Enjoyed sitting in the Rooftop area. Service was a little slow as the area filled up but we'll be back.

All of the food was amazing! The Steak Diane was the best ribeye I've ever had and the Korean Braised Short Ribs were great!

The dessert was horrible. Brownie with ice cream is a simple construction and the ice cream had zero flavor. I tried the ramen and found clumps of noodles together, which was a little disappointing but not the worst thing but I would not pay for it again. The server was amazing.

Every time we visit Jacksonville we make it a point to eat at Black Sheep. The fried olives are excellent (I don't like olives) and they have the best grits I have ever tasted.

My friend and I made a last min reservation here after a very unsatisfactory experience at a nearby restaurant. We wanted to get a rooftop table here but a 30 min wait didn’t seem appealing so we chose to dine downstairs. Our server was a very polite and attentive young man who was a welcome relief from the experience we had earlier in the evening at River and Post. We actually left that restaurant after we had waited 15 mins and not even gotten a glass of water at our table.
For our dinner experience here, we ordered the smoked trout rillettes and wow!! It was delicious! I’d definitely order that again. For my entree I ordered the braised lamb neck. While I loved the flavor, I was not a fan of the rice cakes that are added to it. It had a very gummy texture and did nothing for the dish. At first I thought it was pasta but the texture is so unpleasant that I just put it aside.
My friend got the grass fed burger with a side of Mac and cheese. That Mac and cheese.....is to die for!! O. M. G!! They used to have the blue cheese savory bread pudding but I don’t see it on the menu now. This Mac and cheese is right up there with that pudding. One bite of it made my night. I was done, satisfied and ready to go home with it!!
Whatever Black Sheep is doing, I hope they stay in business for a long time. The service is always friendly and attentive and the food is phenomenal.

Very positive feedback from my business guests. We enjoyed the roof top dining experience. Great ambience. Food for the price point was average but certainly not exceptionally good. Would return.

Our waiter Corbett was very attentive and knew the menu so he could offer suggestions. The pasta was mouthwatering and the shrimp and grits took us back to childhood. The Dusty Boot is a drink all bourbon lovers should try. Thank you fir a great time!

From the interior décor and ambiance to the friendly and engaging server, I knew this was a good find. Recommended by a local, the restaurant has high quality new American dishes that aren't afraid to experiment with classics. The ingredients are farm-to-table and sourced from North Florida and South Georgia. We ordered the poutine, which includes a divine local pastrami to the classic dish. The classic shrimp and grits were outstanding, while the Short Ribs - done with a Korean flair - were exquisite. The wine, beer, and whiskey list is top notch. The prices, which may be higher than average for the area, aren't out of the realm for a large city's best restaurant. And this is one of Jacksonville's best restaurants.

Food was amazing, staff was helpful and attentive. I had asked multiple questions regarding the menu to both our server and the gentleman who brought our water, and they were both very knowledgeable on the menu. The restaurant was busy, but I was still able to have a quiet conversation without shouting across the table to my SO. All in all a great experience, delicious food and I would definitely go back.

The place is too overpriced for such a small amount of food. The food was dry and stale and they don’t sing happy birthday which is awful.

My girlfriends and I went for dinner and it was marvelous. We enjoyed the Fried Olives stuffed with pimento and the Fried Green Tomatoes as starters. My friends had the shrimp and grits which they both loved and I had the Steak Diane with a side of Mac and Cheese. Black Sheep has a scrumptious Mac and Cheese. Their staff is always attentive to detail and friendly.

We stopped in for brunch Sunday morning and chose to sit on the roof. All the food we ordered was delicious and the view was awesome. It was a little chilly outside, but they had heaters available for us to warm up with. As for food, we got the poutine appetizer which was deliciously covered in cheese and gravy.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Black Sheep. I took my girls there for a Saturday brunch celebrating both my birthday and my Soror and I's Founders day. It was a great find. The venue was beautiful, Service top notch and food just simply divine to say the least. I would definitely go ago.

This is a very nice place. I feel it is a little pricey, but given the neighborhood it is in, it is not out of the ordinary.
We had their Sunday fried chicken special for 2 and it was delightful. I am not a collard greens fans, but I ate these and they were the best I've ever had. Black eyed peas were excellent also. Mashed potatoes were fairly ordinary, but the gravy was super. For desert I tried the French Toast bread pudding with cinnamon ice cream. The pudding itself was a little dry , and needed a little more cinnamon and nutmeg, but the cinnamon ice cream was amazing. Skip the pudding and ask for the ice cream.
Service was excellent. My water glass was never empty. The servers were attentive but not over bearing.

We went for New Year's Eve, and there was a good vibe. Our seating was a bit awkward and off to the side. Good waitress. Food was very expensive for what it was--not that different from other menus around town and quality was good but not great. We did like the fried olives as a starter and the wine was good. Not sure I would go back, but the waitress was very nice and upbeat and it seemed to have a great night scene, especially for the upstairs bar.

The new winter 2017-2018 dinner menu is truly special. It's the best combination of items I've seen in some time. The new presentation for the Berkshire pork chop is perfect for the season. The roasted Brussels sprouts with pair well with the various mains. The newest and most different item, the lamb neck, was a pleasant surprise. It has a great Asian flavor with the five spice. It's served like a stew. Sounds strange but it's perfectly assembled and worth a try.

Once again the service was great. Black Sheep has really worked to keep their service consistent and it shows. It's what keeps us coming back.

What a restaurant! Took my girlfriend here for a much-needed date night. Everything was absolutely perfect. It was December so it was cold but we still sat outside and the lamp warmers kept us warm the entire night. We didn't even notice the cold. The view was absolutely beautiful and the drinks and service were amazing! We would definitely go back here again.

Blacksheep is consistently serving delicious food with great service. Our go to for brunch twice to three times a month. Very clean including spotless bathrooms. A beautiful rooftop bar and seating for good weather dining and drinking.

The menu has several veggie options. I have had most options on the brunch menu and all delicious. One of the few places offering nova salmon and bagels, YUM ! The salads are delicious and the club sandwich is exceptional. The handcrafted cocktails and martinis are delicious and a very good and fairly priced wine list. Attentive and professional service.

Highly recommended. !!

Very inventive menu. Great beer selection with some local features and interesting cocktails. Friendly service. Food was beautifully plated and creative.... only critique would be that everything was too salty. Pull back the sodium and it would have been a perfect meal.

Was in Jax for a meeting, and the place we wanted to go had no seating. Took a chance on Black Sheep — it had been mentioned in Florida Trend, and all 5 of us were impressed. The food was interesting, creative and, even better, delicious. Nice beer and wine menu too. I’ll go back and have already recommended it to others.
