Black Rock - Beaver Creek - PRIORITY SEATING
Great restaurant overall. Food is awesome, service is outstanding. On the pricey side, but to be expected for the quality of the food.
We have had a good experience at this site before but not this visit. Waited 30min for a table despite Priority Seating. Waited an hour for our appetizer (the Spinach Artichoke dip was excellent). 1 steak was good but the other was rubber (not fatty just rubbery meat - could only eat 1/2). Very disappointing - not sure if we will go back.
Very good and on time.
We did the priority seating and waited an hour and saw people that came n after us get seated first. Had them cook ur steaks and were way underdone. Our server was awesome!
The tables are too big for two people to have a conversation. Too industrial for an upscale restaurant. You also come out smelling because of steaks being cooked on those rocks.
Not my kind of atmosphere if I am paying that price for a steak. Not once did our waiter tell us to be careful with the hot rock.
Tried it; will not go back!
Priority seating was fine the food was underwhelming
And service wasn't the best. Won't be back.
I would recommend reserving with open table but would not recommend this restaurant. Food was mediocre and the service was awful
Great food, best steak anywhere, it’s loud but a good loud, so much fun to cook your own food at the table
Been here twice and it has been amazing. Service always top notch. Experience and food is fantastic. Highly recommend for enjoying at date night at this place. Utilize the priority seating. Totally worth it.
Priority Seating is Fantastic! Arrived about 5 minutes prior to designated time and apx 10 minutes later a text came in indicating they were ready for us. The 755 degree rock experience was neat and steak was the juiciest steak I have ever eaten. Prices are on the higher side but over all, I would recommend!
Fortunately, we arrived at a time when there was nobody else in line so we got a table right away, even with 6 adults and 2 high chairs. But only a short time later, they definitely got busy so anytime after 6 I recommend priority seating for sure! We had pickles and pretzels as an appetizer and the pretzels.... Buttery and soft and the sauces are amazing. Definitely an experience to cook your own steak on a lava rock but something worth doing. The mushrooms we got as as extra to the steak are also brought out in a lava rock bowl and bubbles the whole time we were eating. Hot food from the first bite to the last! They don't have sweet tea, so don't ask. Hopefully they will at some point. The floors were super slick as well, probably from the sizzling food. Tread lightly for sure. Waitress was attentive but not hovering. Even noticed that the kitchen made a sandwich incorrectly and has a new one made immediately! My birthday dessert had a whole sparkler in it! Those 2 things do not distract from the overall quality of the restaurant and I can't wait to go back!
It’s smoky in the building. And the lighting is too bright on the tables but the food was amazing
It was good and food tasted amazing
This is a very reasonably priced meal for the level of service. The food is excellent!
it was my granddaughter‘s birthday dinner, and she picked this location. We had never eaten there before, and will never be back again. The floor was a grease pit, the food was cold, and I am not sure how you can mess up a cheeseburger but they won the award. This place is definitely way overpriced, and overrated. Once we arrived back home we smelt like we had been in a grease fire. The only good thing about this dinner was our granddaughter enjoyed her meal.
It was a very busy night. Issue was someone put into the system my table was ready way early. When I checked in the hostess and manager said their system crashed and the message was sent. I do not believe that story. I believe an employee goofed and rather than admit a mistake a computer malfunction was invented. Unfortunately, I am fairly computer literate and don’t buy that explanation. I would try them again.
I had a priority seating reservation for 7:45pm i was seated at 8:59pm. I did not leave the restaurant until 10:03. The best part of the staff if definitely the bar staff. By time i ordered my food i was no longer interested in the experience. I know i ordered to sides but seems waiter forgot add 1 to the order. Not worth the money if you ask me. Food not terrible but not worth it overall.
The priority seating is clearly explained, but BEWARE! IT OFFERS LITTLE VALUE AND THEIR SYSTEM IS ERROR PRONE. DO NOT MAKE PLANS FOR AFTER DINNER --- HIGH RISK YOU WILL STILL WAIT HOURS PAST YOUR PRIORITY TIME.
We had priority seating at 7:45pm. Arrived at 7pm and let them know we were there. We sat and waited within clear sight of hostess. We checked to be sure we were not forgotten. At almost 8:30pm we were told we were next. After seeing several parties seated before us we checked AGAIN and were told that they cancelled our seating! No one knew who on their staff did it or why.
