We had a great night. Started with a round of very good drinks followed by dinner. The service was great and the food was delicious. This is one of our regular stops and it doesn’t disappoint

brunch buffet was fair at best. - seems management assumes no responsibily for over sight. decent selection, but all dry and luke warm. pleasant server but far from attentive. value would have been ok, IF the food was hot and properly cooked. ( in restrospect, may have been left there since the first seating, 2 hours before) only replenished selections if requested. would recommend a serious review of managment.

Our waiter was really on his toes. The daily shipment of oysters was late to arrive so we had to change an order. As our food was being prepared, the oyster vendor showed up and our waiter saw to it that we were on top of the list. Note to bartender: how about some porter on tap?

Enjoyed thanksgiving Buffet. Service was fantastic, servers have great personality and work very hard. Food was pretty good and there was plenty of choices and options on the buffet.

We dined for Thanksgiving. It felt like the a/c was on and when the front door opened you got an icy blast as it was only in the 20's outdoors. The food was cold and there were no cranberry sauce or gravy. For the exorbitant price we paid I expected more. Next year we will definitely go to another place.

We had Thanksgiving dinner here last year and it was spectacular; however, this year was extremely disappointing and more expensive. First, the place was absolutely freezing and everytime the front door opened, another arctic blast blew in. Secondly, the quality of the food was barely mediocre - some was overcooked, the meat was just blah, the sides ok etc. I must say the desserts were very good. The service was very good although since it was a buffet, we served ourselves. Finally, the reservation was for 12:15 which was the only available table until after 4 pm or so we were told; however, the place was only 20% full during our whole dinner. It was a disappointing holiday dinner which cost almost $150 for 2 people with drinks, etc. I will not return to Blackwall Hitch as a result of this experience which is too bad since it originally seemed like a pretty good restaurant.

Blackwall Hitch is a nice special occasion or summer lunch venue. Their food is adequate to very good but not outstanding. I imagine that with the various tastes, they can't season their food as I do with my at home cooking. The staff was punctual and friendly and we were happy to have a Thanksgiving meal there.

First time my wife and I ate at this restaurant. The service was good, the Caesar salad was typical, but not exceptional. The bone-in pork chop entree was good and fairly priced. Because it was served on a wooden "cutting board" that most likely had been cleaned with a bleach solution, chlorine was tasted in some of the food. The braised beef with noodles and vegetables in a gorgonzola sauce, diappointed for two reasons: it was mostly noodles in a surprisingly bland sauce. The beef was more of a garnish and the dish was overpriced as a entree that wasn't listed as a "pasta entree" , but essentially was.

I have eaten here a few times before and enjoyed it. However Tuesday was not a good experience. To begin there is no way to find your hours of operation not online, not by phone, and not by a sign on the door (which by the way is a violation of the Alcoholic Beverage Control rules). When we arrived the front door was open (11:45am) however no one was at the front desk. Finally got the bartender's attention and he said "we do not open until 12 o'clock". No pleasantries like but have a seat, may I get your something while you wait? We took a seat anyway. The cocktail table had not been cleaned from the night before and was wet and sticky. Finally got to the table. Food was mediocre, soup was cold, asked to be reheated and was just as cold the send time-gave up on the soup. Entrée was ok. Have my doubts about returning for another meal anytime soon.

We had a lovely server. The food was reasonably priced. However the meal Became an unpleasant experience because other servers started cleaning up their stations all around us, clanging brooms dust pans, etc. while we were trying to enjoy our meal. It was not even 830 on a Friday night when this occurred. Made a reservation for Friday night specifically for the prime rib special. Walked in, nobody was in the front to greet us. Waited at least 5 mins for someone to coma and seat us. Then we are told they’re out of prime rib. We decided to stay anyway ( big mistake ) we ordered drinks , my wife’s drink had a nat floating in it. We told the waiter and he apologized and went to bring another drink. It took 15 mins to get a new one. The food was cold and no where near worth the price. It was not busy. There was no reason to be out of prime rib, serve a drink with a dead bug in it or for our food to be cold.

Entire restaurant needs to be cleaned - floor is slippery (which makes me think they just wash it with mop and water). Also bathroom area and hallway to bathroom was dirty. I understand it suppose to remind us of a bar at a hitching post - just did not instill confidence in cleanliness in food prep if rest area is uncleanily. Wanted to love it and will try it again - be before recommending it to friend would work them of atmosphere

Worst meal in a very long time. All six of our party were terribly disappointed with our dinners. The menu did not describe the dishes accurately, thye food was not to temperature, the waitstaff was disinterested and officious. Clearly, the kitchen did not know what it was doing. One example: my dinner; caesar salad (almost completely undressed, as were the other three served), shrimp scampi over linguine...served lukewarm with pappardelle stuck together with a pittance of sauce which tasted like it was poured from a commercial source, not made in the kitchen, to cover the 4 medium shrimp. There was no butter, garlic or winw flavor present. When I mentioned the lack of garlic, the hostess brought over a tablespoon of cruched raw garlic. They simply couldn't have cared less. You get the picture, so I will not describe the other pointless and worthless dished served that night. Going hungry would have been preferable!

