Blade - Fontainebleau Miami Beach
Blade’s menu is comprised of dishes strong on traditional Asian flavors as well as modern, creative takes on classic rolls, tartares and carpaccios.
There is a succinct but well curated selection of sakes by the glass and bottle as well as a selection of Japanese beers; and of course, diners can order cocktails and wines by the glass or bottle from Vida’s comprehensive beverage menu.

Service was great. Seating time was great.
Always a great meal. The sushi is fresh and yummy. Every time I am here, I think the menu is too limited, but when the food comes it is spectacular. The Bleau Roll is 4 star!
Impeccable service, decent ambience, but ordinary menu options. Servers are kind and attentive. The physical menu will wow you as it glows in your face in the very low-lit restaurant. Portions are small and the sushi dissapoint with high rice ratios. The steakhouse across the hall was better. I rather favored the prepackaged salad and deserts at Chez Bon-Bon again over a dinner at Blade.
Trying to combine two restaurants Lido and Blade didn’t mesh well. It felt like we were at a hotel buffet area rather than the vibe we expected. Service due to this is awkward and more like an IHOP than a high end restaurant. Should have gone to Hakkesan.
Hotel restaurant. Good food and casual. Excellent service.
Picked this restaurant over Nobu (next door) because it was rated higher. It certainly wasn’t terrible but I am extremely dubious this place was better than Nobu. In terms of value, this was an average sushi restaurant but priced as though it was exclusive.
Great sushi in a relaxed but nice atmosphere
Very fresh prepared seafood and very kind service team. I enjoyed my stay very much :-)
My waiter just can’t remember what I ordered, and ordering the food took almost 45 mins
Emeline and Keith were great as usual.
Seafood appetizer tower was great.
NY Strip Steaks were excellent.
Wonderful experience. Food, service, atmosphere...all wonderful. Beautiful location inside the Fountainebleau hotel. We will be back!
Nice restaurant. Sushi was good. Price maybe a little high.
Delicious sushi and great service! Will definitely return!
I have a number of dietary restrictions, including celiac disease, which can result in an unpleasant hospital trip if I eat something "unsafe". I called ahead, spoke to the manager (Rafii), and was assured that the restaurant would do their best to accommodate my needs. This was the biggest understatement possible. Not only did the manager come to our table and assist the server throughout the meal (talk about teamwork!), but the chef himself came to my table to find out exactly what I needed, answer my questions, and adapt an existing menu item to match my needs. The meal and cocktails were incredible, as was the service. If anyone is interested in recommendations: my husband had the Blade specialty roll and I had the Ronin. Both were fresh, unique, and expertly crafted.
After dinner, my husband (who has no dietary restrictions) ordered a dessert for himself off of the menu. Not wanting me to feel left out, Rafii asked the server to run to the nearby bakery to grab a "safe" treat for me to enjoy as well. Needless to say, we will definitely be returning to Blade on our next trip to Miami Beach. Thank you to the entire team who made this experience unforgettable!!! It is so refreshing to see a team like Blade's, which functions as a unit and treats dietary restrictions and food allergies with the utmost seriousness.
Great special rolls, lots of flavors and excellent service.
Deterioration. People in flipflops and shorts. The sushi bar was a mess--thats the first thing you see and the chairs were all over the place. The servers were nice, but got a lot wrong several times. The maitre d's were dialing it in. The food was excellent, but there is a risk that the kitchen will lose its inspiration/will to be perfect given the mess outside. In general, the lobby of the Fountainbleu looked like a bus station. People were getting pizza deliveries. Makes me sad-it used to be semi-glamorous and fun to people watch all year round. Now its just trashy. Ironically, the hotel spends a lot of money on its "hardware".
Un bon resto (assez cher) dans une ambiance moderne
Great sushi. The chefs choice for sushi was on spot.
We did the nigiri tasting, shared one seaweed salad and one small cold sake. 16 pieces of nigiri, while delicious, should never run $200 all-in. Service was impeccable, sushi was delicious, just can’t get over the price.
Everything was good
Delicious food; especially the sushi. Try the surf and turf sushi roll! Incredible ! Great service too.
Fun and tasty cool vibe
Friendly service, tasty drinks, excellent meal. WE enjoyed Blade very much.
Food was excellent a little pricy but delicious
The customer service was amazing . I asked were the restrooms were and the manager had a person escort me . 2 different supervisors checked in to make sure everything was good . I was dining alone but had plenty of attention . Food was creative and very well prepared and presented . Great wine list and fantastic desserts . Very enjoyable visit and will be back .
Friendly, attentive and unpretentious service. Very good sushi with excellent special rolls as well as Japanese staples such as tempura and miso soup. Restaurant location is fun, at the end of the buzzing Fontainbleu "food hall" where there is great people watching. The restaurant itself is peaceful, dim and elegant.
Average food. Sterile atmosphere. Overpriced. Plain tasting sushi
Great service but very disappointing ambience
Not a authentic sushi restaurant they try too hard very expensive and food was “eh” food forchildren came from other hotel restaurant and very mediocre I would not recommend this restaurant
Excellent menu and food. The surf and turf was fantastic! Great service as well.
This was our first time at Blade and we were pleasantly surprised. Very intimate environment, even with another restaurant on the other side of the location. Friendly and attentive customer service and great quality sushi. We had the 5 sushi platter as an appetizer and it was delicious and incredibly fresh. Would definitely go back!
Chef was great, came out to introduce himself. We came for my birthday from Sarasota for the Omekase. The rice wasn't flavorful like sushi rice normally is. Quality of fish slightly above average, but definitely not the highest quality I would have expected for Omekase. Some of the selections tasted very fishy, and not in a pleasant way. Ambience does not lend itself to Japanese sushi experience. We had sake pairing and had to ask for more detailed explanation of what each one was. Also would have been nice to have been told which sake to pair with what fish. Server and staff friendly.
IT WAS BEYOND PERFECT! The greatest, freshest sushi I've ever had! Skirt steak was amazing! Loved it!!
Not busy when we dined. Slow service. Food was just ok and definitely way overpriced given the overall experience. Won't be back.
I've mentioned to the hostess that this was my absolute favorite sushi experience!
Overall nice modern casual ambiance and even if restaurant was full it wasn't noisy. The Japanese menu was also very good and both my husband and I enjoyed it for our anniversary dinner.
Blade was great the hotel is so chessy. Awful crowd.
