   Amazing farm to table food. Staff are all incredibly friendly. Could not say enough great things about this place. Also get the bone marrow appetizer. It was awesome.

   Great waiter - Si (spelling?). Fun spot with great views of park. Huge windows. Delicious food with best bread pudding ever for dessert. Tavern tables are a little low for dining, but we managed. Will return. Fun experience!

   Big and airy space but cold in the back dining room. We all had to put our coats back on. Food was good and portions generous. Surprisingly, the half & half served with our coffee was spoiled. They replaced it with regular milk and said they did not have any other. When someone else in our party ordered coffee with half & half, the server did not seem to have problem locating a fresh one...🤔

   I liked the place a lot. I found the music a bit on the loud side—it was difficult to hear my friend sitting across from me. The music was good tho.

   The service was excellent until the end, when I asked for Splenda for my tea 4x and never received it. The appetizer (tuna tartare) was delicious. The main (Black Cod) was ok. The mushroom toast was delicious; the cod slightly tough and not that tasty. Dessert was delicious - chocolate souffle.

    Birthday …. The dishes (Branzino, mushroom ravioli and chicken dishes) were lovely as were the cider donuts. Service was very slow and our 6:45 rez dinner wrapped up at 9:30. It was lovely though and we will return as we u fer stand staffing challenges.

    Our waiter was very kind and approachable. We loved the ambiance, the glassware was beautiful, coffee was great and we especially loved the Johnny Cakes!

    Our first time here and it definitely will not be the last!! Amazing food and service! The menu was diverse enough for everyone to find something they like. I had corn flake French toast which was amazing and my daughter had the burger. Can’t wait to go back and try something else!

    Nice ambience. Restaurant was a bit loud. Too many different servers. Bar service was slow. Food was good, but didn’t have a lunch menu, only brunch, even at 1:30 on a Saturday. Even though I asked, as our section of the restaurant cleared out, we were “tossed out”, and asked to move to the bar area if we wanted to continue to hang out, so we just left.

    The ambiance and service was spectacular. I’m not a huge brunch fan, so from the brunch menu the food was average. I’ll definitely be back but to try the dinner menu

    Really enjoyed my experience here. Ambiance was great, decor not overbearing or cheesy (news flash, there are no reclaimed barns in midtown manhattan) and most importantly the food was excellent. Went for brunch and really enjoyed the Johnny Cakes with Ricotta and Honeycomb, topped with berries. The Huevos Chilaquiles was outstanding and better than any I've had at several other well regarded brunch spots. Definitely plan to go back again in the near future.

    Missteps in service, wrong wines poured, allergies not taken into consideration when assured they would, vegetarian options sounded delicious but dessert-sweet butternut ravioli w/salty Swiss chard was not a crowd pleaser, obviously. Somewhat of a disappointment.

    They made us eat in the front, in the bar area. I am convinced they are too lazy to open the proper dining room area with real tables. Instead, they make you sit at high tops, very small round tables, or tables (that are not level) with couches as seats. This is a real restaurant and they are too lazy to let their customers sit are real tables. Shameful.

    We've been here several times and love the vibe. Today was AWFUL. Service was horrible. I don't know if they were understaffed or if it was that our server was new/bad or something else but the service was absolutely terrible. She kept telling us we couldn't make easy modifications to the food and didn't come back to confirm that the kitchen was able to accomodate us when she said she would. When we asked she was a bit argumentative saying" I told you they could do it" when in fact she had never even returned to the table since taking the order 20 minutes earlier. Our drinks (coffee, iced tea, mimosa) took over 15 minutes to get delivered and only because we flagged down a busser. The Johnny cakes were cold--the omelettes were not particularly hot when they came out either---all in all the place was WAY off their game and I am in no hurry to go back anytime soon based on this last experience.

    This was my third time at Black Barn and my sister's first time. She loved it from the start, remarking on the vibe and ambiance. We were seated in the front area, and it was lovely. Airy and chill. Everything was perfect for our sister lunch. We each had a turkey BLT, and shared the burrata to start. My sister enjoyed two glasses of wine, which she loved. In all, a wonderful time was hard at Black Barn.

    Very disappointing. We got there early to have a drink at the bar. Bartender ignored us until we spoke up. BTW - the place was fairly empty. Drinks was below average. When being seated we asked the hostess to get the contact info for the events team as we were interested in a possible takeover of the place in May. She said she would bring over the info while we ate. Never saw her again. Waiter was very slow and uninterested. The only person on the ball was the busgirl. Food was average and everything was slow and without care. We did not stay for dessert as we were not enjoying it. The restaurant was barely 33% occupied so there was no reason to be disinterested in serving us.

    The service was AMAZING. The recommendation from the waiter is so great, also we got to try a new year special wine on the house. The food is absolutely delicious, and the price is very reasonable. The environment is so sick and on new year eve I could still be able to book a last minute table which was insane. Literally one of the most underrated restaurants in the city. We had 3 to start, 3 main dishes, 1 dessert, and 1 bottle of sparking wine. We spent a good quality of time there for a night. Definitely would come back later and highly recommended!!!

    Had a very pleasant dinner here. Food was good and service was prompt. It wasn’t particularly busy, so ambient noise was low, restaurant temperature was good. It’s a nicely decorated space. We had a few dishes to share and went home totally full. Beautiful shot of espresso to finish the night.

    The tavern area was poorly laid out. We are with family and kids. Chairs were uncomfortable, table was too low in comparison, not really the setting for a meal. They should have offered us sit somewhere else.

    Amazing place, it's rustic but modern at the same time. It has multiple rooms with different atmospheres, looks like a great place to hold different venues and events for small to large groups as well. Service was great, the food was plenty and flavorful and just the right size. Wish the bone marrow fish had 2 pieces. First time there and we loved it, had amazing time.

    Disappointing. Food was very sub par, the margarita pizza mostly inedible and not worth the price. Service was also bad, every time we needed water or place an order we had to go find somebody. Atmosphere was nice and cozy, the live music was great, but we will not be coming back. Terrible value.
