Blackstones Steakhouse - Norwalk
The antique decoration, rich menu and the outstanding service, will make your night unique and unforgettable. Be tempted by our prime dry aged beef. You will find dry aged steaks, fresh seafood also complimented by traditional steakhouse side dishes.
First time we brought friends. One of them got a miniature sea bass. I got a miniature filet mignon. We paid a lot of money for these tiny portions. I don’t think I even got a center cut. The aged flavor was missing for the first time from both my steak and my wife’s porterhouse. In fact, my wife’s steak had an off taste. We have eaten there enough to know the difference. You even changed the flatbread. This is the second time in three weeks my filet was tiny. Seems like something is going down. At these prices we can’t afford to take a chance on the quality we used to get from this restaurant. We didn’t complain at the time because we were embarrassed in front of our friends. All very disappointing.
Love Blackstones and our server Pat was excellent!! Very accommodating and attentive! A wonderful dining experience!
Outstanding service , quality and setting . This continues to be our go to steakhouse .
Blackstones in Norwalk consistently delivers impeccable service and distinguished food in a comfortable ambiance. This is my number one steakhouse.
We are blessed to have such a great steakhouse in our town. It's not a cheap night out, but it certainly is worth it. At our table there was steak, Dover sole, shrimp, clams and a delicious burrata salad. The ambiance is lovely (even good jazz playing in the background), and the service is excellent. We look forward to returning to Blackstones.
Very good rib eye steak. Tartufo was disappointing with freezer burn.
Great good, great service. Consistently good experience.
The filet mignon was very tasty and cut like butter
Consistently good: excellent steak, friendly service. Grab a table in the bar for the best atmosphere.
Excellent service and delicious food. Highly recommend.
One of the few steakhouses in Norwalk. Decor is an old-style steakhouse with dark wood and red finishings. Service is attentive. Their porterhouse steak was cooked exactly as ordered and very tasty; the classic sides are all there, with their Hash Browns being very good. Long wine list, from moderate to more expensive, so that was also very good. They are in a strip mall and walking through their back area parking lot through the bar area is not so nice, but the restaurant itself and the service are very good. We will be back.
Food and service is just right up there at same level as Morton’s , Ruth Chris , Peter Lugers and NY Prime !
Our first visit and it won’t be our last !
Went there for Mother’s Day. The restaurant was very busy but the service was very good tentative. They do not rush you there at all which I greatly appreciate. The steaks were age to perfection and delicious. The french fries for the table were nice and crispy.
Our server Lila was friendly and attentive, even when the restaurant started to become busy. I am glad to have experienced this and will return on the next special occasion. Good job Blackstones, and keep doing the great work that you do!
Food was just ok. NY strip side of our $188 porterhouse had so much gristle that it was almost inedible. Sides were fine but nothing special. For top prices like this you can get a better steak nearly anywhere. Friendly staff helps but the glowing reviews are insane.
It was a great experience. Our sever Caesar was just outstanding. Food was just perfect.
Best experience ever.
Its a good steakhouse but nothing out of the ordinary. Service can be a bit sketchy at times. Simply put, not as attentive as I would like. There is an older gentleman that manages the front of the restaurant who's really terrific and service oriented. The staff needs to learn from him!
We didn't order steak -probably a mistake at a steakhouse.
The restaurant was very loud. Servers and host were very nice but service was extremely slow and the food was not hot. It was a very long meal and there was a lot of waiting throughout the meal. We waited for the menu, appetizer and main course and the bill. We had to flag down the waitstaff many times throughout the meal. It's a shame since we were excited about going.
5Star Service, out of this world food. Not a weak spot in the menu.
Reserved on open table as birthday celebration. No one acknowledged this
Service could have better. They forgot to order one of our side dishes and the steak wasn’t cooked they way we asked for it. Also they couldn’t find my open table reservation.
This is my second visit to Blackstones Steakhouse. This is a classic steakhouse that should not be missed. My steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection, the staff was fantastic and attentive . Anyone that likes a classic steakhouse needs to give Blackstones a try.
Terrific food and superb service.
It was our first time there. We were seated next to a table that was celebrating an anniversary. There were a couple of young children, who were abit loud. Not terrible, just annoying. Also, it was very chilly where I was sitting, I said something to our waiter, and he took care of it immediately.
The food was great, our waiter and the rest of the staff were attractive and accommodating.
As we were leaving, the host walked us out, and apologized for the noisy children. We had a pleasant chat, and we appreciated his personal attention.
We certainly will return.
A hidden gem in East Norwalk. Amazing wine list and large portions. Old time service. We left with extra food. My new favorite restaurant
NEVER HAD A BAD MEAL AT THIS STEAKHOUSE. GOOD VARIETY OF FOOD AND FISH DISHES ARE AS GOOD AS THE STEAK.
Outstanding food and service. Loved it. Dining room might be upgraded a bit, but it doesn’t diminish the overall excellence of the restaurant.
Food was excellent, as expected (I've been here many times). Service was less so, also as expected. The good news is that they never rush you. The bad news is that it is often hard to find your waiter when you need a beverage refill or the check. The quality of the steaks makes up for that; just plan on sitting at your table 15 minutes or so longer than you would like. (I only go to Blackstones with a companion whose conversation I enjoy.)
It’s was very good best steak outside NYC and at a better value.
Food was delicious. Service was awesome. I can’t remember our waiters name but he was very good. And I loved that he called us by name. Steak was cooked perfectly!
Great food and service.
Our family - party of 12 - took my mom for her birthday. Service was excellent very accommodating with seniors small children and varying diet constraints. Highly recommend!
All around outstanding! From the service, to the atmosphere, and the food especially. Would definitely go back.
Always great food and service! It’s my go to restaurant.
We took an old school chum out for his birthday and had a great time. The traditional steakhouse experience didn't disappoint. Everything met or exceeded our expectations. Items ordered off the menu were exactly what they were advertised as, no surprises like at the modern cuisine places where we all look at the food and each other and give the confused and concerned nonverbal message, is this what it's supposed to be? All details considered, nothing overlooked. The serving of Tiramisu could've been larger and the decaf coffee hotter. Thank you for a great evening.
Simply.....the best. Service is professional, & just then right amount of it, not overbearing. Food is second to none. Great atmosphere.
Fantastic food and ambiance!
We went on Valentine’s Day and it was very crowded. We waitied at least 25 minutes everyone in line had an 8:30 appointment which as about maybe 5 couples maybe a couple more, they started adding tables and shortly after people started getting seated shortly after... but regardless of the wit the food was amazing! Like super great! Especially the salmon, I would probably go early next time like possibly 5 or 6. We waited for our food for like an hour but honestly worth the wait. The wait is understandable because of the amount of people and plus everybody was probably ordering steak which takes forever to cook the right way especially at a high end restaurant. I looked past it and will definitely go again.
It was Valentine's day but we waited 1/2 hour to get a menu. The table next to ours got nice and hot bread (she commented on this) and ours was cold . Another 15 minutes and the waiter brings us a glass of wine each and says he's sorry about the slow service but then comes back a few minutes later and says it was the wrong table and goes to take the wine away. I had to warn him I had already taken a sip so he left it behind. The food was very good and we enjoyed it but the tardy service just kept bothering me, especially the fact that they could have used another waiter that night instead of the 2 elder gentlemen seating people. If service slows down, then offer something to your clients, don't just ignore it.
