I had the Southwest Chicken Salad. It was a beautiful dish with fresh ingredients and an excellent meal. The other mail that was ordered was the Grilled Chicken however, the Chicken was tough and we should have asked for a steak knife. Our server was Peter and he was excellent.
Excellent food, service, ambiance. Beautiful decor. Wait staff was polite, attentive, knowledgeable.
This is our second Girls Trip visit to Blackwall Hitch - Rehoboth and it did not disappoint. From our favorite the flaming Crab Dip, the amazing Dirty Hitch martini, and the phenomenal crab cakes. Our server Isaac or Ike was entertaining and enhanced our dining experience. We look forward to the next visit!
We had a very enjoyable dinner with friends at Blackwall Hitch. The food wasd very good but the service was outstanding. Our server, Ike, was the best! We will request Ike the next time we go.
We always enjoy the Blackwell Hitch. Good atmosphere, food & service. Nice being able to eat outside on such a lovely day. Our server, Briana, was exceptional.
Such an awesome brunch meal. The food and atmosphere was outstanding. It was Rehoboth Jazz Festival weekend. So the added perk of a brunch with a very good jazz group was a good experience.
The live jazz music was totally awesome. The good was a lil disappointing, The waffles were cold & the cheesy grits weren’t good at all..
First of all the jazz group was totally awesome! The restaurant seemed short-handed, but the staff was exceptional. We enjoyed music and food.
Excellent service. They forgot to give us our appetizer- the manager on duty came over and apologized- gave all of us free desserts and coffee on the house. Loved the hospitality ❤️
The food was tasty for the price. The jazz musicians were great for Rehoboth Jazz Weekend. The nice part they didn't have a cover charge.
Great food and wonderful server. Jazz band was nice (a little loud) but enjoyable.
Isaac was wonderful and the food, as always, was exceptional!!
Four of us had lunch. The food was good and the seats outside were great on a warm October day. Our server was trying very hard but we could tell that she was not the most experienced server. Having said that we enjoyed her and it did not hurt the overall experience.
Fried Green Tomatoes, Shobb Salad an s Shrimp Tacos were all excellent. Crab Soup was over priced for a cup that that called a bowl. It was very salty and not much Crab. Our Server was very attentive and nice, but the Manager was a bit uneasy and stand offish which gave a weird vibe to the interaction.
Everything was awesome. Food, Service, Drinks. Our server was great, he had so many tables to attend to, yet made time to check on us, several times.
Very good food (except the asparagus). Great service…a little noisy but nice to be out again!
Waitress was lovely. Very sweet. Very attentive
Always a great meal and the Jazz brunch should not be missed.
Server was very good Ike
Food & drinks very good
We went out for our Anniversary Dinner and we're seated right away in the modern dining room. Our Server ISSAIC or Ike he said stopped and greeted us immediately with a warm welcome and promptly returned moments later.
We started off with Prosecco on the house and Ike explained in detail the menu. The food was amazing good and the mains were delicious. Crab cakes were amazing as was our dessert.
Reasonably priced great service and attentive as he was on top of his game making our night a memorable one. Like Arnold said I'll be back!!!!
It was good but I would not repeat for brunch… dinner and drinks I look forward to trying
I had a wonderful time celebrating my boyfriends birthday this weekend. This was a total random pick and it did NOT disappoint. When we got there it was rather very busy and there was nowhere to be found in the hostess stand which was understandable seeing as how it was all hands on deck on a weekend and it was very very busy. The wait was bearable and after we were seated I could tell that there was some legit teamwork going on. Everybody was helping everybody out with each other’s table and bringing out their food and really making sure everybody’s experience was top notch. The food was top notch and would totally recommend and will definitely be coming back again. I got the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and spinach with a side of rice and my boyfriend got the fried shrimp, for apps we also got their chicken wings; all were delish & that’s coming from an Uber picky eater like myself!
