Manzo Ristorante - Eataly NYC Flatiron
Just another super terrific Sunday brunch
We had omelette and eggs Benedict which were yummy but that’s just the beginning
The hostesses are personable and caring, visiting the table to be sure all is good And our server was attentive and friendly
Best of all the Jazz/blues. And make the brunch special
Where else can you go with such a great combo
And the place is full of young families
Kids are all over the place but the layout makes It easy for the parents and nice fir us without kids
Love this place
Excellent all around. Great atmosphere, attentive service, excellent food. Great for a business dinner but I can see this as a great date place as well or a night out with friends.
I absolutely loved Blackbarn Restaurant. The service was top notch and the food was high quality and delicious. It was my birthday and the staff went out of their way to make it special. I will definitely be recommending to family and friends and plan to be back soon.
Went to eat here the other night with my boyfriend. Great location and great looking restaurant. We were so excited to have dinner here since my boyfriend had been 3 years prior and raved about it. I think the chef/ownership must have changed since, the food was good but a bit overpriced for the quality. Happy we went on a Sunday when it was half off all wines!
A unique and delicious place!! It’s become my go to-
And I come down from Riverdale!
The dishes are inventive, the dining space unique and accommodating in a million ways, as a table of 1 or 100
Miss here- ❤️❤️❤️
Food was amazing. Everything we tried was delicious
Very good, beautiful space.
Service was horrible. After taking our order, our waitress ignored us for the rest of the night. By the time our main dish arrived, our sparkling wine was flat. We had to ask three people for service before finally asking fir the manager. In the meantime, the numerous staff was busy setting up tables for the following day, completely ignoring us. The manager did discount our bill but our Saturday night was ruined and the staff spoiled what should have been a special meal and left us begging for the check so we could leave.
We got a table in a side room for this far-too-rare gathering if friends. The staff was lovely and food was delicious.
This restaurant has great aesthetics and ambiance, the service was very friendly and prompt. The food was very hit or miss, some aspects of my entree were outstanding, such as the Mac and cheese but the quality of the steak was sub par. I would be willing to give Blackbarn a second try.
Love this restaurant!
Really great food, decor, spirit. Completely ruined by the ear splitting noise level. Sigh.
Tuna Tartare and mac and cheese croquettes were stellar.
Good wine selection.
However I have had better dining experiences at other restaurants with equivalent menus in NYC.
Service was rather slow as we neared the end of our meal. We had to catch a train so no dessert to celebrate a birthday.
Steak was too fatty for a NY strip and the prawn was overcooked.
Wings were ok.
It was an amazing restaurant all around. We were taken past a bar room and that had some small tables as well through a hallway into a huge room with amazing lighting and the most sophisticated feel. It had very romantic lighting and the mood was great. The food was absolutely spectacular, I ordered the ribs and my boyfriend ordered the chick, and appetizers as well as the bread bowl were amazing. Our waitress was extremely nice and conversational and helped a lot with all the questions we had. Overall an amazing experience and I would definetely visit again. We even told them it was our anniversary and they brought us cute little donuts as a gift as well as a goat cheese tart during our appetizers. LOVE LOVE LOVE
Lovely food, nice wine list and good service...just a bit loud!
I’ve visited Blackburn a number of times for dinner over the years – glad that it has remained largely consistent. One of my favorites on the menu is the tuna entre. Simply delicious.
Love this place- unique. Local.interesting-
Brunch is Devine- Dinner is awesome!
You will not be sorry-
I love this place-
Come one, come all!
Great service! Great food!
Consistently great food and service. I was glad to introduce 3 friends to Blackbarn for a get together. They were very impressed with the food, it’s preparation and generous portions , we despise precious food and Blackbarn is not that restaurant. The vibe is authentic, friendly and comfortable.
We didn’t realize it was restaurant week and not only was everything delicious but a bargain as well
Excellent service and delicious food, as always. Thank you for a lovely date night completed with a kind gesture from the manager 🙏🏾
Food was good but had to wait 45 minutes past our reservation to be seated at our table. Management comped a round of drinks but was not apologetic or friendly. Overheard waitstaff talking about our party repeatedly asking if our table was ready. Probably won’t be back
The baby octopus was extremely tender. The accompanying bland chickpea puree was saved by the gremolata, and the refreshing fennel salad.
