Blending American cuisine with the neighborhood’s cultural history, the menu is eclectic and vibrant. The pairing of global street cocktails from Bali to Brazil adds to its culinary spirit, and a spacious patio and happy hour specials make this our community’s new favorite place to come together.

We ordered almost everything on the menu, and it was all delicious. Everything is awesome here
One of the best new spots in OKC with the BEST and most creative cocktails in town!
Service was absolutely the best. Anne was our waitress, she was friendly, informative, and got everything just right. Food was very good, and value for our overall experience was excellent. As instructed, I parked in the underground Maywood area, but there's no signage telling how to get to the restaurant.
Had reservations but they tried to seat me at the bar. Waitress was not good, had to listen to the waiter at next table to hear specials. Wrong food was delivered to table, and multiple times dinks and food we're bright to table that was not ours.
First time dining at Black Walnut. The food and service was excellent! The menu is very limited and somewhat difficult to decipher...it'd be easier to just describe the entrees. We inquired about salads for instance and were told they had none...but actually they do...it's just not called a salad. The acoustics are really bad too...NOTHING to damper the sounds of people talking which easily echos through the whole place. I don't mean this to be overly critical. Again, I must say the food and service was excellent and I look forward to another visit soon.
Our first time at Black Walnut and it was nothing short of an amazing experience. The chef is so creative and for even the most demand foodie would find this restaurant just incredible. A most creative menu, an engaged and upbeat staff and unique cocktails. This restaurant is in the up and coming area of town and if you find yourself in OKC, make sure you book a reservation. Can't wait to go back.
Great meal and service. We’ll be back to try their diner sometime.
I had one of the most disgusting cocktails I have ever had. The Thai one on, Will stay with me forever. Very noisy and a server who literally came back once to check on us the entire meal. Looks great just not a lot of substance.
Food fabulous. Menu was hard to understand and not sure what we ordered and hoping it would be good. Thank goodness it was. Great for a intimate date.
The staff was very, very nice and the environment was pleasant. The food was good and I liked that it was different, but also had some familiar items with a twist. I enjoyed the way the menu was set up as well. The only negative was that it took a while for the food to arrive, however, we were having great conversation and we weren't starving, so we dealt with it ok. Plus the food was fresh. This was a pleasant dining experience. My friends and I ate outside, so the only thing was that it is was very close to the street. This is not unusual for large cities, but it is something to get used to in OKC. It wasn't too bad though. I loved the decor and the chairs!!
Great tomahawk steak
Excellent food and service. Unique offerings and flavors of food and drink. Our server Allegra was fantastic!
The tomahawk steak is the best.and the Brussels sprouts and potatoes are amazing
An unassuming place, but with delicious food and fantastic service. Not an extremely intimate place, so if you’re looking for privacy for a date night, etc. it may not be the right choice for you. But if you’re looking for excellent cuisine and service this restaurant certainly delivers!
Our waiter was awesome and did a great job of keeping up with out needs and making perfect recommendations. The food was outstanding. Tomahawk steak is stellar!
Great food and service!!! Will definitely be back when we are in town!!!
You would have to be "walnutty" to not try this restaurant. Black Walnut is an excellent option for a date night or just a casual, yet chic, dinner with friends. Anne was our server and she was vibrant, knowledgable, and gave wonderful recommendations for our meal.
The tomahawk ribeye for two was totally worth it and delicious. Our server, Anne, was wonderful!
Food was different and outstanding. I like their approach of doing a few things really well. Our server (who also happened to be the manager) took really good care of us and did a great job, despite being a little short handed.
Very nice environement. However from the start it was strange. Enterance door to the restaurant is awkward, not through what looks like a main gate. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks, 1 hr for appetizers and another hour for main course. It is so loud you cant hear anything including the waitresses. Sad because food was phenomenal, but likely we wont go backever again. Dont recommend for gatherings since u cant hear your friend talk!
Our waitress was phenomenal. She new the menu very well and made our dining experience amazing. We will definitely be back.
The staff and food at Black Walnut are exceptional. Daniel was fantastic and totally enhanced our visit. It is a more expensive restaurant but worth every penny! My only issue is being a person with older ears it became more difficult to hear as more people sat down. But that’s probably more me. But still worth it!
Our first and only visit here was for Sunday brunch. The restaurant was not busy, but the staff, while friendly, struggled to keep up. We were dining with three people, but only two out of the three meals came out initially. The food was tasty, but cold. The third meal was delivered about 10 minutes after the first two had arrived.
My waitress, an AA lady, was attentive and kind. The food was amazing and so was the drink that I had. Great place for girl's night or date night
A little loud
Great atmosphere, great food. Service was great. Loud inside, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Excellent service and the food was outstanding. We will definitely be coming back!
Food was excellent! A little pricey and SUPER LOUD! Definitely would be good to invest in some sound dampening.
Shared some apps cause we were on a tight schedule. Wait staff was awesome. Food was superb! Great atmosphere and fun!
Food was fantastic! Was there for business dinner and ordered a little of everything. It was all good!
Everything we ate was exceptional. Service was great as well. This place is killer.
My boyfriend and I dined at Black Walnut for his birthday. The style and atmosphere of the restaurant is really cool. The decor made the restaurant look nice and fancy while the atmosphere was very chill and fun. Our server was very pleasant and helpful. She explained the menu very well (you will probably need it explained to you too). This is not a traditional menu at all! We shared the Quail and hush puppies for an appetizer. The jelly that comes with it is so delicious! My boyfriend enjoyed the flatiron steak and I got the English ribs. Everything was so tasty. They have very unique and fun cocktails too! I had Fantastic Beets and Where to Find Them. I loved it! It has a strong beet taste and I love beets! We will be back soon!
We had a lovely meal here for my boyfriend's birthday. When I made the reservations, I mentioned the occasion and every staff member made sure to stop by and wish him a happy birthday. The service was fantastic, and we were allowed to linger over our meal and take our time. We never felt rushed. The atmosphere was upscale without being pretentious and the cocktails were original and delicious. The food was superb! The tomahawk steak was more than worth the wait - perfectly seasoned and juicy, and the mac and cheese was to die for! We were given their signature black walnut cake as a birthday gift which was divine! All in all, this was one of the best meals I've ever had in OKC and we can't wait to go back for future celebrations (or maybe just a Wednesday evening)!
We went to Black Walnut
Loved our dinner. We enjoyed the mixture of food choices from different flavors. The bar also had some really great unique drinks.
It took an hour for my ears and hearing to recover! Not a place to enjoy catching up with friends if you plan to have meaningful conversation.
Food was VERY good. The fish...the wine...the black walnut cake. Very good. The waitstaff was attentive and made the evening so enjoyable. We will be back.
Great new addition to the Oklahoma City dining scene.
The food was amazing. I had heard good things, and this confirmed all of them!
Tried Black Walnut for brunch and wasn’t impressed. Coffee was good, assumably because the restaurant is connected to La Baguette. Small limited menu. The eggs were cooked perfectly. Expected more quality for the money knowing all of the other options in OKc. The steak was way over done and not a great cut of meat. Took forever to get our food too which was odd since the steak was cut up and just eggs a tomato avocado salad that’s likely already prepared...
