We went for brunch and to watch English Premier League soccer and had the BEST time! Great food , service and environment! Our new favorite place !
Fabulous cocktails and delicious food served in a unique setting.
Nice place - but food came out cold 👎
We’ve heard such great things about this restaurant and we were not surprised to find that what we had heard was true. Amazing atmosphere, tasty food and drinks, wonderful service! We can’t wait to go back!
Very authentic English pub. Loved the décor
Great night with great food and great drinks!
Food was ok … very very very limited menu. Totally overpriced ….. but it’s Asbury everything is.. the part
That was unforgivable though was the hundreds of
Bugs flying around on the bathroom
We really enjoyed dinner at Black Swan and waited way too long to stop by! We had the cheddar bacon tots, scotch egg, and potstickers, then the fish and chips, burger, and linguine with clam sauce. Everything was delicious! Favorites were probably the scotch egg and burger. Drinks were great too- lots of great options and all the cocktails we had were really good. We'll be back!
Everything was great! Our server was very friendly, food was delicious! Try the baked Brie it was probably our favorite part of the meal!
Elegant British comfort food with a twist
The ambiance was perfect, spacious yet cozy, music was more club-like but still nice and it was not too loud. Chicken Tikka Masala was absolutely delicious, Mahi Mahi dinner special as well. Definitely coming back for other events.
Very good food from starters to main course everything was excellent.
Way too expensive for the kind of place it is. With a tip almost $ 100 for 2 people with nothing extravagant,
Overall I would return for the cocktails & starters... Warm Olives & Nuts were delicious, The cocktails were amazing.
Downside was the crackers that came with the Brie were stale, and my battered cod on the inside was still wet & a bit soggy. Though the cod was perfectly done on the inside and ate that. The server never came to ask how the food was and we had to flag her down for the check. And the place was not overly crowded, and saw the other table's server more than her.
Food was fabulous & the service even better!! Bridgette was our hostess & sat us in the cocktail room before our table was ready, she was such a great host, even on a VERY busy night! We didn't feel rushed & the manager was walking around making sure everyone was happy. We can't wait to come back!!
Food and drinks were delicious. The waiter was wonderful. Nice atmosphere!
Drinks were good the food was terrible!!!! Was excited to come because we live in Asbury and it seemed like a wonderful addition but-that would be a NO! Will try one more time and order different food. We shall see.
Menu was interestingly varied.
Fairly expensive for lunch.
The restaurant is quaint and relaxing. The service was superb. We had the special steak from Ireland that night and it melted in your mouth. The servers recommendation on a drink was spot on. We will be returning
The chicken tikka masala is delish. Also appreciated the warm olives with nuts. Service was great!
Beautifully decorated restaurant, wonderful cocktails, great food. Will be going back.
Average food. Good drinks but overpriced. Turned off by the 3% service charge on top of already very high prices.
Great place! Servers are friendly and attentive. Decor and atmosphere are wonderful. Beat drink choices as well. Food is delicious.
Food was really good. Service was not good. Never asked for refills or really made an effort to make the experience good. I don’t know if we would come back.
Love the relative authenticity of this Brit pub right here in Asbury Park. Fish and Chips are ace.
Hospitality, atmosphere, service, and food are top knotch!
I highly recommend this pub for a great time and delicious food!
1st Time Visit for my birthday. Overall experience was wonderful! I will be a return customer.
Everything was great, excellent service, excellent food! Noise level was too loud but I think it was just because it was Sunday game day. Coming back one week later with more people to eat on Saturday night👍🏻
Amazing! Great service, cocktails and food! Loved the ambiance too.
Great place. Very cool and interesting inside. Was dark in some books brighter in the big room. Great decor. Friendly service. Good food and drink. Great neighborhood
We love the place, our waitress was awesome. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the steak bites as an appetizer and I had a tikka masala for dinner. D-lush.
The appetizers were great. The entrées not so much. The shepherds pie made with beef was very dry and didn’t taste so great. They also charged a 3% service charge for using a credit card. I find this ridiculous when the bill is $260. It’s such a cheap money grab that it’s insulting. I also was not told about it and it was never explained.
The food was really good. Tasty, well presented, fairly authentic for British pub food (from a gastropub).
The fish and chips were great, tasty, well cooked, not to oily, came with malt vinegar.
The shepherds pie was a great take on a traditional shepherds pie, and the French onion soup was just what it should be.
It's a bit dark in there, and the music is quite loud so not a relaxed pub environment, but the Guinness is some of the best in the area so that makes up for it.
The service was great, the server was super friendly, but when they'd cleared our plates away they bought the check without offering another drink or desert. Which was a good thing for our health, but we may well have ordered more drinks if offered.
great experience, as the food was excellent and the table at which we were seated was perfect, as we were in the front room, so we were away from the noise, which was exceptionally loud in the bar and the main dining area.
The interior design is gorgeous but there was no attention to sound design and the cavernous space makes for a very unpleasant dining experience. Food was disappointing. Our server James tried really hard but he didn’t have the support he deserved.
Good was fantastic. Ambiance was great. Would definitely go back again.
The service and food was outstanding! Will bring my family to enjoy the food!
The food was delicious! We dined here several times and are never disappointed. Fast and courteous service!
My wife and I met Chef James last summer and he mentioned he was opening a new sister restaurant to his very successful Bonny Reade seafood restaurant . We walked by Black Swan one recent day and asked to see the menu, the space looked awesome , so we decided to book a table for dinner . Great choice ! The bar area is outstanding , great bartender , great vibe . Excellent selection of beers on tap ( 20 oz ) and cans/ bottles , good value . The decor and level of prompt service was excellent ! Menu is somewhat limited as it is a startup and billed as a gastropub , but was clearly well curated by Chef James and his team . Hopefully they will expand the entree choices over time . We were very pleased with the overall experience and will definitely return !
