Black Sheep Restaurant
We ended up on the roof, which was a nice surprise! Great experience as always!
We always enjoy our meals here. They are amazing and interesting.
Everything was great except that service was a little slow. It wasn't very crowded so I felt the wait for the food was a little long. Especially for something as simple as a sausage omelet. I enjoyed it though and will go back again.
My only compliant is that the crème brulee tastes more like some sort of pudding rather than a brulee.
Even though the food was delicious the cost doesn’t make sense with the portion amounts and quality of service.
We make a point of coming to the Sheep when we visit Jax. We love the food, service and atmosphere.
I absolutely love Black Sheep! My experience is always excellent from food to drinks to service. I would definitely recommend visiting this gem and sitting on the rooftop of you can, beautiful ambiance!
Great food on the rooftop deck.
It was good, not great. I got the impression that they were trying to be something they weren't. I still enjoyed myself. Will definitely recommend to others, may go back myself.
My first visit to Black Sheep. Great location in RIverside. I took a friend to lunch for her birthday. I made a res in advance on Open Table and mentioned that it was a birthday lunch. I also mentioned it to the server. You would think they would stick a candle in a small piece of pastry and bring it out. Nothing... The deviled eggs were very mediocre. My wedge salad was average. I've had better Bloody Marys too.
Heard so much about Black Sheep so having a rare date night and tickets to the Florida Theater we wanted to try it. The service was great and the food good.
One of our favorites. We always like Black Sheep and our families visit when them come down from New England.
Our book club met here for dinner on the rooftop, beautiful location, excellent food and service! We will be back!
Experience didn’t meet the hype. Thought the food was pretty average in flavor. Perhaps that’s my wallet talking. Don’t bother asking for the free bread. It’s stale. I think they could use some sort of faucet filter and ice for the fresh city tap water they serve. I do think they’re really trying and putting in the effort to be amazing in every aspect though. It’s just when you sink your teeth in you think ‘Oh. I was bamboozled’.
We sat on the rooftop for brunch and loved the ambiance and vibe. Service was attentive and food came quickly. Creative options on the menu above and beyond normal brunch fare.
Absolutely great service & great atmosphere!
Service was very slow; took 15-20 minutes to get a drink after being seated.
Ambiance and rooftop was great but service was terrible. We waited 30 minutes for an appetizer and 30 more minutes for our entree. Our entire experience was over 2.5 hours and it was ridiculous. We will not be returning
Friendly, efficient staff. Food very good but menu not expansive. Service good. Same problem that many restaurants have with reservations whereby they give 4 tops to only 3 or 4 folks not to two even if you arrive early. All computer generated to maximize seats. Not like old says. Tough to be loyal to a restaurant when they treat you like a number.
Came to Jacksonville for a concert with my mother and had dinner here on the rooftop beforehand. What a fantastic place! Food was beyond amazing, (Get the fried olives for your app, Totally worth it) dinner was fresh and delicious and the atmosphere and view were delightful!
We are new to Jacksonville and wanted to try something new for brunch. The atmosphere and food were amazing! We will definitely be back for more!
Always a good time, great food and great service. Plenty of outdoor seating to bring your pups. Good food and wine selection.
Wonderful experience as always. The staff went above and beyond to make our special night memorable, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food which never fails to impress!
$12 for a Caesar salad is a lot of money and the salad I received was not a $12 salad. I ordered the grilled country ham and cheese sandwich. This is served with an egg on top so you can’t really pick it up like a sandwich. The bread was not toasted/grilled - there was no color to it and the texture was of regular bread, not bread that had been grilled or toasted - and was really nothing special as far as the quality of the bread (I believe they make it in house but it didn’t seem any different than food service bread). The cheese was not melted, the ham was lukewarm at best. The server removed it from the bill but no one from management or the kitchen spoke to me.
Very accommodating. Was able to adjust our request within 15 minutes.
Great roof top ambience. Excellent food - interesting and eclectic. Server was so so
We originally sat in the bar area, but moved to the roof top. The food and service was great. Thanks for the heaters. Looking forward to returning to Black Sheep soon.
Black Sheep is one of my favorite restaurants. I bring all my friends who visit me here. Recently I brought my sister and my daughters. We had excellent cocktails and food. Although it is a bit expensive it is worth every penny.
Rooftop bar is awesome! Food is great and employees very professional and friendly.
Waiter was very unsure about both food and drinks menu. Duck breast bland. Sauce okay. More of a hipster hangout than a high end restaurant.
Lovely casual brunch with plenty of options. They are willing to make changes based on dietary needs.
Beautiful lighting, trendy restaurant with delicious food and excellent service. I will definitely be going back.
The food had excellent flavor and the atmosphere was great
Thanks for the kind review and so glad you enjoyed everything.
Great food and service with a Michael.
Great waitress and manager!
Our waitress, Ashton, was amazing!! She provided assistance with menu when we were uncertain about which dish to choose out of narrowed choices. Service was incredible. Food was delicious and quite creative flavors with each dish. Ambience was great on rooftop!! Phenomenal experience!!
Slow service, toughest steak Diane ever, excellent rooftop view.
Great food with a fantastic view of Jacksonville from the rooftop. Service was on point.
Ordered the eggs Benedict and the cheese on top with the bacon made it really salty. Didn’t enjoy it. Mac n cheese was good.
Went for Sunday brunch on the rooftop and was seated right away. I love that they had breakfast and lunch available at 10am. Great selection and friendly staff.