The whole roasted fennel is deceiving - the fennel sits alone on the left side while the equal sized "salad" comprised of a red beets at the base with mesclun, blood orange sections, goat cheese, and tuille on top - sits on the right side. I am not sure they paired well - especially a bite of fennel and beet. And, the fennel was begging for a dusting of ras el hanout during the roasting process.
The chocolate mousse was right up their with Buvette with its richness and density. I am not sure I needed the brownie chunks, but I ate them anyway. I felt guilty eating the whole thing, but I had no one with whom to share!
Very nice evening, food was excellent, the waiter was very good and loved the look of the place
All around winner! Delicious food, great service and perfect ambiance. We'll be back.
Amazing everything... food, atmosphere, service... needless to say, I can't wait to go back!
Very Poor service - waited really long for food (>45 min) and waiter wasn’t helpful nor understanding. He was a bit of a jerk about the entire situation and hard to find.
All seemed good but the server wasn’t the greatest.
I really did not appreciate him putting the check on the table when we didn’t even ask for it.
It was only about 9.30pm
Casual, comfortable setting, great food, underwhelming service for the price. Nice wine menu but pricey French red was served warm at room temp.
Was New Year’s Day and my friend’s birthday and couldn’t be better. The atmosphere is great. Although lots of kids, the restaurant is spread out so it’s easy to find a quieter table. The base and guitar playing was a wonderful holiday/brunch perk. A lot of energy but not noisy. The host found a quiet table as I requested the menu for brunch is diverse. I had a super omelette and my friend has an extraordinary burger. Our server, Esteban, made it an exceptionally pleasant celebration. I’ve been to Black Barn several times . It’s a great destination place if you are in the Madison park area but it is also a locals place. All good... great!
Everything was great with the exception it took about an hour 20 mins between our apps and entrees. Kitchen VERY slow but understood given the holiday, would still visit again.
The food was outstanding as was the service. The ambiance was very cool too. I will be back!
Made a last minute booking on a Sunday evening, which was perfect! Great food and service, and a relaxed place with nice atmosphere 👍 extra treat on Sundays (at the moment) with 50% on wine bottles. Good proportion of the food. Would definitely go back!
We made a reservation for two at 7.30 pm and when we arrived we were seated in the bar area that was almost empty and with not ambiance at all ...I told them I had a reservation and wanted to be seated inside the restaurant but was told that my reservation was made the same day and that they didnt have tables available inside. The food was good but I didn’t appreciate not being seated in the main restaurant...they should not accept reservations when their dining room is full
Always great drinks and great food. Nice venue and definitely different than many places in NYC. Worth going to!
All around great!
Food was great!
Shrimp and grits we're good, chicken and waffles were decent.
We were at the Blackbarn for brunch. Everything was pretty good from food to service. One thing to note is that there is definitely a break between brunch-dinner, so since our girls brunch got extended with some extra conversation, it got really quiet at some point...
Ok food, subpar experience. We were greeted by the gracious host and seated in the Tavern section for the evening with the option to order from either menu, which was convenient. While I will note that many of the dishes has nice ingredients, the configurations were off. The kale salad had entirely too much butternut squash and was overly sweet. If that aspect were omitted, the salad would have been impeccable. I also felt that the bone marrow had too many breadcrumbs (over 50%) which gave it a weird consistency. The sirloin steak was also tough, which should not have been the case with a supposed premium cut. While I understand it wasn't filet mignon, it was more "labor intensive" than it should have been. To top it off, the service was extremely lacking with empty glasses more than half of the time and having to flag the server down for most of our meal for basic things. I even had to grab the dessert menu from the host stand because he was nowhere to be found and we didn't have all night. All in all, the experience was borderline ok for what it was. However, with a premium price tag for an experience that missed the mark, it doesn't warrant a return. This was brought to management's attention and they regarded it as a mere difference of opinion rather than issues that should be addressed. With so many options, I wouldn't quite recommend. On to the next.....
