Black Pearl Ann Arbor
Ambiance and service were good. Foot was very subpar for all 7 of us there.
One of my Favorites in Ann Arbor, consistently excellent. Best Fish Taco's in town.
Enjoyable meal. All four in our party seemed satisfied with our plates.
Excellent restaurant! Would highly recommend. Excellent service.
Service was exceptional and food has been consistently outstanding time and time again! I highly recommend!!
The service an food at Black Pearl were outstanding! It's our go-to-place for family celebrations!
Food was fantastic. We ate so many appetizers because they were so delicious. Didn’t make it to the entrees. That’s for next time. Cocktails were delicious too. Waiter was very professional. We had a wonderfully relaxed and happy evening with delicious food!
We had a wonderful evening celebrating my son's 21st birthday. Waitress was awesome and attentive for our family, food was beyond delicious, and the drinks wonderfully fresh and unique.
Two words - Fish Tacos! Still, after many holidays in Mexico and on the Caribbean, we have not found any to compare.
Additionally, the place a small but well-thought-out menu filled with tasty plates. One can sit at a table for a more formal meal or at the bar to wade though a number of the appetizers (tapas style) while drinking from the decent wine and cocktail menu.
The place always has a nice vibe, and the only problem might be getting a table on the most busy nights.
I am from out of town and had the task of finding a place for a business dinner with two colleagues and after looking at the menu and looking at some reviews chose the Black Pearl. We each enjoyed the martinis we had prior to dinner. Dinner was delicious! We each had something different and each dish was excellent. Everyone thought it was a great choice.
Good food good drinks. Fish tacos were great.
Cool ambiance. Nice waitstaff. Ann Arbor pricey to be expected- $75 for three bowls of soup, one entree, a beer, a tea, and a side salad with salmon...and delicious lava cake dessert.
We had a great time.
Food and service was fantastic! Highly recommend
David was an amazing server. We had never been here before. Food was delicious!!
The Black Pearl consistently delivers well prepared food in a lovely setting, served by attentive, friendly wait staff. Service always excellent. Fun place to eat in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor. Would like to see the wine list improve.
Food is simply outstanding!
Great food and awesome service. They were also very accommodating when my map app made me late and then parking took a bit longer, too.
Ate there before seeing a show at the ARK. Perfect location. And the blackened swordfish was amazing.
Nice atmosphere. Cozy, not too noisy. Good for a date. Great food and service.
Excellent as always
Meghan the server was friendly and timely, and the food as always was delish. Black Pearl has a cool, relaxed ambiance about it, making it the perfect place to enjoy a terrific meal.
Great drinks and food! Love going to the Black Pearl
Everything was superb from the drinks to the service to the quality of the food. Our server Jonathan was excellent and spot on with his recommendations. 5STAR all the way
Tables are too close together for an intimate dinner best kept to a fun night out with friends or casual conversation. The bar is very good as are the servers and manager the food is eclectic and tasty.
Good! Great food, good service, good ambience
Very good food! Nice somewhat dark atmosphere. Please remove god awful cilantro!!!!
The absolute best fish tacos I have ever had! Ever!!
We’ve been to Black Pearl many times. The food is always exceptional. There is a wide variety of signature cocktails as well as a full bar. The only downside is that the menu does not seem to change al all, except the nightly specials.
Awesome food, service & cocktails!!
One of my favorite places in Ann Arbor. The BEST martinis. Love the fish tacos and beef tips. Always have nice servers. Love this place!
Great place to get yummy food before a concert st the Ark! Will go here again for sure!
I innovative and friendly
They are known for their "fish tacos" but they were very underwhelming. My husband ordered those and I had the pork chop. It was very tough, had to really dig in to cut it. The chop came with mashed sweet potatoes that were so sweet it felt as if I was eating a pureed pumpkin pie. I will go back for a cocktail because I liked the list of options but probably won't return for the food.
Attended Michigan game with daughter. Had a fantastic dinner. Burgers were awesome. Mixed drinks delicious!
We went here before a Michigan Football Game. We had a great time! Our waiter, Michael, was very attentive. Food was excellent and our drinks were good!
Family met for dinner. We have not seen each other for over 15 years. We made a reservation, and we spent $140. That was for three people. Apparently we overstayed our welcome. Mike, the manager, came over and asked us to leave. Although he was nice, he said he had too many reservations waiting and we needed to go. Considering we had spent quite a bit of money and we were not just having a drink, I was offended.it put a cloud on the evening to be sure. Also, I emailed him to express my concerns and he did not respond.
Service way slow
We went because it was the only place around that had oysters on the menu, since they are not in season. They were fantastic. Drinks were great and our server was very knowledgeable on all the drinks and food
