Due to our high volume and traffic, we cannot hold tables for parties like a reservation system. We have a system called Priority Seating. This system secures a table within our restaurant, however, it does not guarantee an exact seat by time. Priority is placed on your party, and if we are on a wait, your party is placed on top of the wait list as a priority. We will seat you as fast as possible, but cannot guarantee an exact time. If the restaurant is not busy, we will seat the party upon arrival.

    Not great. We were seated at 6:40 PM and did not get our food until after 8 PM. We receded underneath a AC blowing vent, and it was extremely cold. We did speak with a manager, and they stated that the kitchen was shortstaffed, but our server claimed to have checked on our order multiple times, and yet when we received the food most of it, it was cold, and some of it had been overcooked as if it had been sitting for a long time. The manager did give us a bit of a discount, but it has soured us on the experience, and we will not be returning.

    Our 2nd time there, the waitress was very friendly and explained how to use the stone again. She was very good, but she could have told us her name so I could tell it to you. Will be back again.

    Have been here many times before, but this was the worst experience I've had there. One of the meals (that was cooked in the kitchen) came out over cooked. When we informed the server she said, "That's why we don't normally cook things - because we can't" and proceeded to say that the order should have been done in the hot rock. We informed the manager which was helpful, but then the server came and told us that she got in trouble for what she had told us. In all, a very bad experience.

    Great experience as always. We sat in the 'patio' area instead of the restaurant area this time, and it's definitely a louder atmosphere. If you are looking for more intimate atmosphere where you can have a conversation, choose the restaurant side.

    Block Rock is a beautiful restaurant. The Hostess was friendly and we were seating pretty close to our priority seating time. We were able to get a seat at the bar while waiting about 15 minutes. The bartender was attentive and friendly. Once seated our server was friendly and timely. The food was great. I had a sirloin with mushrooms, coconut shrimp and sweet potato fries. My wife had ribeye and sweet potato mash. Excellent atmosphere and food! We will definitely go back.

    It was our 1st time visiting, our waitress was great at 1st. Somehow our dinner ticket got lost so we waiting 40 mins, our waitress did not come to us at all in the first 25 minutes. She was more interested in the table that was 2 up from ours. We were at booth 22, Regina was our waitress. After we got our food our waitress visited us twice. I asked for a box and our bill we waited another 20 minutes for that. The food great, but service failed. We were there 2 hours, saw our waitress maybe 5 times. Very unhappy debating if we ever go back. A suggestion have French dressing and croutons for salads.

    Server didn't seem to have time for us. Had too many tables when we arrived and then was too busy with her table of friends that arrived later. Came to tell us our food should only be a few more minutes (after waiting too long to begin with) and we had already had our food delivered by someone else for at least 5 minutes. Drinks took a long time to get. Ordered appetizer and our salads came within 2 minutes of getting that. Overall not a good experience.

    We’ve been to this location several times and usually a good experience. This visit was awful however, and hopefully an anomaly. Our server stood at another table for over 10 minutes while we waited for him to come over. No apologies for making us wait. Asked for our order and then never came back to ask how the food was, refresh drinks, or anything we’ve come to expect here. Hopefully this is rare, but if this was my first visit, no chance I’d return.

    Cook your steak or seafood on a hot granite tile of black rock. Not all tiles had the same heat, which can slow down cooking for different people at tyecrable, but they are able to replace it with a. More hot one. A trio of soups outvifva choice if 6 comes in smaller cups or a larger cup of one choice. The French onion soup was served with melted cheese on top and toast, a bit thinner than expected, but good flavor and seasoning. Steak medallion cooked on the hot black rock tile needed to be sliced into thinner straps to speed up cooking after searing each side, which still allowed for good control of the doneness of meat. Then you dip it in a white sauce (bernaise) or herbed butter, bith come on the side. Cooking sea scallops seemed simpler since they can be eaten even raw if the diner is into that, so anything goes. Several sides to choose two from as well. The sweet potato fries were better than expected and came with an unusual sweet Carmel sauce that worked very well and added some sweetness to all the savory items in the table. Asparagus spears were tender but maybe too soft. A $1 shrimp akewer add-on is certainly a good value to add to any entrè. Provides 5 to 6 large shrimps with tail on. Ordering them precooked saves time, and they do a great job. Their bubbly shrimp add on to some entrés is served in a small bowl on a scampi like bubbling hot sauce, a bit more flavorful than shrimp skewers but both are well prepared. Swrvers are knowledgeable and helpful. Most seating is in booths, but even away from around the central bar, one can catch echoes of noise but still able to carry out a conversation and hear others at the table with no significant difficulty. Good for a couple or a larger group.

    Had a good time. Very busy which made it a bit loud however that is to be expected for a Friday and I’m glad to see them busy. My table wait was minimal with the priority seating…others without it were at a one hour wait. All the staff was awesome even while being busy. Good visit…walked out smelling like steak though which is also expected with all the steak cooking at the tables.;-)
