Due to our high volume and traffic, we cannot hold tables for parties like a reservation system. We have a system called Priority Seating. This system secures a table within our restaurant, however, it does not guarantee an exact seat by time. Priority is placed on your party, and if we are on a wait, your party is placed on top of the wait list as a priority. We will seat you as fast as possible, but cannot guarantee an exact time. If the restaurant is not busy, we will seat the party upon arrival.

    It wasn’t bad , I visit the restaurant frequently only suggestions is for the party rooms don’t seat 2 guests next to big groups .. very hard of hearing and also the servers weren’t paying attention to us but it was still fine

    It took us over an hour and half to get our food. People got sat after us and had eaten and left by the time our food arrived. It was our anniversary and not one person asked anything about it. We put on here that it was our anniversary. What was the point of that, If it doesn’t tell the restaurant staff that it is our anniversary? I will not be back. The server never even asked if it was our first time being here or anything. We new some things about the restaurant but it would of been nice to be asked if it was our first time coming in. For the amount of money you pay I would expect better service.

    The food was good and the server was excellent. We did “priority seating” for 2 people and checked in on time. I was sitting near the desk and the next 3 people to check in (2 people, 7 and 2) that said they did not have priority seating were seated before us. When we finally asked we were told we were next and they took 2 additional tables before us. If there was an error when you checked me in, being honest would have gone further than lying about it.

    My experience at The Black Rock was really good. It was crowded so there were some wait times for our waitress to tens to us. However, she was very nice and explained why the wait. The food was DELICIOUS. The only thing that I will say is the floor was very slippery and I'm a high heel person. So you definitely have to tread lightly. I would recommend The Black Rock.

    The salads were were very good. The seared steak was excellent for those who chose that. However, I thought the other entrees were average. I had the stir fry and was disappointed that it was swimming in heavy sauce.

    A bit pricey. It was twice the amount that I thought it would be. The food wasn’t bad but kind of average. You cook your own food pretty much. The server was great though. Very attentive and very informative about how to cook the food. It just wasn’t worth the expensive price to me. Seems to me that this restaurant concept is more for a business meeting where one can bill the corporation for this outrageous price.

    First time using OpenTable and dining at Black Rock. We were very happy with our wait time and would definitely use OpenTable again. It was quite loud in the area we were seated; I would have preferred a booth so I could visit with my family. Service - the young lady that brought the food to the table, was very helpful explaining the rock. Our server could have removed the empty appetizer plates and napkins in a timelier manner - I found myself cleaning our table quite a few times. My daughter was not able to get the vinaigrette she requested which was disappointing. The food far exceeded our service.

    Black Rock is one of our favorite upscale places to dine. They have a wonderful selection of appetizers as well as entrees. It is fun to cook your own steak on the rock! Plus their sip sip sunday is a great value with mimosas, bloody marys, long island iced teas and a lemonade drink on special for $3.50!

    What a joke, this isn't a reservation and they shouldn't be on Open Table. There was a 40 minute wait to be seated and it took 2hrs to get our food once we were seated. They are an operational mess.

    Very slow service despite not being crowded. Beer barely cool. Fries cold. Steak was still a bit warm. Ribs stringy and cold. Two previous visits were satisfactory to good. Convenient walking distance to two hotels. Maybe just a bad night, but I will hesitate to try again.

    We waited 40-50 minutes for our food after it was ordered. All of our sides were lukewarm or cooler. We did not say anything because we waited so long for our food and just wanted to eat. It was Christmas Eve and it seemed like none of the employees wanted to be there.

    First time visiting the franchise. Great design and layout. Server very informative and made great recommendations. Showed us how to cook the food on the hot stone. Unique experience. A little noisy from ‘business meeting’ in adjacent booth which was a little annoying but didn’t spoil the night. We will be coming back 😀👍🏿

    It was our first time at Black Rock. We celebrated my mother-in-law's 80th birthday. The 6oz sirloin was high quality, tender, and very tasty. Our son enjoyed the sirloin and medallions. Cooking on the volcanic stone was so much fun, every bite was cooked just right, and warm, right off the 'grill' so to speak. The side salad was not too large, and included field greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, and cheese. The bleu cheese and ranch salad dressings were very good as well. The wine by the glass prices were $9 to $16. I enjoyed a glass of the red blend. The volcano dessert (free because of the birthday) was demolished in no time, and was delicious. This is our new favorite steakhouse. The cost was a little bit more than the other steakhouses, but well worth it. It was a little drafty where we sat, but not too bad. We will definitely be back.
