   I definitely won't go back. It was my first and last time. We went there to celebrate Valentine's day, and it took 3 hours to serve 4 dishes. We took the desert home as I couldn't stand that place. I asked the waiter if we could sit inside and he said they were full booked, but there were empty tables inside for the entire time I was there. Smelly, with cockroaches and slow service I high recommend you don't waste your money and time in this place.

   We did not have an overly pleasant experience. We ordered pasta and a shared salad. The salad came out within 10 minutes, the pasta almost an hour later. When we sat down the waiter offered me a cushion for the chair but none to my wife. We finally went inside and took one from another seat. The whole service reminded us of a bunch of high schoolers trying to run a restaurant. The place would greatly benefit from an experienced front-end manager. The food was pretty meh. I would not go back to Blackbird.

   What can I say - it was NYE and you just want a lovely atmosphere and delicious well cooked food. The ambience was non existent really The scallop starter was actually lovely flavours which blended well . Unfortunately the mains were disappointing duck a lorange was very overcooked and dry and came with a weird concoction of onion bacon and peas which overpowered the dish . Steak board - ordered medium rare came medium to well done with a spicy chilli sauce again flavours did not work. Listen I could see staff running they were busy but it could have been so much better. Simplify things work on flavours and quality of the dishes and you will be fine you just need to fine tune. Also more charismatic wait staff are needed to make it an experience- you have potential - hope you can work it out

   We sat down, very excited to be there as the venue was really cute. However, the first hiccup came when we had to wait 40 minutes for our drinks. We had ordered virgin pinacoladas but they came with strawberry so that was a bit of a shock. They assured us that was just how they make it. We accepted it and waited for our entre. We checked on the baked brie a few times but it was another 20 minutes before it arrived, so they offered it on the house. Finally, our mains came out shortly after we had finished our entre. They were simple but good. I ate the beef ribs and mash, while my cousin had the penne alla vodka. I think this place has potential, but they do really need to work on the service.

   Service was excellent the tasting menu and wine pairing very generous servings. Our booking was a Tues this may have reflected on the standard of food presentation

   Perfect date night, with 4 course and paired wines for 3 of the courses. Started with raw beef caparccio and prosecco, then beetroot salad, 3 cheese croquettes and pinot noir, barramundi for main with pinot grigo. A table outside overlooked the lake and black swans made for a beautiful evening. Lovely food and attentive service. Thank you
