   First time dining here and the food was delicious (deviled eggs, chicken steak beignets, cornbread, collard greens, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, chicken wings and the various sauces for the chicken. My party even said the water was good and when I tried they were correct as I’m not a lover of restaurant water. The ambience was welcoming as well as the music. Employees were friendly and professional, we even loved the silverware. The food was so good it had me dancing in my seat, would definitely go back. Made us wanting to try her other restaurants. Our server Lashay was the best, made us feel comfortable. We just had one complaint about the two small slices of cornbread for $12.

   My mother’s favorite food is fried chicken so this was the perfect place to celebrate her birthday this year. The staff was phenomenal from check in, to dining, to the person who assisted with bringing out our food and clearing our table. Wonderful experience and we plan to come back and recommend others check it out.

   Great food and ambience! Staff was great. Our group had both chicken and the sides, including the cornbread and the tin can banana pudding. Highly recommend!

   The chicken and sides were amazing. The black waffle was not it. Definitely just need to stick with a regular waffle. I get the whole black hen…black waffle but it wasn’t good at all. For a party of two there is no way gratuity should have been added to the bill. $20 at that. We didn’t even receive a refill on drinks. The food is good but they’ve got some work to do with the service. Overall my husband and I give it a 7/10.

   The restaurant is very small. We were seated adjacent to the restrooms luckily knowone had to use the facilities while we were eating. The chicken wings were very small for the price and the seasoning dashed on after coming out of the fryer. The Buffalo chicken dip needed more Buffalo sauce. I wasn't a fan of the chicken cheese steak begets but the deviled eggs were good. The saving grace was the peach cobbler "empeñadas".

   First walking in the place was questionable. Once going to the seating area it get better every minute. Space is small and fills quick so definitely make a reservation prior to going. I would describe BlackHen as soul food at its best. Everything we had was delicious.

   The Food and staff were both amazing. The friendliness of the staff made the already delicious food well worth the visit, i am impressed and will be back.

    The waiters/servers were very alert, aware, helpful, professional, catered to all needs/services in a prompt/timely manner. The food was good. It's a small setting but a nice operated business.
