One of the worst experiences ever! Slow service and bland food
Marguerite provided OUTSTANDING service! We ate twice there on the occasion of our son's college graduation.
Great to watch the game. Not too crowded. Quiet enough for conversation. Food is decent
Food was terrific
Delicious! Highly recommend!
Got there at 5:40 on our way to the Bruins game that night. Got in just under the wire as the place was full by 6:10 with everyone's goal of getting to the game. The Staff was a little behind for the first 45 minutes or so but everyone pitched in, including the manager and made it a welcome experience. No complaints with the food nor drinks with a Reuben, Mushroom flatbread, a barbecue plate and two salads as part of the meal. We were on our way to the game by 7:40 with plenty of time to spare. An enjoyable experience for all.
Wanted a place to go, other than a sports bar, before a concert at TD garden. There were a lot of open seats (maybe because it was a Tuesday) so really didn't need reservations. Service was good. Food was ok. Though the Tina Nachos were great! Came out hot. Chips were super crispy. They happened to be out of the beer I was most interested in. The signature cocktails were very good though; Lavender Lush being my favorite.
It was the first time we had been there and I found it off open table. The menu had lots of options and the food was terrific.
Service started out good but once our meals were placed at the table we did not see our waitress again for at least 30 minutes. Had to flag down another server to order a final round of drinks and the check. Looking around the restaurant it appeared we weren't the only ones annoyed with the lack of service.
Bar was lacking, food was solid, not amazing. Clam chowder was nothing except way too smoky bacon.
Very conveniently located for events at TD Garden. Was very busy due to NCAA tournament at Garden. Consequently, food was a tad slow coming out of the kitchen but was very good nevertheless. Would return if returning to TD Garden for any event.
Unique beer selection; great place spend time with friends.
Great service, food for vegans and carnivores alike, and really great beer list.
First time, great time. Thank you John, you were fantastic!!! My wife and I will be back soon.
The only reason for three stars on service is it is extremely slow. At least one hour for two people to get their food orders in and served. Servers were exceptional, bar tender was great. Cocktails are perfect. Food was amazing and worth the wait which is why we came back three more times for dinner knowing it was going to be slow.
Parking can be a bit of a pain there is some on street parking but not much.
Really enjoyed Blackmoor. We got nachos, quesadillas, pasta, and chicken sandwich. All was very good. Went before a Bruins game and it was a great location. Did not have their craft beer this night.
great for pre Bruins / celtics games , little walk but $15 parking right down the street
4 out of 4 meals were disappointing.
- everything was cold
- burger, way overcooked
- pizza/flatbread, ...cold
- smoked bbq meal, I honestly think it may have been boiled on high heat and slathered with sauce. I couldn't even cut it with a knife. And the included beans weren't fully soaked/cooked.
- Service was barely there.
It's such a disappointment because it's so close to my apt.
The bar looks descent though.
Well mixed drink, great beer selection, a menu of casual dining choices that were quite tasty. A few things, to my thought, would nicely round out the menu, such as a grilled chicken or fish sandwich option. We live close by, will likely be back.
We got the chicken tenders for appetizers which were delicious. However, the main course was disappointing. I got the BBQ mater plate with ribs, chicken wings. The ribs were dry and the wings were over cooked and a little burnt. The jalapeno mac and cheese side was good but the potato salad wasn’t well made either.
They do have a good collection of beer so I'll give them that. If I ever came back to the restaurant, it would be to catch a game and get drinks at the bar with some appetizers.
The ambiance is pretty good!
Food is good, but service is very slow and the servers are not attentive. I enjoy not being rushed, but do want to be attended to. I keep going back, but the service is always slow.
Omar took great care of us. The food was fantastic. Highly recommend the seafood ramen and beef tips. Lots of quality beers on tap.
Food was good. Our waitress appeared very new or just very inattentive. The host sensed our frustration and on several occasions came to our table to see what we needed. The vibe is decent and the music playlist was the best in the city.
