Blackwall Hitch Baltimore
I took my family from California to the Sunday brunch, and it was absolutely delicious. Everyone enjoyed the options and the drinks were good as well. We will return the next time we visit B-more!!!
Amazing food. Sitting outside was perfect. Inside was a little too loud. Lovely ambiance
The ambiance was great, the risotto dish was a little watery and scallops were over seasoned. Great wine and cocktail selection, will definitely have to come back for the brunch here
Great range of options
Great service...Travis was awesome!!
Been here multiple times and will keep coming back!
Nice area. Great food. A little pricey plus parking garage is a block up and its $12 even with comp from restaurant. Overall good spot.
The food is great, we did not enjoy the restaurant week selection. I would have chosen other menu items
Food was a bit pricy for what you get...2 shrimp/2 scallops for $30...service was eeehhhh...restaurant week menu was good except dessert was average. I’d return for happy hour possibly. With so many choices in Baltimore they can do better.
Stopped in for an early dinner. Service was slow even though place was not busy. Food was decent and would go back but was hoping for more. Calamari was fantastic!
We had made reservation for lunch as a part of the Baltimore Restaurant Week event. But when we came for our meal, we were told that they weren't offering lunch for the event and that the information on the website was mistaken. We ended up not eating there.
Great dining experience...We enjoyed the Sunday brunch buffet. Our waitress, Rachael was MAGNIFICENT!!!! Will return in the future to try the dinner menu.
This is an experience! It was super fabulous from the moment we walked in the door. They definitely cater to their patrons and the food is delicious and fresh. The waitress and other staff was exceptionally helpful and courteous. I will be going back!
I happened in during restaurant week. I was delighted with my choices from the fixed price menu.
We went for Restaurant Week and it's a relatively new restaurant so maybe they need to iron a few wrinkles. The Grilled Peach and Burrata appetizer seemed to be made of canned peaches, not fresh peaches. Our appetizers and entrees came out together instead of letting us enjoy our appetizer first. We were not given steak knives to eat our steaks but on a positive note, we were able to cut them with a butter knife. The desserts were "meh," but the Brussels sprouts were the best part of the meal.
Food was great!
Went for restaurant week. Upon looking at the menu beforehand, we were looking forward to the set options. We were quickly displeased when the appetizers came out that looked more like a sampling plate then a true appetizer. The seared tuna was literally 2 cubes of tuna. The peach burrata fit a similar mold, as it came out with 2 slices of peach...disappointing. Main courses- salmon was clearly farm raised and did not taste fresh. Corn salsa was ok. Surf and turf was mediocre. Crab cake good but small (surprise) and the steak was doused in some sort of glaze sauce. In my experience, and well prepared steak does not need its flavor to be disguised with a sauce. Third course- guess how the dessert was....you got it! Small! Not sure if we were at dinner or a taste testing but this is not what we expected. To add insult to injury the drinks we ordered were pretty poor as well. Feels like we were hoodwinked by Blackwall Hitch during restaurant and will not be back.
I have been to this restaurant twice and I enjoyed my food. This time the service and food were a bit off. It took 30 minutes to get our drinks and our water was really never refilled. I will try it again.
They have nice location and good ideas but, there were parts of my meal that were hit and miss. With the limited choices in the harbor, Blackwall Hitch is good but it should be great.
The service was slow and the order was messed up but most of our food was good.
Very slow service. Had to track down the server. Food came out cold.
Went for restaurant week, I got the surf and turf with tuna appetizer. Appetizer was good, so was the peach salad. On the entree, the brussel sprouts were hard, the steak was over cooked (I asked for medium rare) and the crab cake was fishy. The chocolate mouse tasted like jello pudding with whipped cream from a can (I’m pretty sure it actually was whipped cream from a can) and the slice of cake was dry. But the wine was good and so was the bread basket with herb butter. Our waiter was nice too. I would not go back unless the meal was free and even then I may pass on the offer
We took a trip to Baltimore and we wanted to go to a reasonably priced restaurant that had seafood. We selected Blackwall Hitch Baltimore and I was glad that we did. The ambiance is attractive. Although we visited during lunch, the noise level was manageable and we could talk without feeling as if we had to scream to each other to be heard. We just happened to go during Restaurant Week and we each had a seafood entree. Two of us had the grilled watermelon salad. Our main dishes were a crab meat sandwich, pasta with crab, and avocado and crab flatbread sandwich. We were all pleased by our choices and we agree that we will visit here again.
My Chicken Caesar Salad entree had barely any lettuce.
