The food and service were disappointingly mediocre. Not very gluten free or vegetarian friendly. The sauce on the vegetarian pasta was too spicy and could not be altered to make it more palatable.

Good place, been about 5 times in the pat few years. Unexplained and un-announced 5% surcharge on the bill = unfortunately I won’t be back. I wouldn’t care abut the $7.00 had there been any attempt at an explanation, but randomly increasing the bill for no apparent reason = probably not the only customer you’ve lost.

We are a regular here and love the food, service and the live jazz band. Don't take that away. We brought friends last night and it was there first time. They really enjoyed it.

I went on a Friday night and it was bustling! They had a beautiful jazz band, the vibes were stellar, and the food and drink was yummy. Loved our server David was funny, kind and quick. Can't wait to come back here!

We go to this restaurant for date night. We ate outside on the patio and were entertained with live music. The vibe was great, the food was exceptional, as always, and the service was amazing thanks to our waiter, Brian. The service has always been top notch. Highly recommend.

Service good, dining room noise very loud. Hard to hold conversation with our friends. Happy hour sliders too well done, our server was very good and had them removed from our bill.

I think where u sit makes a big difference like most places, against corner wall by busser station n restrooms isn’t the same as seeing the bar area and piano, jazz didn’t start at 630 on time so when we left at 7:10 we still didn’t get to hear any live music :( which is why we came and brought my bfs parents that were visiting from the east coast

Came here to give the restaurant a second chance since we had come in June and were dissapointed. It was like night and day, our server Michelle was excellent with menu suggestions and we really enjoyed our dinner. Glad we came back!

We were sitting on the patio when the band started playing they were so loud it was hard to carry on a conversation because we couldn’t each other. It really wasn’t enjoyable

My wife and I go there every now and then, this time it was our 20 year wedding anniversary. when they greeted us at the front they congratulated us , and our server did as well. they brought us out some complementary champagne for anniversary, and made us feel very welcome. The food was spectacular; The ambience is great, the atmosphere is really nice and relaxing. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants and will continue to come here. I would highly recommend that everyone should come to Black Rail for dinner, brunch, anniversary, or birthday. Thank you “ Black Rail Kitchen +Bar “ for the great night of dining.

We sat outside and the band was loud, and sorry but not very good. Drinks were over priced, and food was just not that good. We have liked this restaurant previously, but they were sure off last Thursday 10/19/2023.

Beyond great food. Attentive service. Quality in every respect. Limited wine by the glass list. Not a good place for children (several were running around, but our server mentioned this to the manager and the misbehavior stopped). Jazz was great. Place is lovely. Blankets and many heating lamps kept us warm on a chilly night. Will return!

Enjoyed a lovely outdoor brunch at Black Rail. Pork Belly Hash, candied bacon and French toast were just delicious. Excellent service and we enjoyed the music nice keyboard jazz.

Perhaps the absolute worst dining experience I or anyone in our party experienced. Server was combative, rude, aggressive, defensive, and inattentive. I’ve never seen anything quite like it in my life. The bartender seemed lovely.

One of my favorite restaurants- the only issue for me is that the music (live music on weekends) is way too loud to sit anywhere near it. We just prefer to sit in the back room.