My husband and I had a wonderful dinner! We decided to sit at the bar due to what seemed to be staff shortages, so we figured we'd skip our reserved table. The bartender was great! I'm so sorry not to remember his name. Our food was nothing short of fabulous! These days, we all need to have patience and flexibility when going out and adjust expectations accordingly. A perfectly delightful evening!
Good sandwiches according to others in my party. My ahi salad was ok although the mango was not ripe. I would go back again for a casual lunch or brunch, but not dinner
We had a lovely dinner outside last night at Blackwall Hitch. Delicious food, wonderful service, with a gentle breeze off the ocean. The menu has something for everyone. My husband especially liked the seafood flatbread! We'll definitely be back!
Food was the highlight, much better than expected. Service was off and social distancing was non existent. Would recommend takeout.
When my wife and I ate here recently they were operating with one server and one bartender for the entire restaurant. Even with minimal help, our server Margaret brought our food out as quickly as she could and with no errors. In a situation that could have gone south very easily, she remained in high spirits and performed her job at a high level.
We first visited this restaurant in June. It was so outstanding we came here two nights in a row. Love the menu. We live in Arizona and are back in Delaware visiting family. We had to return. This restaurant will be added to our annual beach visit. A nice variety of menu items. Great for all palates from adult to children.
We had 2 amazing dinners at Blackwall Hitch this week. My wife and I had such a great dinner that we invited 4 other people to join us for dinner on Saturday evening.
the daily catch - Blacked swordfish was perfectly prepared and delicious. The flatbreads and the scallops dinner were also excellent.
Rockfish was way over cooked and crab meat was charred black from sitting under broiler for too long. Prices were expensive.
Some of the fish was over cooked. Especially the Mahi Mahi
My wife and I had seen but never tried this restaurant and were looking forward to a dinner on the Rehoboth Avenue sidewalk. The restaurant appeared to be seriously understaffed, as we waited 10-15 minutes until a server came to our table. She acknowledged the lack of personnel. With that behind us, we ordered a bottle of wine and our dinner. We anticipated long waits for food but were pleasantly surprised by getting our appetizers and salads fairly quickly. The mussels and caprese and Arcadian harvest salads were very good. For entrees, my wife had the trident combo (salmon, shrimp and crab cake), which was fine but nothing special, while my Chilean sea bass had some kind of oily substance on it that left a bad after taste. If we had stopped at wine and appetizers, I would have given the experience 3 stars. But adding the entrees, the high "Rehoboth" prices and the poor service made this restaurant a 1 star experience. Blackwall prices itself near the top of the scale of RB restaurants but does not deliver the food and service to go with it.
Exceptional food and service- the scallops were perfectly cooked and the swordfish was as well. Nice sized portions and the server was attentive to our needs
Bartender got the drink order wrong. Then no substitute for the potatoes as requested with no offer to correct it. Our bill was given to another table who was charged for it. When we found out we warned them to check the credit card statement. Food was lousy dry heavily breaded calamari. Dry crab cake and salmon. Needed a senior manager to take charge. The kids working there lacked the experience
Exceeded my expectations! From a quick seating to an attentive waiter the service was fantastic! The menu had a nice selection of starters and entrees. Try one of the flatbreads - deliciousness! Everything was beautifully plated and the food outstanding. Firecracker Shrimp tacos are a must try! Salmon cooked to perfection served with shrimp and a crab cake. Definitely recommend.
Food was excellent along with server Ike. Great experience
Food as always was excellent, service was attentive but not hurried We were able to get outside seating and it was a beautiful night. My out of town guests were delighted and looking forward to returning.
Blackwall Hitch Rehoboth is a wonderful place for q leisurely lunch or dinner. The food is great and the service is excellent. We have eaten there several times, and each experience has been memorable. The seafood is always superb. We will gladly return during our next visit to Rehoboth!
Not sure why the interior lighting was lit up like a Kmart. Also, for an 8:45 reservation there was no bar service….we wanted cocktails with our dinner.