I really wanted to like this restaurant, but it ended up having more than its fair share of problems and resulted in me feeling rushed, unsatisfied, and upset that I spent a lot of money on this meal. The night started well, we were seated promptly and our waiter immediately introduced himself. But it went downhill from there. We were asked multiple times within a seven minute period if we knew what we would like to order, but only had one restaurant week menu to pass between the three of us. Our appetizer arrived quickly, but was possibly the smallest tuna crudo I've ever seen-with only two pieces of tuna. At this point, our waiter told us he was putting in our mains. However, MINUTES later our mains arrived! We had not finished our appetizers. We weren't given steak knives. Our plates were not cleared from the table. In fact our plates weren't cleared from the table until we asked the busboy to do so, when we received dessert (also before we finished our mains). The entire experience felt rushed, and the food was nothing to write home about, leading to a generally unsatisfying experience. I was really hoping to enjoy my time here but unfortunately the 45 minutes I spent left a bad taste, and I am now unlikely to return.
BWH was just a great place for hosting a work gathering, good food, drink, and relaxed fun.
Excellent food, service. Very good value during restaurant week. Filet mignon, crab cake, veg paella, grilled peach and burata were delicious.
Food was very good but service was slow.
My boyfriend and I went for restaurant week. I never right reviews but definitely felt compelled after our meal. The positives: the server was conscientious, the hostesses were welcoming, and the atmosphere was cool and well kept. The negatives: we didn’t get our drinks until halfway through the meal, the ahi app was extremely salty, we both ordered the surf & turf medium rare but mine was medium well. The staff were not great at busing the table throughout the meal. Not the restaurant’s fault but a lot of crying kids (guessing bc it’s near the harbor). Would not return or recommend to others.
Nice atmosphere. Good food. Accommodating staff!
It was a birthday celebration dinner for my girlfriend. We had a very pleasant experience from start to finish. The hosts were very friendly. Our server Mustafa was AWESOME. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and provided great recommendations. I had the soft shell crab and the grilled peach salad, both delicious! If you’re there while the soft shell crab in season, I would highly recommend it. The appetizers were good. Our favorites were the garlic crab spice wings and the calamari. Last but certainly not least, was the cinnamon roll dessert. It was sooo good. A great way to finish off the meal, with a cup of coffee of course.
Yet again another awesome meal at Blackwall Hitch. Great service from Travis. It is our go to fish restaurant. Travis convinced us to try the Smith Island Cake which as we are from England originally we had not heard of - awesome cake we tried the coconut. Thanks again to all the staff for another great night at Blackwall Hitch which we followed up with the 8pm City Lights boat cruise.
My wife and I had a nice lunch over looking the water. The food was unique and surprisingly healthy. Definitely try the watermelon soup on a hot day!
Q was very friendly & professional.
It wasn’t quite clear that there would be more peppers than calamari for our appetizer.
Good food, good service, good location, had dinner date there
We had Sunday Brunch with my 2,5 year old grandson.
The food was very nice and tasty but it was pricey. The price was $39.99 per adult and we were charged $15 for a baby who had a one bit of waffle. The food isn’t baby friendly and there isn’t a special baby menu. It was definitely overpriced. The place isn’t a baby friendly place. Also, we paid $10.50 for Bloody Mary and saw that people had Mimosas and had to ask a waiter for a price for Mimosa and then discovered that Mimosas were $2.00. We didn’t see Mimosas prices in the menu.
When we went to get a Crab soup , it had only liquid and no crab meat inside and we had to ask a manager to bring a new soup. We went to Rusty Scupper Restaurant before and had much better experience. Plus note, that the gratuity was added to the bill.
Easy parking across the street, great hostess check in!
Food was fantastic; raw bar, crab soup, breakfast items, carved meat were delicious. Chicken and waffles too!!
Our server was new and was in training and was very attentive to our group.
The food was excellent! The service was just OK. Try the crab dip, it’s delicious.
Good and tasty food. The server was very positive and energetic. They provided excellent suggestions when we were ordering. However there is a disconnect between the server and the delivery of the food. The server does not deliver the food. However, we had barely finished our appetizers and the food came out instantly. Not sure if the server knew, but I wanted another drink and my dinner was almost done by the time I got it.
We waited for 20 minutes before I got up from the table and told the hostess that we haven't even been given water or greeted by a server. Ordered the flaming crab dip and it was ok. Also had the scallop and shrimp dish and it was completely bland. Not sure if it was supposed to flavored rice or risotto but we sent it back. Not a great experience with our first visit here.
Service was not great.
Poor service. Mediocre food. Not worth it.
We waited for 20 minutes for drinks.....which arrived after our appetizer and our main courses arrived. We told the waiter and he seemed not entirely concerned about the delay. We had planned on ordering a bottle of wine - but couldn't do that since the drinks arrived too late.
Waiter's response to everything was "no problem." Please tell you wait staff that the proper response to "thank you" is "you're welcome." Not "no problem."
Great service from the host, she went out of her way to make sure we got a booth (as we requested). Our server was great, food came out in perfect time and was damn good. Drinks were good as well, overall a great experience in a beautiful establishment.
