Fantastic food, incredible service and away from the tourists. Drinks were great, food was some of the best I’ve had in a while and the service was world class yet causal. Would go back again even tonight…
Food was delicious and service great. Will definitely return. Perhaps $75.00 without tax and tip was a bit steep - but we had a lovely evening and were very happy to support a great local business.
My mother and I went to Little Giant for their special Portland Wine Week dinner and were not disappointed. The food was delicious, and the wine pairings were tasty and interesting. I appreciated that they included some wines I wouldn't normally try. Service was great. The sommelier even took the time to come talk with us about chilled reds when my mom asked a question. Can't wait to go back and try their regular menu.
We love this restaurant! The service and food were perfect for all the generations in our party.
We had a wonderful brunch! It was outdoor covered seating in the back, which I didn't even know existed -- it lets the breeze through, but protects you from the direct sun. (If you want more direct sun, there are outdoor tables along the street, too, with umbrellas.) The menu was, by Maine standards, fairly unusual -- only the kids menu had the standards. We arrived at 12:30, and the Huevos Rancheros were sold out -- so arrive early if you're interested in that favorite! That said, it's menu of tasty and artistic takes on brunch fare, so be prepared to explore interesting taste sensations!
The outdoor back patio is cozy and fun little spot to enjoy brunch. The portions were very generous and the food was delicious. I feel the service could’ve been a little more friendly but overall was a good experience. The brunch cocktails were perfect, and everything was very reasonably priced as well.
Service was fantastic and so was the food! This is a great gem off the beaten path.
What a gem this is. Casual but extraordinary food and service.
We have eaten two times at Little Giant recently. Each of the meals was outstanding. The food is reliably excellent and creative. Our server and bartender made a point of making some of our off-menu favorite martini requests happen, and they were delicious!!
Lots of creative large and small plates. My favorite were the crispy artichokes with anchovy aioli.
Black rice with scallops wonderful
French fries too salty but crispy
Excellent in every way. The food was truly outstanding, atmosphere lovely and the staff was wonderful. I would absolutely recommend it!
Great menu… and friendly staff. The food was fresh,,creative , beautiful and satisfying. There were a few hiccups in service, however, we all have those nights. As we creep back in to dining out, I would remind customers to be patient… and kind.
Fresh and flavorful cuisine, mostly tapas, great sauces!
Unexpected gem in Portland west end neighborhood.
The food was amazing and the service was superb.
Great food! Nice place with good outdoor seating available
Delicious oysters with LG’s own sauce that was superb. Top notch service to go along with excellent food and its presentation.
Sitting at the bar with a great Manhattan and oysters made the world seem rosy and made me believe that we can create something better as a result of the pandemic
I have been here before and absolutely loved it! However, this time I was disappointed by the dessert; a strawberry rhubarb sorbet with strawberry rhubarb jam on top. We were surprised that the jam on top was a little bit spicy – we told the waiter and he went back the kitchen and tasted it himself. He then returned and told us that both he and the chef agreed the rhubarb tasted spicy (for some weird reason) but didn't offer to comp the dessert.
We had a great time. My husband and I work for local hotels and will definitely recommend this little spot to guests seeking a authentic neighborhood dining experience. Great service from Katie. My husband loved their pineapple cocktail and I loved their yeehaw toast foe dessert!
Fabulous, inventive, seafood dishes with great flavor profiles presented beautifully.
Great outdoor space that was heated. We even had them turn the heaters down. Fantastic food.
For the experienced or adventurous foodie would not recommend this if you’re looking for New England comfort cuisine/seafood. save this place for time when you’re eager to try exotic dishes.
The waitress was extremely rude.
Great, low-key neighborhood-y vibe backed by delicious, inventive food. The wait staff was super friendly and very helpful in orchestrating a bunch of fun, shareable dishes for our group of 7.
Little Giant is a restaurant where one will find new ways of cooking food. New flavors and innovation. It is a refreshing change from the usual fare found around town. It appeals to both young and old alike. Glad to have it among our restaurant choices.
Outstanding food and service. Definitely one of the best in Portland
A must visit if in Portland, we go here regularly for both easy weeknight vibes or special occasions. The food is awesome, get lots of apps to share. Best burger I’ve ever had. My fav neighborhood spot. Hands down.
The food is a bit overpriced and a bit overdone. Butter on everything. Nice ambience and staff.
One of the few places that accepts reservations for Sunday brunch! Delicious! A little overpriced for portions but very good!
Outstanding meal and service
Fantastic! Everything about our experience at Little Giant was perfect! Everyone is so friendly. The setting is cozy and fun and the meal was beyond delicious!!
Excellent service and food. Highly recommended......
Great food and service! Will be back.
The food was all DELICIOUS. Drinks were unique and well done. Service was excellent. Can’t wait to return!
Food was amazing, and the back patio has such great ambiance!
Great experience - amazing food, presentation, service and ambiance - can’t wait to come back!
Excellent Mother’s Day brunch! Delicious cocktails and great food, all on their lovely covered patio. Can’t wait to return for dinner soon!
