems. Took another 20 minutes for food to come out, I guess they did not expedite it, and it just stay in queue in the order it was received.
The tacos and enchiladas were pretty good, once we finally got them, but obviously it put quite a damper on your evening with the experience.
Service was great but I noticed you guys need more people helping outside patio. The food is ok, expensive for what we got. Flavor ok.
Worst service we have got with our food taking forever, missing items that were ordered and missing the old menu. Very disappointed...we come here at least twice a month and may need to change up our routine
Salsa was different this time...not as good😐
I used to be a huge fan of this place and visited frequently (2-3 times per month for several years). Recently they changed their menu and it's really not good! Their happy hour used to be amazing with an assortment of drinks and now all you can choose from is some mediocre sangria or a truly unpleasant basic margarita. Why mess with a wonderful thing after so long? I will not be returning.
Great place to eat. Food is fresh and yummy.
Service on Sunday nights has been off the last few times we’ve been there. Love their food...will try not going on sundays:-/
All staff made us feel like we were being rushed out of the restaurant. Pretty ironic seeing as how the restaurant was half empty. Our waitress was pretty nasty to say the least. We’ve been to the other location in Scottsdale, the Biltmore location could take a lesson from them!!!!
I’m so sad that Blanco has changed so many of their menu items. The cheese dip is not as tasty, the black beans are not as fresh, the Mahi tacos (a personal fave) were dry and over cooked. I’m hoping this visit was a fluke, but one of my favorite places to dine in Phoenix was a complete letdown this weekend.
The atmosphere was fun and awesome. Service was tremendous. Can’t wait to go again!!
Super sad that u changed salsa. Not a fan of new salsa. We won’t be back
Easy. Relaxed. Communal. Worth it. The queso was smooth and delicious... I don’t like queso.
Have been a frequent customer and found out that they change their salsa! So disappointed. The old salsa was way better and made blancos different from the rest of the Mexican restaurants. Portions are also smaller now.
I was there for a business luncheon. The food was Fabulous, the server was fantastic, the noise level was a little loud. Overall great experience!
We enjoyed dinner on their patio.
We’ve been to Blanco’s more times than I can count. We bring all the people that come to visit us because we know the food will be delicious and the service will be just as good! Don’t hesitate. Just go.
The service was not good. One of the entrees was a salad with chicken and it came out without the chicken. We asked the waiter to make sure we weren’t charged for the chicken and they very nicely took the salad off of the bill. We had ordered a side of cheese for the fajitas that came well after we were finished with the meal even after reminding the waiter twice that we didn’t get it. The margaritas were below average, as well. Overall a very disappointing restaurant experience.