Asked to speak to manager who explained they were having system problems and others were getting texts their table was ready when it really wasn't ... so I guess they seated them all the while leaving us.
After dinner plans had to be cancelled and nothing more than being told they were really busy was any type of courtesy extended ... offer of free dessert or appetizer would have been nice but I guess they don't care about how long they keep people waiting with no explanation and then cancel their seating. Wonder if we hadn't checked back in if they would have bothered to ever say anything to us or would have left us sitting there when they locked up.
Food is good but for a party of two with tip was over $100. (I don't cheat the waiter tip because management of restaurant is poor.)
They need to do away with their technology, because it doesn't work or they don't know how to use it and just go to plan old pencil and paper because honestly they don't know what they are doing and you might as well know you are going to sit there all night.
Priority seating worked exactly as I hoped. We walked in the door and our host seated us immediately. I must add the fact we arrived at 5:30 so a later arrival may include a little wait. But for my first visit I was pleased.
Service was very slow and our waiter seemed to be having trouble keeping up with demand. In fact, we realized upon leaving that our friend didn't receive the soup he ordered. My other complaint is that there isn't enough room on the table to hold the cooking stone and other food ordered, like the salads and potatoes. It was kind of cool cooking steaks on the stones, but I doubt we'll return.
NOT FOR KIDS. The cooking stone is placed in front of you (800 degrees) on regular size table. If you have children with you (we had 3!) you are constantly worrying they are going to touch the stone. The steak was good but nothing great. Steak "butter" started splattering . Floor slippery. VERY noisy-couldn't hear the waiter or each other. Not a fan.
Our reservation was at 7:30, but we weren't seated until around 8:00-8:15. They over booked at 7:30 with three large parties, but then were seating 2 people at a 6 person table. The food was great and the rock experience was fun, but not worth the money. I don't think I will be going back.
Wonderful great first experience
When we arrived we received a text for seating within about 10 minutes, however we decided to sit at the bar. Our bartender was great! Great personality, attentive and multi tasked like a champ! Despite how extremely busy they were she never was impatient or rushed our order. The cooking experience on a 750 degree volcanic rock was also fun, something different! Definitely recommended for an interesting date or special occasion
Josh was our server and he was AWESOME took great care of us. Gave us great tips on how to cook our steak and menu suggestions.
Neat restaurant. Good food. Long waits if you go during prior hours. Would recommend either restaurant to provide a bib or wear clothing that you can offend to get grease on. Steaks sizzle from salt and butter and splatter on your clothes.
Nice restaurant, good food and service. Just too loud and too many tv's.
I recommend making reservations or you going to have a very long wait. The food was fantastic the restaurant is a little smaller than what it appears to be from the outside.
With priority seating it took 25 minutes to get a table for 4. Several tables sat empty so I think they were short staffed.
Extensive menu. Drinks were good.
It was fun to cook the steak on the hot rocks. All of our meals were delicious.
The only downside was that everything was covered in grease. The floor was a little slippery. The restaurant became very smoky by the end of the meal. When we walked outside we realized our glasses had grease on them as did our clothes.
Fun place to go for s special occasion but wear easily washable clothes and don’t plan to go anywhere afterwards where they don’t like the smell of cooked meat! Our dogs were really attentive when we got home!😆
Food and service were excellent. Noise level was too loud for table conversation.
Service was great. However it’s so loud inside the restaurant it’s hard to have a conversation. Maybe consider using live plants to help decrease the noise.
Unique experience and the steaks were great!
Although the food was very good the service was negligible. We waited over an hour for our entrees and were never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks, even our water sat empty while we waited.
One of had steak, the other has tuna. We shared to create a surf and turf. We both preferred the steak, which was really delicious when eaten immediately after cooking it to our preference, but the tuna was very good as well. Several sauces came with our entrees, plus a choice of side dishes. In addition there are lots of other menu choices for those who don't want to cook on a rock. We definitely want to return.
The food was great but we had our reservation for 615 didn’t get a table until 646
The wait time was very long, but I expected that. However the food and service was amazing! I definitely give this place 5 stars!
We were seated at the time frame I requested. Server was friendly and knowledgeable
It was very unorganized and when we walked in there was at least 5 visable tables open and we still waited 25 min from our time.
They were very busy tonight, but we still got a table pretty quickly. The food is soooo good. We’ve tried a few things, but we always go back to the steak. Highly recommended.
