Bar crowd is a bit noisy for a steakhouse but it’s a vibrant place so I guess that is part of its charm.
We did the price fixe Groupon deal. Amazing value.
It’s a true dinner, not a watered down version of their normal menu like you will see in slot of prices fixe.
Huge salad, large filet, large portions of really good sides, glass of wine with a good wine, and a very good dessert.
Owner, sam, is super hospitable. Gave us complimentary wine.
Like many restaurants, when you order wine by the glass, their house bottles are kept on very warm areas and the red wine is being served at room temperature or higher. Like 75 degrees.
Proper serving of red wine should be 60-65.
It’s a common problem not unique to this spot.
A great restaurant.
Consistently delicious food. My filet mignon was, as all other times I’ve ordered one, perfectly cooked to medium-rare and really tasty and flavorful. My husband’s tomahawk steak was perfect too. Fantastic creamed spinach.
Generally good quality and service. Filets were solid... Diver scallops and salads underwhelming... fried calamari a hit with the kids.
Saturday night dinner was excellent. The restaurant tables are well spaced and comfortable
The service was top notch and precise
When we needed one of our steaks cooked a bit more they responded quickly and effortless
Started with the blue point Oysters that were so delicious and fresh
The wine list is diverse and has plenty of choices at all price points .
We have tried some new steakhouses in Greenwich but blackstones is at another level
I must say if you are looking for top quality food with excellent service this is the place
We will be back !
First time at Blackstone's and we'll definitely return. Steaks were perfectly cooked. The Tuna and Dover Sole were excellent. All that coupled with attentive service made it a wonderful evening
Nice evening and good food!
Delicious dinner. Scallops were exceptional as was the filet mignon. The spinach and mushrooms were great too. Plan to go again when I have a yen for meat.
Great food and great service. Highly recommend!!
The owner, Sammy, was very nice and making sure we were taken care of. Great staff.
We had a reservation but had to wait. The steak was overpriced and I had requested to take home my dinner and they did not put all of it in the take out bag. I only realized it when I checked the next day.
Below average, overly priced food. Pushy waiters.
Very displeased. Service was poor in that we waited 15+ minutes between courses. And the food did not match the price.
Food was good, service not so great this time. Usually both are very good.
We enjoyed our dinner. Very tasty. We all liked what we ordered. Service was very good. The best was that we could talk to each other without struggling.
we will definitely return.
The best of the best in Greenwich. Management and servers are class acts all around. New world food, old world charm, respect and kindness.
I enjoyed the dinner very much. The appetizers were very very good. I thought the staff were all very nice and were attentive to the fact that I had my two little ones with me. I would definitely go back.
Been there several times. The staff Has always been attentive. This time not so much. Benny must have had a off day. The amazing sizzling bacon - wasn’t amazing. Very disappointed. It was fatty and over cooked. Slightly burnt. Drinks are over priced. Been there at least 6 times. Mostly for business. It was my birthday and they did nothing for me. The last two times the service and wasn’t as good. With Spread restaurant moved in 3 doors down Blackstones needs to up their game or they will be back on a plane to Albania.
The meal was very rushed. Steak was under seasoned and tough.
We had the Porterhouse with mac & cheese, and sauteed spinach. The food was delicious. I will definitely go back.
We ordered the seafood platter appetizer for three, to start. I have to say it did not taste as fresh as it had in the past, and I was least impressed with the raw clams. Still good, but not stellar as in the past. We then ordered more small plates to share, and we thought the waiter was annoyed because we did not order steaks. Overall, love the place still.
The food is always great! The scallop appetizer is by far my best! Every steak is impeccable. The Blackstone salad is amazing. The staff never fails to make me feel like I'm family!!! Love this place!!!
A few of us went out for lunch...caesar salads were drenched in dressing, waitstaff was unattended as we had to get up to ask for another drink and an extra plate. Steak juice was running onto salad as it was served on the same plate. not what i expected.
Birthday dinner with 5 guests; food was excellent; large, delicious portions. Steak, dover sole, veal chop were perfect. Parking can be an issue as restaurant is on a main street ..but we lucked out!
They food and the service were excellent! Definitely recommend Blackstone's Steak House.
Blackstones, Greenwich, CT is one of four Blackstones located in Fairfield County. Given the families continued growth in the region, one would deservingly give the Brothers credit for a keen understanding of their marketplace. That said, they consistently serve quality food that is on time and on target.
Highly recommend one if their fine restaurants. Just don’t forget your wallet!
First time at Blackstone's, we loved it! Loved the steak and Blackstone Chicken!
This review would have been better had it not been New Year's Eve (although it really shouldn't have mattered, this is a well established Steakhouse). We had a seating for 4 at 7 pm. The restaurant was busy but not jammed. They had a large party coming in for dinner in a private room. The manager was very pushy, and kept sending waiters to our table. The waiters seemed confused as to why this was happening, since I believe there was only waiter whose station we were sitting in. We were taken aback, as we've eaten there before, and we've always enjoyed great service and great food.
When my friend's husband remarked to the manager that we were feeling rushed and expected better treatment, he persisted in coming over to the table to try to get us to order, and sending staff over to get us to move faster. At one point, our friend said maybe we would just pay for our drinks and go somewhere else. A short time later, the manager came back, said he was only concerned that we wouldn't get our food in a timely manner once "the big party came in because the kitchen would get crazy". I can understand that sometimes happens; however, the party was booked later than we were, and people who were attending it came in to the restaurant a few at a time.
The manager apologized and sent us a bottle of wine, which we decided was sufficient acknowledgement of the behavior. Our waiter was very good and very kind. However when our steaks came out, the staff who served them basically, mixed up the order (one couple ordered one steak to share, my husband and I ordered a different steak to share) and started serving both steaks to all four of us. I didn't think the steak was as good as it usually is, a bit on the tough side. It all happened so fast that we just ate our dinner, declined dessert and left.
All in all, it was a hectic rushed experience, and we certainly expect better of Blackstone's. We'll go back, but certainly not on a holiday!
Great wine list, food was ok and dessert was mediocre at best. We had the French Onion soup (which was great), the shrimp cocktail (which I think made my husband ill), the porter house for 2 (steak was ok), the garlic mashed potatoes (also good) and the tartufo and carrot cake for dessert (nothing special about either of these). Overall, I would expect better quality food for a steak house - I've certainly had better. One last note, the plates and wine glasses did not look clean - major negative.

Met for a Christmas Luncheon. Blackstones was Very Accommodating. Food was delicious. I would highly recommend
We dined at Blackstones on Christmas Day. Our dinners were delicious and the service was excellent.
Steak was great, service a bit slow. Strong odor of cigar smoke in the area. Not sure but maybe they have a cigar room in the back
Cigar smoke in the main dining area was very over powering.
Our 5th time here and it never fails to disappoint...food is amazing!
Wonderful experience. Gracious host and impeccable service. Steaks were cooked to perfection.
This was our third visit. The food was excellent as always. The service was spotty. Repeatedly had to track down our waiter to order, and then again to get another glass of wine. This happened last time as well. If they could nail the service it would be a great spot.
Excellent Steaks, great sides and wonderful service. Can't wait to return.
Nice atmosphere, good service, good food. But it is pricey.