The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. My entrée was excellent. Both IPAs I tried were very tasty. They were recommended by my server, who let me have tastes of each before I ordered. It was a cold Tuesday evening and there were plenty of tables available.
The service was very slow even though there weren’t a lot of people there. It took close to two hours for dinner - excessive for drinks and burgers for two. The mixed drinks were very light on the alcohol. The best thing was the homemade kettle chips.
Mac n Cheese with fried chicken and collards... BOMB. Also, the steak and cheese eggrolls were some of the best I've had. A lot of restaurants have those now and a lot of times they're kind of tough to bite through but the eggrolls at Blackmoor were so, so, so good! Also, the service was really great, so I would highly recommend this place!
The service is very attentive. The steak tips are cooked to order.seafood stew is full of cod, shrimp, mussels and noodles and is sure to please! Looking forward to returning!
We love this place. The food selection is great and the food itself is delicious. They have a several large TVs in the bar playing different sporting events and a big fireplace which is cozy in the fall in winter. Their beer list is also great!
The food and service are very good. A little bit expensive, tho
One of the best burgers ever.
Took clients for a bite and some drinks before the Roger Waters show at the TD Garden. Really good food and fast service. Great spot and I will be back.
We were in Boston for a concert and this was easy walking distance to the TD Garden. The menu was indeed eclectic and we both liked our food, my husband got macaroni and cheese and I got a flatbread pizza. Service for food was excellent, our waitress was Stella and she was very attentive and did let us know it was getting a bit crazy at the bar so our drinks could take a few minutes longer. We appreciated the heads up. We also had a coupon from staying at The Residence Inn and we forgot to mention that after we paid. They went back and added the discount which we know was a pain to do but it's that kind of mentality that we love. We would definitely go back again if we lived in Boston. I highly recommend.
I had high hopes when we walked into Blackmoor. It was a special event weekend (the USS Constitution was leaving dry dock that night), so I assume the restaurant was busier than normal. The initial service was outstanding. And, throughout, our server was fantastic. But she could not make up for the deficiencies of the kitchen. Our food took more than an hour to prepare. Even then, burgers were not completely cooked. When the food finally arrived our server had to bring it in stages. We were dealing with tired and hungry kids so theirs came first. But the adult entrees were staggered --- and when my husband's order arrived it was wrong!
The initial service was super! And our server was great, but no accommodation was made beyond "I'm sorry" for the kitchen's utter failure. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend the restaurant.
Food was amazing- only place I'll ever go for fish and chips.
Very good meal and good pricing. Here on vacation and if in the area would go back
The food and beer were great as well as the waitress. There was no host and the place seemed a little swamped. We had to wait about ten minutes for someone to talk to us when we arrived. Other than this though, the rest of the experience was great.
Had a late afternoon meal at Blackmoor with the family on Father's Day during Sail Boston. Location is convenient, at the corner of N Washington and Chelsea Streets in Charlestown, right along the Freedom Trail. Atmosphere is friendly and casual, wait staff attentive, and the beer list features many microbrews, so this is a great choice if you're into craft beers and ales. Food was flavorful (especially liked the Lamb Poutine) and reasonably priced. Good place for a cold brew and a meal.
Set up a major Boston family Fathers Day on Sail Boston Weekend and Blackmoor was
the best in making us feel at home. All you guys really made our day complete. We will
be back for sure.
Thank you so much
The Panarello family
I had a salad with chicken, the presentation was great but the food was obviously packaged, bacon was fatty, cold, chicken cubes had been frozen before.
I really like the vibe of this place. The service was very good which was pleasantly surprising because prior reviews stated otherwise. We ordered the tater tots before dinner which was decent but overpriced-- not your normal tots but had a cool twist. I ordered the Margherita pizza and it was just ok. My boyfriend ordered the smoked turkey pressed sandwich and he enjoyed it. Blackmor does have a beer list that wont disappoint. All in all, I would go back to this spot as a place to grab some drinks with friends rather than sit down for a meal.