The only reason I stayed was a server named "Isaac". Should have walked out the door when the hostesses looked liked she wanted to go Starbucks. The hostesses then gave me the wrong menu per our waitress. The waitress wasn't thrilled to be their either. I wooed her, have to she's handling me food. Need more vegetarian/vegan options? Before I could even yell check please along came Isaac, true professional.

He knows the deal. There is an art to food service. Isaac know it. It's not hard. The food a c, cocktails b, ambiance b. When there is a live band playing turn down led zeppelin. I love zeppelin but a live band gets first dibs.

This is a restaurant I had been to in the past and had very positive things to say. Unfortunately, not this time. Upon arrival, there was a wait to get seated as the hostess was explaining the menu to someone. We were seated in the bar area which was loud. It was difficult to even hear our waiter at times. The cocktails were well made and large. The calamari appetizer was very good and also a good portion. I ordered crabcakes for an entree. Unfortunately, they were burned on the bottom and partially inedible. I pointed this out to our waiter who was appropriately apologetic. Overall, I feel the price charged was not worth it.

Blackwall Hitch is a beautiful resturant! Loved the decor (was taking inspiration photos for my kitchen remodel!) the staff was knowledgeable and accommodating, answering menu questions and making side swap side without complaint. The drinks are delicious but a little on the pricey side. I wouldn’t come here if I wanted more than one or two cocktails. The sides were definitely geared to special diets - intact I was wishing there was a plain coke slaw for my mom who doesn’t like spicy foods or cauliflower. Overall a great meal and a wonderful experience.

This was my husband's birthday. We were given the table I had requested, the food was exceptional, our server (whose name I don't remember, unfortunately) was friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. This was our fourth visit, and we will definitely return. The only disappointment was my husband and our friends all wanted osso bucco but it had been removed from the menu. Their second choices did not disappoint, however.

Overall not a bad spot. For the to out of town vacationers looking for step up dining experience from the usual fast food tourist traps, this is a good bet. Their menu makes a big deal about their raw oyster special. So why where there no oysters to be had on my visit? Major disappointment!!!

The Sunday brunch was not a Sunday Jazz Brunch; not the menu advertised on Open Table. The menu advertised on the app is a complete buffet brunch with carving station, seafood buffet, and made to order omelettes. I opted for a crab meat omelet but it was not what I expected when I made the reservation. The hostess said they had jazz at happy hour. The omelette had meager crab meat and the vegetables on the side were soggy and oily.

The decor is very interesting. It's near the beach and on the Avenue so parking is challenging. I called but whomever answered the phone was not helpful about finding parking. Probably a great bar scene in the late afternoon and evening.

The server was very sweet, probably Czeck or Russian. She tried hard, was attentive, and I left her a cash tip. I assume that charged tips take longer to be paid to the server and I always assume young people at the beach town need a constant flow of cash for their school expenses.

Enjoyed the music. Walk of Shame was playing. My po’boy was po... only 3 oysters for $19. Fries 🍟 similar to McD’s and served warm, not hot. Husbands pasta dish was delicious.

This was our first time here during our Rehoboth vacation. My husband had bronzino and I had salmon and kale salad. Both were perfect. Our 6-year old son was given a big bowl of penne pasta that he loved. We also had these fun drinks made with fruit and you could add a small cup of rum. Service was quick and attentive. We would definitely suggest this restaurant.

Very good menu options. We all enjoyed our entrees. The ingredients were very fresh and the flavors well balanced. Same for our drinks. All were all extremely well prepared. We look forward to returning and sampling some of the other interesting menu selections.

For a boardwalk restaurant, this place was pretty good! We were eating fairly early, 6 pm. We were seated immediately . The waitress was very accommodating. She brought water and bread immediately, which was very good. We ordered drinks & appetizers. They also came in a timely manner. We were half way through our salads, when out-came our entrees!! So, we were not pleased with that.
The food was very good. So I would say besides feelings rushed, overall, it was a good dining experience. The watermelon salad and shrimp and grits were very good!

We came here based on a friend's recommendation and were very pleased. Because of the difficult parking situation in Rehoboth we had made a 7 pm reservation but ended up arriving 30 minutes early. The staff was very accommodating and got us seated immediately. The food was quite good, the portions were generous and given the resort nature of Rehoboth I thought the pricing was very reasonable. All in all it was a very positive experience and we plan on dining here again on our next visit to Rehoboth Beach.
