I would describe the food as a combination between contemporary English food, cooked with an understanding of French techniques, and hearty pub food. We aim to offer a slightly more polar menu to cater for everyones appetite. Ranging from Italian truffle & lobster through to lasagne and sandwiches. We continue to try and improve techniques day by day, so you will truly never have the same meal twice. Food here is not cooked by recipes, its cooked by taste and gut feeling.

Very disappointing. 3 of our party ordered the scallop starter and we had 3 scallops between us. The waitress did not ask how we wanted our steak cooked. We left.

We had a most enjoyable evening. We were welcomed on a cold night by two log fires and welcoming smiles. The Inn is full of antiques - we asked who cleans all the brass! Service was quick and friendly and the food delicious. There were many items on the menu that I fancied but didn't have so have booked to return for lunch this coming week. Can't wait!

A really lovely Sunday lunch, a beautiful roast beef main, quick and friendly service, well kept beer and very reasonable prices.

Family lunch, the food was fantastic, waiting time good, courteous and attentive server, without being over the top. Beautiful historic building with amazing antiques. The garden is lovely and I saw them pick a lettuce to take to the kitchen, you can't get fresher than that.
