Blackfish, the flagship BYOB of Chef/owner Charles "Chip" Roman, offers seafood-centered, progressive American cuisine with French influences.
Guests can enjoy a daily changing a la carte menu, as well as tasting menus ranging from five-to-seven courses.

Best decision of the week - selecting the 5-course tasting menu for dinner. From start to finish, every bite was delicious. And the perfect complement to the fabulous meal was the A+++ service. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We will be back!
We have been here several times before and always enjoyed our meals. But the special swordfish tasting menu we had this time was so unique and AMAZING!!! Who knew there were so many ways to prepare swordfish?!?! Thank you so much for a great night.

We haven't been to Blackfish for awhile due to the pandemic but on a recent visit we found the food as delicious as always. We had the 5-course tasting menu and enjoyed it immensely. Can't wait to go back.
The Branzino with curry sauce was an outstanding dish. When we asked, the waiter told us the curry sauce was prepared over days and it showed with outstanding flavor. The wait staff was professional and attentive, but not overly attentive.
Everything was just perfect. We ate outside which is on the sidewalk and not ideal - but that aside, the food was perfection and the staff friendly, efficient and not overbearing. What a fabulous restaurant.
Everything about this restaurant is amazing . We did the chef tasting and was not disappointed. The service was impeccable. Ten out of ten.

The only vegetarian option was bursts salad and a plate of grilled vegetables, so it’s not vegetarian friendly if anyone in your party has restrictions.

A fantastic dining experience. We will definitely go back and bring friends who will also enjoy the 7 courses of art for the eyes and for the palette. Service was also tremendous.

The food was delicious. And the chef was first class when instead of just warming up two of the fish entrees that were somewhat undercooked, he made two fresh platters. Pricing was a little steep given the small portions, but overall it was a very fine dining experience
This place is about the food. Minimalist decor - clean, simple, and nice, nothing to distract from the delicious and beautifully presented food. The noise level was distracting due to a large party next to us, which did detract from our experience unfortunately. And on a weeknight, the normally delicious bread had a texture that implied it had been reheated (it’s a highlight when it’s fresh). But it’s still my favorite restaurant in the area, and I will go back again and again…but maybe not on a weeknight.

Food as always was exceptional. Service was excellent. Nothing I can say other than we dined at Blackfish last week. We’ve got another reservation for Blackfish next week. And that should tell you everything!
Dinner was excellent. We’ve been out to eat outdoors post pandemic at several of our favorite restaurants and most have been just mediocre, but Blackfish did a great job.
We sat outside, and Fayette St has some noisy trucks but we were happy to be with friends, great food and a chilled bottle of Chardonnay.
We had the seven course fix priced meal and it was outstanding!
The food was spectacular. We had the fisherman stew and every element was cooked to perfection. The service was also excellent.

Got the 5 course Tasting Menu. Food is decent, First 2 courses is really good. Main Course and Desert is good still but not as good as the appetizers.

I have been to Blackfish many, many times over the years and was most excited for them to reopen after closing for COVID. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed last evening. The space was so load it was hard to enjoy our meal. With the new seating outside, they had more tables than they could properly serve. It took 20 minutes to get our wine opened and poured and 15 minutes to order and get bread. The food was also simply not up to the standard we have grown accustomed to. We hope this is just the challenges of a restart. We will try again in a few months.
I have been a customer and can boast friend since this wonderful restaurant opened. As always, the food and staff not only are NEVER disappointing but continue to be top notch. Chef Chip Roman is innovative and creative and keeps making his clients coming back for more.
We had a phenomenal dinner. The service is impeccable. The entire staff works together like a relay team and the entire staff works together to service all tables. What fine dining should be like. Food is seasonal and very good. I had the vegetable platter and it would convince any person to become a vegetarian. I think with Covid we all forgot what fine dining should be like. Blackfish has it down pat. Veronica was our main waitress and she was the best. We were there for our anniversary and they really made us feel special
Very good! Only thing I wish is that we got a little bit more food for our $$ but everything was delicious and fresh abs yummy and our server was excellent. Would definitely recommend to everyone!
