Cayuga White is a delightful wine that has a pleasing tartness, reminiscent of green apples. This wine is done in an off-dry style. In the tasting room, we find that people who prefer dry wines find this wine to be pleasantly fruity, but not too sweet, while those who prefer sweet find the apple flavor to be refreshing. Blackhawk Winery is the only winery in the US that is growing and making wine from the Sheridan grape. A relative of the Concord, this grape makes a delightful rose with a vibrant color. We strive to source our fruit as locally as possible and are very pleased to be able to buy fresh blackberries from SurReal Farms in Westfield, IN! The wine this year is similar to last year's vintage. The berries continue to deliver a fresh, crisp, and rich finish to wine. Although technically one of our sweeter wines at 5% residual sugar, the wine is balanced by the higher level of berry acid. It is a delicious and enjoyable reminder of summer! Alcohol 10.50%
